Downwell:
Available on Steam and for mobile devices
$3 price tag, but it's on sale today for $1.01 on Steam
Downwell is a game where you just down a well. There are a whopping 4 colors in the game. Black, white, red, and blue (the last of which you only get to see in one world), yet it's all the game needs. There are also a total of 3 buttons you need. Moving left, moving right, and jumping (of if you're in the air, shooting your gunboots).
You play as a little dude, armed with a pair of gunboots, and have to jump down a well. It's a roguelike, so the well is different each time, and there are 4 worlds with 3 levels until there's a final boss at the end. Black represents nothing, white is what you can land/jump on, red is evil unless it's gems, and blue is your air refiller in the 3rd world. When you're falling at lightning speed, you need to recognize what's bad and what's good quickly, and the color scheme does so. You don't want to be falling at lightning speed all the time though, hence why you have your gunboots. They slow down your fall and landing on the ground or an enemy's head refills them.
There are little bubbles (known as timevoids) on the side as you fall that will stop time, keep your combo, and gives you a little something extra. Could be a weapon changer that will also refill a little bit of your health or give you more ammo, a gem stash, or even a shop. Along with them, after each level you get to choose one of 3 upgrades (unless you play as one of the unlockable game styles where you only get 2 options or none at all).
The game's all about combos, it's like a form of dance jumping from enemy to enemy. If you get a combo of 8, you get gems. At 15, you get gems and more ammo, and at 25 you get both and some health. The game's pretty hard though, I haven't even beaten the 2nd world yet.
As you play and die and play some more, you'll unlock things as you collect gems. These range from different gameplay styles to color palettes (some cool looking and functional, some not so much). It gives you a sense of progression while keeping the permadeath that a roguelike always has.
It's fun, check it out

hmmm it would appear i haven't actually done a Smash Ultimate review
Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Platform: Switch
Price: $59.99
ESRB Rating: E10+ (Cartoon Violence, Comic Mischief, Suggestive Themes)
I'm not gonna do this in my standard format, as there's a lot to unpack, so I'm gonna do this mode-by-mode
Smash: The flagship mode of the franchise, and I'd say this is the best it's ever been. The gameplay is much faster than 4's and it's way more fun. With over 100 stages and 70 characters (plus more to come) there is so much variety that I don't know if it'll ever get repetitive. One thing is I think it's fine up to 5 players, but when you have 6-8 then it gets too hectic for my liking, but this isn't really the game's fault. I don't really know what else to say except this is traditional Smash bros. gameplay, just way more refined.
Online: Just Smash online. There have been a lot of people complaining about how bad it is but I personally haven't had many problems other than occasional hiccups and occasional matches where it wasn't my specific ruleset, but only once has it actually changed my game mode, and that was from Smash to Team Battle, so not even a super dramatic change.
Classic Mode: This is the best Classic mode that has ever been in a Smash game. When compared to the dumpster fire disappointment that was Smash 4 Wii U's classic mode (I didn't really play 3DS's sue me) this is a dramatic improvement. It's a complete rehaul of Classic Modes past, where instead of being randomized, every character has their own Classic mode, all centering around a theme. For instance, King Dedede's is him fighting royalty, Pirhanna plant's is fighting characters new to Ultimate, and Bowser's is him fighting red characters. This new classic mode is great, and a welcome improvement.
World of Light: Unlike many others, I didn't go into this expecting another subspace emissary, and I liked this. In fact I think it represents Smash Bros. better than Subspace did. I'm not saying it's better than Subspace, as that's like comparing Apples and Oranges, I just think that battles across a map that all have their own theme is more fitting to Smash Bros than a platforming game with generic enemies. But of course, people don't like Subspace because of the gameplay, they like it because of the story, and this is pretty much the opposite. There really isn't a story, but the gameplay is fun. Some of the spirits are really clever, and the campaign is fairly long too. Most have said it took them 20 hours, and that's without completing it.
Spirit Board: It's world of light without the map/cutscenes
VERDICT: I recently watched a review for a game, where the reviewer said that they believed a 10/10 belonged to a game if the reviewer thought nothing should be changed. The game may not be perfect, but if nothing should be changed, it's a 10/10, and I think that's a good philosophy, as I don't think anything should be changed in Smash. The gameplay is perfectly balanced, there is so much to do that it's almost overwhelming at first, and everything just feels right. So in conclusion if you own a Switch and do not own this game, what are you waiting for?

