How do i transfer a scratch project picture into my profile pic? I did it once but i forgot do I “save to local file”?

Download the project's thumbnail and then upload it as user icon.

To answer your question, the thumbnail of a project is the exact screenshot of the stage when the project was last saved. So if you want something to be on the thumbnail, make sure it's showing, and then click “Save”.
