I heard that the biomes that didn't win the Biome vote, including the ones from last year would eventually be redone to include these things but at a later date than the biomes that have won the Biome Vote this year and last year

How did it take so long? When I play Survival, I usually find my first diamonds within 2 days of first starting. On one server I actually got full set of armour, a sword, and tools all made of diamond within a week, so idk how you can take so many years… Were you relying on caves to find them? Or were u tunneling? Tunneling at layer 10-12 is the best way to find diamonds, especially if you strip-mine

I was watching an ibxtoycat video and he was banning people for a week if they had full diamond armour. It was part of a realms experiment.
