My Blocks in the Backpack
Hi Scratch Team,
Could you make My Blocks ‘allowed’ in the Backpack? I have multiple projects that are just components that I want others to use, in one of my studios. But, My Block definitions and sprites with My Blocks in them cannot be dragged into the backpack to be used elsewhere. So, nobody can use these scripts without remixing the project, and I want people to be able to use the My Blocks in a project they already have. This might be an error, or you might have chosen not to let people use each others' My Blocks. Either way, please enable us to put My Block definitions, and sprites with My Blocks, into the Backpack.
Thank you,
@Everett6

My Blocks in the Backpack
Is this truly not possible? I have scripts in my backpack that use “My Blocks”. I'm not sure what the problem is.

My Blocks in the Backpack
When I try to put a My Block definition into the backpack, it does not turn blue and let me add it, like it would for other, plain blocks. And when I try to add a sprite with My Blocks, it lets me put it in, but then says “Error Loading Backpack”. And when I open the Backpack later, the sprite is not there. (And thanks for responding so quickly.) As for your My Blocks, could they be from 2.0, or maybe an ‘administrative exception’?

Well, they couldn't be from 2.0. Everyone's backpack contents were deleted during the transition from 2.0 to 3.0, so I had to re-add the blocks. I just tried it right now with some newly-made blocks, and I was able to put them into my backpack.
It wouldn't be an “administrative exception”, either. I'm not quite sure what you mean by this, but I'm a Scratcher just like you (that is, I'm not on the Scratch Team), so it wouldn't make sense for the Scratch Team to give me special privileges like this.
