I think that there should be an alert (comment-style) when a forum thread that we're following is closed or deleted by the Scratch Team.

Attention! Please check your sources! Necroposting is posting on a topic after a while if it is not relevant anymore, or if the user's post is not constructive. So andrewsh88 was not necroposting. That's why it's hard to necropost in the Suggestions forum except in really, really old topics.

Well, alerts aren't ALWAYS made to tell a user that they did something against the CG. In fact, the message that tells you that you can become a Scratcher is considered an alert. It's just a way that the Scratch Team can talk to a user privately.

No support, this would be kind of pointless because you wouldn't be getting anymore notifications after the topic is closed or deleted. I would only semi-support this topic if you would get alerted if a closed topic reopened.