I just got a humble bundle so expect reviews of a couple of the games including this one
Game: Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!
Developer: Vertigo Gaming Inc.
Publisher: Vertigo Gaming Inc.
Platforms: PC, Mac, PS4 (Reviewed on PC)
Price: $12.99
ESRB Rating: E10+ (Mild Language, Mild Violence, Use of Alcohol)
Story: After the corporation behind the restaurant of Cook Serve Delicious is shut down by the authorities due to embezzlement, Cook Serve Delicious is no more. However you, a young chef, take it upon yourself to rebuild the restaurant from the ground up, and restore it to the glory it once had.
Graphics: The graphics are beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. The food artwork is stunning, and I applaud the person who did the art for this game. The art is so vastly improved from the first game that it isn't even really funny. The first game had good food art, but I feel like I've been spoiled after playing this. All the animations for when you are preparing the food are great and so much more fluid than the first game. Many people have said that the first is better, but if there is anything that cannot be disputed that the second did better, it's the art.
Sound: The music is very good. Ramping up during rush hours and calming down during the slower hours. It's not really anything super memorable, but it's nice for when you are playing it. No Crazy Bus main theme here. The sound design is great. It's incredibly satisfying to put something on the grill and hear it sizzle, or to dunk something in the deep fryer and hear that crackling. The customers voices aren't a major part of this game or anything, I just wanted to point out that it's kind of funny when you get their order wrong and they start grunting angrily. It's the little things.
Gameplay: In this game you have specific keys you need to press for specific actions. That's it. It feels kind of like a typing game to help you memorize where all the keys are. It's simply to learn but inanely hard to master, not to mention super addicting. There are holding stations where you can hold certain dishes, or side dishes that will bring in a little extra cash, but aren't necessary, and there are rush hours, where you always have people ordering food. It gets stressful, but if you can manage to prepare the food fast enough, you can earn a ton of money. There are chef for hire restaurants, where you can do levels at other restaurants for a change of pace, to familiarize yourself with other foods, or if you just want to get a little extra cash. Unfortunately, I never found myself doing these. They seem pretty pointless in the long run. I did a couple of them but never felt incentivized to do more, as all you got were things to decorate your restaurant, which leads me into my next complaint. Decorating your restaurant is kind of cool, but there isn't really a point. I barely found myself doing it, but it's not necessarily a bad thing, if it wasn't annoying. If you misplace something, you can just undo it, but if you misplace multiple things, you have to get out of that type of item menu, get out of the placing menu, get into the edit menu, find the menu for the thing you want to delete because there's no eraser for some reason, delete it, and then go all the way back to the placement menu. It's super aggravating and there's no reason for it to be this way.
TL;DR While there are some design flaws, and some pointless features, the core gameplay is incredibly addicting and loads of fun. The graphics and sound are great, and for it's modest price point, I'd say it's a steal.
P.S. I didn't play it with a controller because that just doesn't seem natural, so I can't vouch for the quality of the PS4 version or the upcoming Switch version.

