heyy <3 I haven't been on the forums for nearly a year, but, I'm here now :3
I'm currently working on a reboot of one of my oldest stories. it's nowhere near done (haven't even finished chapter one) but I'm kinda proud of it so here's a sneak of what I've done

“Angieee!!!” Emily called to her cousin Angela, at about 08:00 AM.

Angela weakly lifted her sleepmask off of her eyes, and nearly fell out of bed as the bright rays of the sun blasted across NYC, right into her apartment bedroom, and then finally into her unprepared eyes.

Emily slid into Angela’s room. “Oh, good, you’re up,”

“I might be.” Angela said. “Anyways, what’s going on?”

“You know what going on!” Emily laughed. “With the science convention? Uncle Sherman?”

“Oh, y-yeah.”

“It’s in an hour.” Emily said shortly.

“Wha- But it’s across town! And I’m not the slightest bit prepared and – ” She tried to walk across the room and tripped on a shoe. “Have you got breakfast ready?”

“Yep. It’s all ready to go. I’ll meet you there.” Emily said, spinning around and walking out of the bedroom.

In a few minutes Angela was all put together and in the dining room-kitchen hybrid.

Their shared dog, Ellie, was sleeping by their feet.

“Think she’ll miss us?” Emily asked.

“Maybe. We will be gone for a bit.” Angela said.

“How long, do you think?” Emily said. “You know how I get if I’m away from the house too long.”

“I’d wager about six hours, eight if they include speeches.”

“Ah.”

The oven timer Emily had set to give them time to eat went off.

“Ooh, we need to go – Bye, El!” Angela said, grabbing her purse and signaling Emily to follow her out the door.

They rushed as quietly as the could down the steep and sometimes creaky steps that silently told any visitor or neighbor going up them its history. There were patches worm into the middle of the step, giving a tour guide of the many shoes that had been placed on it. There were places in the wall that were slightly darker than the rest, showing you were many hands had been.


they have last names too, but for the chance that Scratch doesn't recognize them as actual names (which, as far as my knowing, they are not) I edited them out
