Have a way to limit remixing

One thing that I've noticed is that there are so many good projects on Scratch. But sometimes they get covered in remixes. I believe that there should be a way for someone who owns the original project to make it so people can't remix it. Though I mean the original project, not remixes. Just a button or something that allows someone to turn off remixing. I think it would limit the amount of recolored projects and “fixed” projects.

Have a way to limit remixing

Sorry, but this suggestion is rejected.

3.2 Disable remixing or censor minor remixes
One of the most important ideas of Scratch is the share aspect. Scratch is a website not only for displaying your work, but also for sharing it with others, and by posting your project on the Scratch website you agree to allow others to remix your work. You are not allowed to write “Do not remix this project” in the Notes and Credits of your project; you may get alerted for this because it discourages remixing.

A remix of a project is allowed on Scratch, even if the remix only contains minor changes (this includes recolors). However, when you remix a project, you should put in the Notes and Credits what you changed. If you see a project that contains no noticeable changes, please use the Report button on it so the Scratch Team can take a look at it.

For more information, see #4.1 on this list. This suggestion extends to “extremely minor remixes,” such as a remix of a game that gives you 2 points per second instead of 1. As long as the user explains what they changed about the project and gives proper credit, this is okay.
Here's the Complete List of Rejected Suggestions. It is recommended that you look at it.

Also, you should note that when you signed up for Scratch, you have agreed that, under section 4.3 of the Terms of Use, you permit other users and the Scratch Team to freely remix your content even without permission.
Terms of Use wrote:

4.3
All user-generated content you submit to Scratch is licensed to and through Scratch under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license. This allows others to view and remix your content. This license also allows the Scratch Team to display, distribute, and reproduce your content on the Scratch website, through social media channels, and elsewhere. If you do not want to license your content under this license, then do not share it on Scratch.
A ‘disable remixing’ option would violate this clause and thus the Scratch Team has decided not to implement such a feature. Sorry to disappoint.

Thank you for sharing your ideas, though, keep thinking of new ways to make Scratch a better place.

What's wrong with being “covered in remixes”? Only a few appear in the sidebar, so they aren't very intrusive.

Not all remixes are exact copies of the original project. Mostly they have some extra fun addition like “Super Mario Bros 2 But Then Hacked” so it could be funny to view. But the ST is constantly reminding us to report any projects that are a complete copy of another one, especially if someone downloads a project and claims it to be their own. I also recommend you read The Complete List of Rejected Suggestions and the Terms of Use before posting suggestions because both those links say that disabling remixes will not be a feature anytime soon. Anyways, I'll report this topic to be closed since it is not allowed. Thanks!
