Need an Explanation for a Code

Hey Guys,

I have a problem. I develop for school the Game “Jetpack Joyride”. I know normally how to develop it, but there is one thing, that i do not know, how to develop the background. So i had the idea to look it up in the Internet. There i founded a soloution. For school we have to explain our codes. My problem now is that i do not know, hot to explain teh code for the background. So i hope, that someon from the community can help me to explain it in detail. Thank You!

Ich hoffe also, dass mir jemand aus der Community helfen kann, es ausführlich zu erklären. Danke dir!

Looks like a finished project. I'm not seeing any issues with the background.

Oh, you mean like explain it.

Pretty much its a sprite is created at the beginning, starts at the left of the screen, and when the game starts it changes its costume and moves across the screen at the same rate of speed the character is moving, through a variable that is set on how fast the character is moving. There can be more then 1 sprite moving in the background to ensure fluidity of the background using clone, but more complex code will be present if the background were to change itself like going to a new area. Lots of communication would have to take place, and could take many, many tries.

Thank you very much! Could you maybe please explain it more in detail, because that is for our teacher too short?

What do you mean with it?

Just a recommendation, i'm not trying to be mean or anything, but maybe you should do it yourself. Then you learn more from it, and get better!

ok listen:

Your Sprite, that you call background moves across the screnn and sort of “prints” the Background. Whenever you manage to accomplish a new zone, you start a sequence of actions, which lead to the sprite changing its costume. The main idea behind the background-sprite stays the same.

Great immitation of Jetpack Joyride btw.
