If I may weigh in on the whole currencies thing (I don't have muc experience with them as I haven't been around for a while), I strongly recommend that the USS stay well away from them. They overcomplicate matters quite a bit and are likely to be abused and misused. Any further questions regarding my views on the matter please ask me!

Sincerely,

Hi! As the owner of the biggest currency, we have only had 1 ‘scandal’ of the currency in the 5 months it has been open. The name ‘currency’ is also misleading. Some shops have been using it for their entire shop, e.g.
Banners: 10 SSB
Logos: 8 SSB
When we were intending SSB to be used as a rewards program, e.g.
Honourary Role for a week: 20 SSB
Shoutout for a day: 10 SSB
No Credit Needed: 20 SSB
I hope that answers some questions. Also, for the complicated part, the person who runs the thread does most of the things. I watch shops to see if they take any orders, I watch shops to see if they get any ShopBux orders. The shop doesn't have to do much.

I'm pretty sure you can't transfer votes.

I suppose my problem with them is they are unnecessary. They don't add anything to the forums and they don't simplify the ordering from shops process. If anyone can justify to me how they benefit anyone in any way, I will happily back down, but I no-one has given a particularly convincing argument yet.

I kind of disagree of what you're saying. I do support currency but, there are not in my shop because, people abuse them. And you litterly said, “stay well away from them.” and like me I'm in a currency (not ShopBux, ScratchBux). And every currency owner/worker/supporter will probably not use USS anymore because, what you said. Just in my opinion only ShopBux is over complicated because ScratchBux (not advertising) was just a few types then join! ShopBux is reading 10 paragraphs to find a codeword and dealing with read around 5-10 pages a day!

By the way I bolded your misspelled words. (what is muc?)

Do you mean, like 10 sentences?

I looked at your LAWS and info and there are 9 sections so I have no idea what you mean by 10 sentences.

Muc=much and overcomplicate is spelt correctly.
You're argument seems to be that if we don't embrace currencies shops using them won't want to join. Firstly, you haven't answered my question: What is their use and how do they improve the requests forum? And secondly, it's a bit of a stawman- I'm not arguing about whether they'd attract more members because I have no doubt they probably would. I'm arguing that they don't seem to have a use. After all the requests forum has been running perfectly for about 6 years now with no currencies and only now am I noticing a decline in its use. I'm not saying this is caused by currencies but there certainly seems to be a correlation.

Sincerely,
Monkeytrooper

I hate arguing! Also on my iPad's auto correct says it's over complicated. Remember I'm American. Answer to your question: You know mall simulators. Currencies are like them, they bring fun and joy! But, people are taking them too seriously the past month or so. Ex. You have to join this currency to be a worker or order here. That's why I don't put them in my shop. But I do work in a simple currency.

You sad to find the codeword. That's where the codeword is.
EDIT: Also, 5-10 pages a day, huh? We only have 1-2 pages now, so you have no reason to abandon SSB.

Most days it’s less than a page these days.

Hello! I would like to be an archivist. I think I would be good for the role because I am very active, have a fair amount of experience on the forums, and am okay with spending a long time scrolling through pages.

I abide by this oath:
I promise to remain active and to complete tasks assigned to me within the given date. If I can no longer complete my tasks for any reason, I will inform USS leaders.
