Scratch Mobile App Concept!
I spent way too much time on this XD
Because of more and more projects becoming “mobile friendly” I looked up Scratch on the app store. Sadly, the only Scratch was a rip off that costed 2 dollars. If mobile projects are going to exist, why not an app? Here is my idea on how it would work.
Here is an idea on the icon:
If anyone else has an idea for it, just show it
When you open the app, it looks a lot like the site. Except if you do not have internet, opening projects gives you an error. But you can edit your own projects just like the scratch Offline Editor
The editor is the same, just designed to fit the device. everything is a lot similar.
im still working on this

I think we could just use an offline editor for tablets, and that's it. Just an app for an offline editor.
The Scratch Team is trying to optimize the Scratch 3.0 website for tablets, so if you have an Internet connection, I don't see why one would need to use a separate app for the website when the actual website could work just fine.

Well, then again, what if you want to use it in the go? After all, they are mobile devices, and people might not have data to use the website. So, support for an offline editor, semi-support for a full website app. I think we could just use an offline editor for tablets, and that's it. Just an app for an offline editor.

If you're seeing this signature, that means I've come out of my social anxiety hole.
Also, I edit the Scratch Wiki. Check it out sometime it's cool I guess.

A Scratch app, like the OP says, would have offline capabilities as well. Currently mobile devices don't have any sort of offline editor, and some mobile devices may not have cellular data access, so an offline editor would be useful.

I'm aware of that. What I'm saying is that we don't need a two words. offline editorwebsite on an app. An offline editor, of course, would be great.

Perhaps an app could offer additional functionality that neither website nor offline editor could offer, such as downloading online projects so that you can play them even without an Internet connection. Also, mobile apps often work better than mobile websites, and may provide more control over the UI than a website would allow (though I'm not sure, since I don't know much about web or app development).

I give support for an Android offline editor, but not for an IOS version. Quoting a Scratch Wiki Article
If the ST could work things out with Apple, maybe a IOS app could be possible.
From The Scratch Wiki
The Scratch Viewer was the first application created to play Scratch projects on mobile devices, specifically Apple's iOS. It was made by John McIntosh of Smalltalk Consulting Ltd, a Canadian Programmer who had before had had no affiliation with the MIT Media Lab. However, in April 2010 the application was removed from iTunes (Apple's app store) by Apple because it violates Section 3.3.1 of the company’s policy against applications that interpret or execute code.

That is because it isn’t as complicated as Scratch, and I just read their terms of service. They’ve reworded it, but it’s the same.

However Scratch itself isn't exactly a full programming language, it's restricted enough that you couldn't cause harm with it. An official app made by the Scratch team would also be a lot more trustworthy. That Scratch team have also talked about a 3.0 app before, I assume they wouldn't do that if it wasn't possible.Scratch Wiki ArticleKeep in mind that, that was 9 years ago. Searching the app store I can also find lots of apps that let you program.

They also have their own Shortcuts app, which can run Javascript and is Turing complete: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shortcuts/id915249334?mt=8
I don't think Scratch would have issues getting approval.

I think that Scratch really only needs an offline editor for mobile - there doesn't need a be an app that loads the site.
Judging by this suggestion, this Scratch app would basically just be a locked down web browser, so if you're going to install something like that, you might as well try to install a different browser to see if the Scratch website works better on that browser
Have you tried using a different web browser?I think we could just use an offline editor for tablets, and that's it. Just an app for an offline editor.

Maybe you want to go on a road trip and you cannot afford cell data? (I can) Or maybe, you can download projects and when you have wi-fi, it will automatically sync… now THAT would be cool!