Apex Legends
People keep saying this games gonna “keeel fortain” but I remember when people said that about blackout and uhh, well. . . that didn't turn out to be true. I played around 20 matches and won my first game. First of all, I don't think the game is gonna kill fortnite. Fortnite Season 7 is coming to a close and almost everyone is Tier 100 and probably burnt out. Apex correctly timed its release so Fortnite players can start and not have to worry about BP challenges. My view is that once Season 8 rolls out, Apex is gonna slowly go down in player count. People will go back to Fortnite because they're not burnt out of the game after playing another one. As of Fortnite Update 7.40, many issues and suggestions for the game were implemented, such as material cap and shields from kills. Second of all, Apex payed many popular Fortnite streamers to play their game to get their fans on the Apex train which contributed a bit to the games popularity. But enough of that, on to the review.
Things I like:
The weapons are quite fun to play around with.
Winning is easy.
Classes are fun (I only ever play Lifeline or Wraith though.)
Ultimate abilities
Knockdown shields are cool
No fall damage (TSM_Myth would love this feature in Fortnite)
Things I DON'T like:
Lootboxes
Only one mode
Jumpmaster (this is the worst mechanic ever to be in a BR ever)
Forced Trios
EA
VERDICT: It's ok. 7.5/10

I know I've got a few games I've promised to review already that I still haven't months later (ooft), but I'm gonna give Oh…Sir! The Insult Simulator a review as soon as I can. Also, while it's an app and not a game, I'll probably post a review of Yellofier after I've tried it out.
Things I DON'T like:Holla. I know they only published the game, but I'm surprised that people are willing to latch onto it so quickly despite their history.

King of the Hat first impressions
I really like this game because i changed my profile pic to one of the characters. It's free on discord for a limited time, so get it while you can. I'm probably still gonna but it on Switch when it comes out just for convenience sake, but yeah. This game is great.

Child Of Light
Developer- Ubisoft Montreal
Platform(That I'll be reviewing)- Xbox One
Price- About $25
Story- The story is portrayed through stained glass windows, a narrator's voice, and character interaction. The story itself is that your character, Aurora, is trying to find the Sun, Moon, and Stars in the mystical land of Lemuria. Along the way, you meet a varied cast of characters, such as Rubella and Nora, most with their own story-line. I would say the story is put together really well, with good pacing.
Art- The art of this game is BEAUTIFUL. The models are well made, as well as the backgrounds and character busts. I am sad, however, on how little animation there is for some characters.
Gameplay- The gameplay is fairly simple, but combat is where it really shines. Depending on where you collided with an enemy, you would get either a ambush or a surprise attack. If you're ambushed, the enemies are farther along the line, and unless you use your firefly friend to delay them, they will attack first. The firefly, also, can heal people on your team. Other then that- there's interruption, buffs and debuffs, and so on and so forth.
Music- The music. The music is created by Couer De Pirate, and is as lovely as the art. I recommend the soundtrack to anyone who likes waltz-like music. ‘Off To Sleep,’ the credits theme, is really good as well, with it's sad vibe.
Lasting Effect- The music and art is something to remember, and when you finished the first time, you can try to be a completionist and take a go at New Game + or/and Expert mode. New Game + keeps your skill tree and occuli you have collected over your journey, but not your level.
Rating- 97/100
It's also on PC, Switch, Playstation 3 and 4, Xbox 360, and a lot more.

