I really want a wiki account but I have a feeling it would be instantly rejected just because I'm a New Scratcher… ;-;
What's the reason behind this requirement, and could having exceptionally good request notes get around this?

Infrequently active.
It feels weird to see how far we've come. I hope you're well, wherever you are!

1) To reject vandals
2) To reject people who thought Scratch Wiki is part of Scratch and they must register it
3) To reject requests by those who don't know Scratch enough to write articles
Maybe you can make an alt and use that?

The reason is to make sure that users are reasonably experienced with Scratch and have been trusted to have the privileges associated with being a Scratcher and have themselves shown willingness to uphold the associated responsibilities. In general, we do not make exceptions to this rule (the only exceptions so far have been bots, which are all owned by accounts that met the requirements when they joined). Thanks, both of you.
@apple502j, unfortunately making an alt has been ruled out because it would technically stop my record. It may be a different account but the same person is still behind it.
I suppose I can live without editing the wiki for now, but thanks anyway.
