Sound Loudness Block - Test it now!

I think it is for the best because it is in the same group as the play sound and stop sounds blocks. Maybe the loudness block can be changed to mic loudness?

I think you need to update the link in your signature since you updated the player

Support, but one block like that can't give multiple values. It should be like this:
([loudness | pitch v] of sound playing :: sound)
Then you would probably also add pitch for sensing:
([loudness | pitch v] :: sensing)

What do you mean “one block like that can't give multiple values”?
When I wrote that you were calling it “sound data” which seems to mean multiple data things

Except they'd be in different categories, so it would be pretty hard to confuse them.

I support this idea.

Is this similar to the volume block in Sounds?

It measures the current volume of the sound playing. Play my demo project in the Scratch Sound Loudness Online player to see.

No. The volume block shows the current volume in the Scratch player. This returns the frequency (loudness for more simple terms) of all of the currently playing sounds. So if you ran this:

when green flag clicked
play sound [my new sound! v]
forever
set x to (sound loudness::looks)
end

It would always set the x position to a number between 0 and 100 based on how loud the sound is.