All right here's a review I guess
Game: Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament
System: GBA
Story: Welcome to… uh I dunno! In this strange land we find a competition happening! Looks like Garlen's at it again!
The story starts with Klonoa just kinda chilling when he finds a letter inviting him to a “Dream Champ Tournament” (roll credits) being held by someone called Garlen to see who's the best. And then suddenly he's teleported to where it's happening. Makes sense, I suppose. Anyway, you set about competing in the tournament, but wHOOPS turns out Garlen's evil, who could have seen that coming, and he's turning everyone in the tournament into gears for his mechanical empire. Huh. So anyway, now you need to become the champion and take down Garlen.
Gameplay:
This is a 2D puzzle platformer, where the main gimmick is that Klonoa can pick up enemies and either throw them to the side or throw them downwards as a double jump. There are your basic enemies that don't do anything special, enemies that explode after a while, enemies that, when they hit another enemy, “absorb” it and fly back to you, and ones that give you a super rocket jump as a double jump. There are some other elements too (boxes, grappling things etc.). The puzzles in the game can get quite difficult in the later sections of the game, and there were definitely times when I had no idea what to do, stopped playing, and then realised “oH THAT'S WHAT TO DO”. There are also autoscrolling levels where the challenge is more about keeping yourself alive instead of solving puzzles, and these pseudo-3D boarding sections which are to be honest really annoying.
There are three major collectables in each level: Moon Stones, which you need 3 of to open the door at the end of the level, Dreamstones which there are 30 or 50 of per level (50 in boarding levels, 30 in others) which give you parts of pictures for each world, and Sun Stones which unlock bonus levels in the postgame. For the most part, Sun Stones are locked behind a tricky puzzle, and Dreamstones are either just placed on the path or hidden in boxes. Generally they're fine, except for the boarding levels since the hitboxes are a bit wonky.
I will say that the game is a bit on the short side: there are a total of 50 levels (including extras), which sounds like a lot, but most can be completed in 15 minutes, tops. It's still a fun ride while it lasts, though.
Presentation:
The game looks and sounds great, for the most part. The environments are nice, the animation is nice, and the enemies even have world-specific variants (like you'll get pirates in the ocean world, conductors on the train world etc.) The music is all pretty good, and the sound effects are good, but I will say that Klonoa's “wahoo” voice clip when you double jump sounds really wrong compared to the PS1 game.
Conclusion:
Dream Champ Tournament is a solid entry in the Klonoa series. If you're a fan of puzzle platformers, you should definitely check this one out: especially since the puzzles are just about the hardest ones in the Klonoa series. Unfortunately, the boarding and autoscrolling levels could very well turn you away from the game. Thankfully they're optional, but not if you want to play the extras.
Final score: 8/10 (Very good)

Here's a review for you
Game: Rocksmith 2014 Edition
Developer: Ubisoft SF
Publisher: Ubisoft
Platforms: PS3, PS4, Xbox360, XboxOne, Mac, PC (Reviewed on PS4)
ESRB: T (Mild Fantasy Violence, Mild Lyrics)
Price: $39.99 ($59.99 With the “Real Tone Cable”)
This review won't be structured the exact same way as my other ones, as it's more a learning software than a traditional game.
Gameplay: The game is essentially Guitar Hero but with a real guitar, and honestly, I think it's fun whether you're playing it to actually get better at guitar, or if you're just playing it as a rhythm game. There are a few different modes: Learn a song, Session mode, Lessons, Tone Designer, and Guitarcade. I'll go through each of them.
Learn a song: This is the mode you'll probably spend the most time in. The way Rocksmith works is by showing only a couple notes of a song at first, and getting harder as you progress. It's very fun, but Rocksmith's biggest downside is it doesn't always have great note detection. For instance, I have played the song “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters around 15 times, and still don't even have half the notes showing for me, just because the game refuses to register my chords. The game is also infamously bad at detecting bends, so you really have to try hard to get them to register. The song list in this game is great, miles ahead of the first Rocksmith. Anything from pop songs like “Every Breath You Take” to alt-rock like “Paranoid Android” to metal like “The Trooper” No matter what kind of music you like, there's bound to be at least one song you enjoy.
Session Mode: There really isn't much to say about this, and I haven't really spent that much time here. It's basically just a mode where you can improvise on guitar, and have a band playing in the background with you. Not much more than that. It's good, but more for when you're more experienced with guitar I guess.
Tone Designer: You design tones. That's it.
Lessons: This is where Rocksmith will teach you different techniques, such as chords, bends, tremolo, etc. The biggest flaw is that it can't really tell you if you're doing it correctly, and it never goes too in-depth as to how to do these things.
Guitarcade: There are two different modes in guitarcade, score attack, and guitarcade games. First, score attack. In score attack, you choose any song and pick easy, medium, or hard. It's basically like how guitar hero works, and you try to go for a high score. The Guitarcade games, however, would be fun… If most of them worked. So many of the games have awful note detection, but would be super fun practice games otherwise. Of course, this could be a problem with my PS4, or with my guitar, but I've seen other people have these problems. The game “Scale Racer”, for instance, would be a great way to practice scales, but it doesn't always register the notes.
Graphics: The game's entire visual style is vastly improved from Rocksmith 1. You can very clearly tell if a note is a standard note, a bend, a slide, etc. Even the menus look way better. The guitarcade games, while mostly non-functional, all have fun 90's arcade-esque styles.
Learning value: Since this is an educational software, I need to say, will it actually help you learn guitar? The answer is yes, and no. While I can definitely tell that after a few weeks of training, I have definitely tell I have improved, it won't teach you essential things such as music theory or ear training. It also can't teach you everything, so it's best used as a supplement for something else. Many people have recommended justinguitar.com (Which is completely free, btw), or just in person lessons. So while it's a great practice tool, it may not necessarily help you LEARN guitar.
Tl;Dr: Some really fun modes, but with wonky note detection. And while it may not help you learn guitar, it's a great supplement to online or in-person lessons.
FINAL SCORE: 7.5/10
Also, the real tone cable is a usb to connect an electric guitar to a computer/Playstation/Xbox. You can use a microphone, especially if you only have an acoustic guitar.

