Hello, Scratch Community

Even though I have joined only for a few hours ago, I thought of a good way to make scratch stand out a little more, and look more unique- BANNERS! It would be a good addition to this site. I was thinking that each account can customize their banner to the way it suits them. Not only will it make accounts look fresh and interesting. It will also help make all accounts different and special.

Where would the banner appear?

If I was in charge I would place the logo and the banner at the top of the profile page, just like how YouTube and Twitch do it. And then you could add your image in the banner.

Will others have to create the banner themselves, or will there be a Scratch editor that allows you to create your own banner from the website itself?

Perhaps the banner could also show on project pages?

I think it could be upload only at the very least, like how profile pictures are done currently.

I agree with Sheep_maker on that. It would probably have to be upload only.

Support, but the ST will have to revamp the entire profile page to add a banner adding system along with profile pictures at the top.

Support. I could see how this would work with a revamp of the profile page to the current Scratch 3 design. Since a lot of the Scratch 3 styled webpages have a banner at the top to show some sort of graphic or to contain a title, such as messages or ideas, they could add a banner at the top of the profile page, and then allow people to be able to add an image to that banner for personalisation, like what you've stated.

Support. It opens up the opportunity for more creativity on the customization of your profile.

We already have Profile Banners, they're called the Scratch Team.

You are currently not constructive because your not saying anything constructive about the topic.

Anyway I support this because in a certain browser extension there’s a feature for profile banners made from their featured projects and it looks amazing

*i just wanted to say when i unshare the project while the projects in there it disappears i fully support this topic so much*

Support, but only if you can use images only from approved image hosting sites (like how the forums work) - I think it would be a nice little thing to personalize.
