I think instead of “a neville mon” it's probably “an evil lemon,” a reference to the evil kumquat

You had that one solved in under 2 hours. The string was supposed to be “congratulations! i used five bit encryption for this one” but I guess I forgot the “ ” in the hint key. I'm also using it as a method of compression (TI-BASIC is weird) in a program I'm working on.

Looks like JavaScript, but when I try to run it, I get

Uncaught TypeError: ((intermediate value)(...) + [])[(+(![]))] is not a function

`` is an empty string (if this is actually JavaScript). I believe it causes something to be converted to a string.

It's because you can't start a line with a parentheses in JavaScript if the previous line doesn't use semicolons; otherwise it'll try to execute the previous line as a function call
