In my capacity as the person who's been doing the design work so far, I strongly advise not accepting this application, design wise. Also, the example promo shows a clear lack of understanding of what we're doing. Our mission isn't to make the world a better place starting with Scratch. We have all seen the harm that can come from taking things into the real world. The become bureaucratic messes quickly, and get nowhere.

Aplication for Design Head

I can be design head because I'm a decent designer, although I don't have very many examples. I think I could handle most stuff that you through at me. And I really want to see this collaboration succeed so that we can make cool things together.

Some Examples on Scratch: @ajsya_Art
Also, check out the projects in my siggy (especially Peach Book OS)

It's okay if I don't get the spot.

Also, I think the Github Idea would work. Or, we could just create a Scratch Studio and remix projects, although this might look a little sloppy.
I think either 1132262 or MClovers should host the main/first project.

Probably not head designer. Your design style doesn't really work well with what we've been doing so far. From what I can see it seems to be colorful and rather simplistic. I think all the design work necessary for the forum thread itself is done, leaving us only with the design work for the projects.
We would probably need UI design work. You may have realized we are working on a program called Launchpad, which needs project pages. To formally apply, could you send us a UI of the project page? Details here.

We, as designers, would love to join this collab. The only problem is that you think our ‘design styles’ are not good enough. The truth is, we are just displaying our portfolios. No one ever said that those are what we would be designing. I believe that @Ajsya and I are both excellent designers who could, if you gave us a chance, be great for SSB.

Anyways.
The problem isn't how “good” your design styles are. It's their difference from the one we have been pursuing so far. There is, of course, no way to objectively evaluate design styles, so we'll have to go on similarity to our theme so far.
The forum banners and stuff, you may have noticed, are generally black on white, and use Anders and Futura. Do you two have programs that support importing fonts?
Anyways, please follow the directions I gave to @ajsya for submitting a formal application.

WHO SHARES PROJECTS?

(BTW, I reserved @ShopBuxCommunity with a fake email, will transfer to Alpha when he logs on. Did so to prevent anybody taking it.)
I personally think we should just share them on a SSBC account, using GitHub to collaborate. From my experience, working with studios tends to be hard. It creates problems with version names, only one person updating at a time, etc.

If a user account shared the SSBC projects, it might be hard for people to find them. Anybody have other ideas, though?

Okay, so here are my reasons why you should choose me.
- For Vice Design Head -
-I use multiple graphics programs, and I can export in any major format, including *.svg
-I am a part of a Digital Arts class
-I can span my design styles from Classical, Modernistic, Playful, and Sleek
-For Ideas Head-
-Every night I lie in bed, the brightest colors fill my head! A Million Dreams are keeping me awake (No, seriously)
-I can correctly identify problems, and come up with solutions
-I have flexible timing
-I can visualize and workaround roadblocks
-I can create mockup UIs

I think we should limit the bureaucracy here, and stick with the roles we have. That way, people can work in multiple areas without taking up spaces for other people, and receive guidance from the leader of the section. Also, your logo is still messed up.
