Why Are Scratchers Leaving?

I see a lot of Scratchers left after Scratch 3.0 or when Scratch 3.0 is very soon.
What's happening??

Why Are Scratchers Leaving?

A lot of Scratchers didn't like 3.0 and threatened to leave upon its release.

Actually, I don't like, too. It's a good reason to leave.

Why Are Scratchers Leaving?

Yes, some Scratchers are leaving due to 3.0, but that's not the only reason.

Some Scratchers leave because they need to move on with their life.
Some leave because of new activities, like more advanced programming languages or social media.(Ex. @Cinematic)
It depends on the user.

Why Are Scratchers Leaving?

Many people left because of the release of Scratch 3. This was mainly due to unwanted Paint Editor updates and the Scratch website starting to look more “babyish”. Also, Scratchers might feel that they need to move on to another language, because Scratch is a limited program, and there is only so much you can do with it.

Why Are Scratchers Leaving?

The reason why Scratch's site went modern and childish is that so the UI (most likely the blocks) would sync with… the PBS kids version of ScratchJr?

Scratch Community when 3.0 was released:
when green flag clicked:: #043a70
if <HTML5 Scratch (2.0) is made:: #6dd319> then:: #223d0f
Convert (Scratch (3.0) projects:: #6dd319) to (Scratch (3.0) projects:: #6dd319):: #4277f4
Implement (Scratch (3.0):: #6dd319) features to (Scratch (2.0):: #6dd319):: #4277f4
else
Stick with (Scratch (3.0):: #6dd319) and deal with it:: #4277f4
end
