Thanks guys
Maybe a button that suggest it to be featured then? Therefore making the process of suggesting a game for featured is much quicker and also represents how many people want it to be featured showing its popularity.
What do you think?

I think this would be a much better idea as instead of suggesting projects for featuring in a studio, there would a rate of how many people would think if a project deserves to be featured, although there may be a downside to this as certain popularity groups would rise in featured sections and that's pretty much all we would see Example: Sonic Fans, MLP Fans, etc.

That's basically the same as the top loved section.

Just suggest it on the topic.

ok good idea, but no support. Thousands of featured project a day would just defeat the point. Perhaps depending on the the most amount of buttons the project will get featured, but that just defeats the point of the feature rules and recommending games. Anyway, their are much better things to do to scratch such as my copying and pasting thread at http://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/41980/?page=1

so im sorry but no support

this is much more reasonable, but the scratch team won't be able to cope with so much. perhaps once a week or even month?

This would just defeat the purpose of featuring.

What good would the existence of the “featured” section do if this feature was added in? It's for the best examples of the Scratch community only. No support!

Hay guys,

I think that on a project their should be a GOLDEN button on every project which means if you push it the project gets FEATURED strait away for one day. I also think that you should only be aloud to push the golden button once every day.

Ethsim2
-1.Btw it is spelled straight not strait. From dictionary:1 (also straits) a narrow passage of water connecting two seas or two large areas of water: : the Strait of Gibraltar.

I'm sorry, but I think if this were to take affect, the “Featured” section would be spammed by thousands of projects being featured. This is what “Love-It's” and “Favorite's” are for. I'm sorry, but I don't see this working out. The affect it would have may lead the Scratch Team to either remove the special button or completely shut down the ‘Featured" section.

I’m not going to support/not support it, I'll just sit on the side-lines and see how this plays out for you

Good Luck with your idea~

I would not really like this to happen as it would ensue chaos. If you want to get your project featured just ask someone to apply for you. Anyway featured projects have to meet some requirements, so if the ‘golden’ button was applied then projects with the wrong criteria would be on the front page.Ok here is a scenario:
Golden button added to scratch. Front page is spam me constantly. One day someone features a project that should be marked as NFE but is not.On the same day some parents decides to check out the ‘scratch’ that their kid has been nagging them for and decide whether or not to allow them to use it.They go on scratch, on the front page is the NFE project with blood, gore and scary things for kids. They become in shock and ban their child from scratch and publish articles on the incident.
See….

This would spam up the frontpage and inappropriate projects could be featured easily. In this regard, I don't support.
Also, I think that a button for proposing a project to be featured isn't a good idea either. It is a lot easier to click this button on every project you can find than answering to a public forum topic.
However, such a button would make it a lot easier to check whether a project meets the requirements.

dude this would totally de-value featuring. If everyone feautured a project every day, it would becaome like the “projects loved by scratchers you're following” section

People create fake emails. There are ways to get around any method of verifying that users are the same person.
