we could have an ST appreciation day, as proposed before but anti-scratch day? It would just be unnecessary.

1) I'm pretty sure the Scratch Team aren't always working on scratch, I'm pretty sure they don't spend all of their time working on and moderating the website, even then, I understand everyone needs a break, I'm pretty sure they get breaks anyway.

2) Um, while yes, people would have more to do, some people practically live on scratch and the forums, it's like learning that your favorite event or video game has been cancelled or was taken down for a day, this would probably cause people to think they were banned, and instead of taking a break, they'd be very stressed out about it.

3) I'm already grateful for the Scratch Team's efforts, why would I need a day where it wouldn't work to be grateful when I already am.

Besides, I agree with @MeowyTitan08 and @willowmint-, schools use scratch, this would be incredibly annoying, and for contests with due dates on this (terrible) “anti-scratch day” they might not get the thing in on time, I know that feeling and it's just terrible.

Essentially, no support, this is a terrible idea

Exactly. My school used Scratch in fifth grade, and we had to make a project which we got a good 6 months to do. But our class was a talented and gifted class so only one class a week which is about 144 hours. But we were beginners and we needed every hours of this time. The second to last day of class, we had to show it to second graders from a neighboring classroom. If ASD happened on any of those days, we'd be in trouble. 1/24 of worktime would be gone for a meaningless holiday. What if it happened on the presenting day? That was our second to last class, we didn't have much to spare. Plus, the day of the last class was also Water Day for the younger grades. What second grader will spend their day playing with trashy beginner games, rather than water? None of them! In conclusion, no support. So many bad situations could unfold, not to mention how pointless it is.

I'm sorry for not being very constructive, but total no support, this has many downsides (As many others have said) it also would not help the community at all, a scratch team aappreciation day would be good, while satisfying some of the reasons behind this request, so that might be a good alternative.

Users can take a break from scratch whenever they want. ST members have holidays. This would cause far more outrage than happiness, so no support.
