I want to make my sprite draw a line but can't find the block to put a pen down. Any ideas?

You have to go all the way to the bottom and choose Extensions. Pen is there now.

You press extensions. (down the block choice menu, e.g. Events, Motion, Sensing) Then choose “Pen”. The stuff would be there. Most likely.

Go to extension bottom of the page. Then, click PEN, after go to pen, tap pen down.

I think the confusion here is due to the fact that there isn't an actual button labeled “extensions”.

To clarify, you can find the “extensions” page by clicking on the blue button at the bottom left of the editor (way under the My Blocks option). This button should have what looks like two ScratchBlocks with a “+” sign. Clicking on that will open up a window with several options, including “Pen” - the second option.
