Which Scratch Version are you talking about? There was never an end block, you must have confused it with “end” in scratchblocks.

That block is still in Scratch 3.0 (and Scratch 2.0) – it's just that now you have to click on the dropdown menu to get it. So drag out this block…

…then click on the “all” text and pick “this script” from the menu:

I do have Scratch 1.4 but I can't see “end” anywhere.
