Support because even though there is a workaround, it is not actually really surprisingly convenient to do.

I had a topic that was closed as a duplicate, so here's my opinion:
Part 1: Introduction
I want the Remix Tree (to be more specific, its button) to come back to Scratch. It was a useful feature. Now, to access it I must type “/remixtree” to the end of the project URL. I feel like a large amount of users will not know how to do this, and for users who joined post-3.0 will not know a “Remix Tree” even existed.
Part 2: Redesign
The remix tree hasn't had any redesigns from 2.0 to 3.0. It would be cool if Scratch Team modified the graphics, but also added some features.
Part 3: No, it's not unnecessary
It is much easier to use than navigating through loads of trash remixes in a grid. It was good to find out the good remixes, and the people who are just screwing up the project (and then someone else making a remix of that remix, screwing it up even further).
Part 3.5: Unnecessary ≠ Useless ≠ Removed
The Remix Tree is ALREADY THERE, so there is no harm in adding it back in. Someone could make a Firefox extension that adds the button back in, and that would be it.

That is exactly what i was thinking. your smart!

That does work, but I doubt new Scratchers would know to do that.

The remix tree is a very useful feature for things like “add yourself” projects, as it allows you to navigate large remix chains and get a visual representation of all the remix “branches” without having to hop between lots of projects. To someone who doesn't know of the remix tree, navigating through large chains of projects would be very tedious and slow as you'd have to find a remix on the remixes tab on the right hand side of the page, click it, wait for the page to load and then repeat the process for however many times you'd need to get up to the latest remix, which could take ages depending on how long the remix chain is. On top of that there's no way to gauge when each remix branch ends or which of the remix branches is longer so finding the biggest remix of a certain project is practically impossible unless you want to go through lots and lots of projects which would be tedious and impractical.

The whole reason the remix tree exists is to make navigating through large remix chains simple and intuitive and without the remix tree button visible on project pages, New Scratchers likely won't know of it meaning they won't be able to navigate through large remix chains meaning they will be much less likely to try and participate in things like “add yourself” projects due to the lack of easy navigation.

I don't know if it's just me but I don't see any “add yourself” projects on the front page anymore, and I feel like they're not popular anymore due to the lack of a visible remix tree. It'd be great if the remix tree button was re-added to project pages so everyone knew of it again, as that was one of Scratch 2.0's core features and it promotes collaboration and all sorts of adventurous projects.

This may seem like a small thing. It's only two different ways of seeing remixes.
But there is a difference. With the current system, you can only see just the remixes of that one project. You can't see the remixes of the remixes.
This affects (small) things like “add yourself doing _____” projects no longer go in a perfect line of remixes of remixes. Instead of being all remixes of the original project.

Scratch Wiki wrote:

The Remix Tree was a way of showing an extensive hierarchy of remixes originating from one project. To access the remix tree of a project, one clicked the “tree” button at the rightmost edge of the project statistics bar. When visualized, hearts were bundled near projects with many love-its, and one could navigate through the various branches and explore the chains of remixing. If a project had too many remixes, not all remixes would be shown simultaneously, but instead one could select folders of remixes which will then unravel. However, there was an issue where sometimes branches goes under the screen, and the rest of the branch was not visible in any way. The button was removed in Scratch 3.0, due to its lack of use and necessity. However, remix trees can still be accessed by adding /remixtree to any project URL.

I definitely agree that the remix tree should be made readily accessible again (and no, having it accessible by the largely unknown method of adding a string to the URL is not good enough). It was quite handy.

Hi guys! A lot of you have been wondering how to still use the remix tree. Well I know how!
1. Copy and paste the link or just go to the project that you want to see the remix tree.
2. Go to the link at the top and paste it if you didn't already.
3. In the link, write /remixtree at the end of the link like this:
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/391128488
That's the project
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/391128488/remixtree
That's the remix tree!

Enjoy!

Semi support. It's good to bring back the button, but I feel like putting the link on the Notes and Credits section is just as simple as clicking the button.

But what if you want to view the remix tree for a project that doesn't have the link in Notes and Credits?

Anyway, one possible workaround is to add a browser bookmark for the following URL:
javascript:void(location.href+="remixtree")

I also made a userscript that shows the remix tree when you click the remix count, but I'm not allowed to put a link here.