Game: Jerrys return 2
Developer: xkadenx
Producer: xkadenx
Engine: scratch 2.0/3.0
Story: meh
Genre: hunted pizzeria survival horror (basically fnaf)
Ok so jr2 (jerrys return 2) in a fan game of the game series fnaf because of that it's simple but challenging and fun. You have 2 main ways of defending yourself 1 the door you's this if robots are at cam 5 and the mask (not that it helps much) over all there's more I can say so I may do a bigger review soon 7.4/10

Slime Rancher Review:
It's an open-world game about building your own farm, exploring the world around you, and vacuuming up different Slimes. There's no involved plot, just play how you want to; it's your ranch after all. The presentation is simple-yet-effective with cell-shaded environments and colors that pop even in the lowest settings. The different Slimes you encounter are just so darn cute and have their own unique quirks. If you want a laid-back game with a big world to explore and a fun sandbox to boot, this game's for you.
I have the PC version and the mouse and keyboard controls work really well.
Recommendation Level: Very High

I like to do reviews in Pros and Cons. Therefore I don't exaggerate with anything, and planning is easy.
Super Mario Party
Pros: Great gameplay mechanics, like mutiple dice, allies and item organizations. Good minigames. Nice to go back to Mario Party 1 format. Thwomp board is cool. Snapparazi.
Cons: Only 4 boards, one which is unlockable and one which isn't fun. No 50 turns mode. Nothing really sticks. Extra modes I won't ever use. Horrible menu control. Puke-in-Weet-Bix online mode. No updates when the game really needed it. No playable Toadette.
Rating; 4/10.

Sonic Adventure 2 review:
Pros:
The Sonic, Dr. Eggman, and Shadow levels
The soundtrack is good
Knuckles has two good levels: Wild Canyon and Aquatic Mine
Tails has two good levels: Prison Lane and Hidden Base
Rouge has one good level: Dry Lagoon
Replay Value
The Chao are adorable!
Cons:
Very few Sonic and Shadow levels.
The rest of Tails, Rouge, and Knuckles' levels
The entire Final Story
Clunky Controls (maybe because I was using a keyboard)
Underwhelming plot
The radar in Treasure Hunting stages
Tails and Dr. Eggman's mechs have awful controls
Some of the worst levels I've ever played: Security Hall, Pumpkin Hill, Eternal Engine, Mad Space, Meteor Herd, and more.
Conclusion: Some of the best and worst of the Sonic series. Too many frustrating stages for my liking.
