Where Did the Scratch Project Recorder Go? (And what are some replacements for it?)

I remember before Scratch 3.0, there used to be something in Scratch that recorded your project, but I never used it, and now when I do want to use it, I can't find it. It was probably removed in Scratch 3.0, or it's an extension or I just can't find it. I was going to record one of my projects and make it into my logo, but now I don't know how I will. The current workaround I have is not getting a screen recorder, then modifying the recording and turning it into a GIF: I'm going to save every frame of my project as an image and then turn that into a GIF and modify it. That's actually easier than it sounds, since my project is only 16 frames, and most of them are duplicates. Still, is there a simpler way to do it?

The project that I'm going to take the frames from is here.
The site that I'm going to use to compile the images into a GIF is here.
The site that I'm going to use to resize the GIF is here.

I'm dual_creator43, and I hope I've done well with anything. (Projects, forum replies, etc.) My Scratch habits include:
  • checking my inbox
  • being active in the forums
  • working on my projects (sometimes)

This is probably the best post anyone has ever made for me.
Don't you hate it when your signature isn't big enough to show everything you put in it?

But I guess it doesn't matter since you're (probably) using Shift+↓.

The Scratch 2 project recorder was added into Scratch because it was quite easy for the Scratch Team to add in because I believe recording is one of the built in functions of Flash, while it's harder to do in HTML5/JS and the ST didn't have the time to add a project recorder into Scratch 3. I think the method you're doing for making a GIF is fine if it's only 16 frames, but if you want to record a Scratch project for considerably longer, I'd suggest a screen recorder such as OBS.

Yes OBS is a very good and useful screen recorder I use it all the time for recording Minecraft!

I also suggest bandicam. But keep in mind these have watermarks. (I believe only when uploaded to YT, I haven't used bandicam in a really long time.

I think Bandicam has a 10-minute video limit for the free version.

My signature was completely outdated and a new one is under construction.

It does, but I don't think a project would go over 10 minutes.

I use Flashback Express

The free version doesn't have much editing features, but there's no time limit and no watermarks so is ideal for simply recording projects and uploading them as mp4s to YouTube, etc.

Recording includes sounds, and you can select what area of the screen to record.

I would suggest OBS over Bandicam due to the customisable features that you can put on it, the ability to record and stream directly to any streaming service of your choice and that nothing you output with have a big "www.Bandicam.com" watermark in the middle.
It's also open source as well.

If you want to, there's a feature on (removed by moderator - please don't name browser extensions) for a screen recorder but it's low quality.
