Volume blocks are broken in 3.0 - sounds start too loud and end too quiet

Ever since 3.0 was released, I've noticed some serious bugs in my project “8-Bit Music Maker” that weren't present in 2.0. The project in question can be found here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/87829696/

In 3.0, I noticed many things were broken, most notably the note sounds themselves. This project relies heavily on the volume blocks - it contains 112 short sound samples for the notes, and initially these sounds were very loud, so I used the volume blocks to lower them significantly to a more acceptable level. This worked without issue before, but in 3.0, they sound very wrong. If you try to play a song in that project now, you'll notice that each note is extremely loud for a fraction of a second, then almost instantly it decays into nothing. The notes are audible for only a fraction of the time they're supposed to be, making all music made with it practically unlistenable.

I thought maybe it was a problem with the sounds themselves, but at 100% volume they sound completely normal, so I don't know how I'm going to fix this. The only way I can think of is to make quieter sound samples, but that's 112 different sound samples I'd have to manually adjust. I would much rather have these blocks simply work the way they're supposed to.

Thank you.

I've experienced kinda this same issue. The reason for this is because the volume and sound effects only update when a sound is played. Even then, it takes some time (probably around a 30th of a second) to update those settings. Sorry your project was affected.
