having the option to remove the "message1" message
If we can remove the “my variables” in the variables, why can't we do that with the message1? I use messages a lot and honestly, I'm fine with it. It's just that it's just going to make scratch a bit better, I think. i need your opinions, ok?

No support. This would prevent New Scratchers from learning messages.

If you ignore it and create a new one, the “message1” message will auto-delete

it's incredibly annoying that you can't delete messages manually. you have to find every use of the message just to get rid of it.

If you use a message block, get a new message other than message1, make sure there are no instances of message1, and go to a new sprite, message1 will be deleted. You can do this for any message.

I don't get what you're saying ?_? If you use a message block, get a new message other than message1, make sure there are no instances of message1, and go to a new sprite, message1 will be deleted. You can do this for any message.

Basically just make a new message and make sure you aren't using the message “message1” in any sprite and the stage. It will automically be deleted then.I don't get what you're saying ?_? If you use a message block, get a new message other than message1, make sure there are no instances of message1, and go to a new sprite, message1 will be deleted. You can do this for any message.

Support! I always find myself looking in the broadcasts and trying to find an option to delete them, an option to delete them manually would be great!

I will agree that having useless broadcasts around all the time is a bit annoying. They only disappear if all uses of the message have been deleted, but maybe you can't find the used blocks any more.

Support! I'm working on an animation meme, and having “message1” is a little annoying, since all the others have specific names.

Support! Perhaps underneath the options for choosing which message there is “rename broadcast” and “delete broadcast”. These would help greatly and make it much more intuitive.

No support. The “message1” message is there to be a placeholder, and to show new scratchers the just of broadcasts. If it's removed, what will they think if it's just a blank box? And, it's not very annoying at all. Once you actually create a broadcast, the message1 broadcast will delete itself automatically.
