UPDATES ON SCRATCH
Recently, scratch just added a new extension! The Vernier Force & Acceleration Sensor extension. This is a good extension, it's kind of bad (mostly because people do not have these). And another language for the extensions, introducing… Hindi! They also added it for text-speech. they also fixed a LOT of bugs.

Griffpatch 100K Follower Movement Slow

As of April 24, 2019, @griffpatch has been the most followed Scratcher. Recently, users have noticed that Griffpatch is slowly reaching 100K followers. This has led to widespread encouragement across the Scratch community such as the hashtag #GetGriffpatchTo100K. However, follower increase has been slow. In 2 days, Griffpatch had gained only 300 followers, which is slow compared to normal. Scratch Observer Epic_TV reports to say that users are eager to be the 100,000th follower. While it may be fun if you were the 100K follower, it will almost surely cause a unpredictable amount of controversy, rumors, and backlash from the community. We'll give out more information on this as it comes.

Reviews of chatrooms
Chat rooms are everywhere these days, but with so many around, which one do you choose? This is Pixelbear_London and for this issue I am reviewing chatrooms on scratch.

1. CatChat: Scratch edition, by MikeDEV
Score: 5 / 10

This is because, although the art is nice, and it is Community guideline friendly, the problems with connections, these could be better. Other people in-game flicker in and out of existence. The lag is ok? at best, and unbearable at worst. This is going somewhere, but it also still feels a bit experimental.

2. Cloud Firefly test v0.4, by griffpatch_tutor
Score: 7 / 10
Even though this a project done by griffpatch, the execution is good. There is lots of space for the characters, many people can be online and there is no lag, as it it in pen. The characters (fireflies) could do more though, and there is few people online. Overall, good but still have to see where this one goes.

Conclusion:

The chatrooms today are still not great but you could still have some fun with other people on these chatrooms.
