Note: This is not meant to collect reports about projects failing to load due to server issues, as these are temporary issues which are typically caused by heavy use of Scratch.


Projects which were previously failing to load with an error of “Oops, something went wrong!” followed by a very long error id are in the process of being fixed. Many of these projects are already working, and those that aren't should be within the next few days. This was being caused by sounds or images which failed to properly save to our servers before the editor was closed. We have fixed projects in this state by replacing the missing images or sounds with a “?” image so the projects can load. The problem which was causing projects to get saved in this state has been fixed. We’re sorry for the loss of images and sounds that come with this, in nearly all cases it is a single image or sound within the project that has been replaced.

For some reason, when I upload a song from my computer and it's loaded into the project, the project won't save. Why does this happen?

This project is broken by the changes in list behavior. The list goes over the answer box and the text when in Scratch 2.0 it went behind it. This covers up the first part of question box though is is fixable by changing the size of the box.

A major glitch that renders the project almost unusable is that you can't see the entirety of list items. They get cut off before even the question can be displayed in a list item. This renders the list almost completely useless as you can no longer read what you previously wrote unless you export it as a text file.

I have some news about the not saving issue. I believe it has to do with editing sounds, (Or sounds over 2 mins). I edited two sounds, both over 2 mins, and now my project won't save. It may be happening for other reasons, but, at least for me, it happened when I did that.

So, I've been working on this undertale fight, MirrorSans Fight. a second one. and i've been working on it frequently, and when i try to save it, it fails horrifically. it will not save, and comes up with the “project could not be saved”. i have re-loaded it thousands of times, (not exaggerating, I counted.) and have downloaded it. i cannot open the downloaded file on this computer, so i have tried to upload it, and EVEN THAT DOS'NT WORK!!!! oof, so i was wondering if someone could hep me, and whatever i need to do, i'll be open all week days, from about 9:00 to 1:00. i really appreciate your time for whoever is reading this, and just tell me what i need to do. i'll try to get back to you, sometime, whatever it takes.

ALSO! I noticed that the Command Z Definitely dosn't work, in fact it does nothing when it comes down to costumes. it will erase almost everything but the part i want when it comes to costumes.

On https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/279543043, I saved my project, switched to my alternate account for a second, and when I got back to this project, I looked in the editor and the code was gone! At first, I thought that it deleted all the code, when I remembered that this bug was happening to some other people, so I posted this reply.

In all projects the bitmap bits of vector costumes don't show up. At all

In scratch 3 some of the objects (The main space craft and asteroids on intro screen) are not visible - and I'm unable to make them visible in the editor. Tried clearing all effects, bringing them to the front etc but they remain invisible.

Issue: Project plays, but code is not displayed in the editor. (Minor Sprite Compatability Issues as well, but those are far less important and can be worked around once code shows up again.)

From what I understand, this project loads without code displaying in the newest versions of Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. In addition, changes made to costumes do not appear in the stage.

I have tried to load the project on both macOS and Windows across Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, and in all cases, these issues persist.

My Thoughts on the Problem
My best guess for the cause of the issue is that projects which have too much code simply don't load in the editor properly. That said, I have no knowledge of how Scratch 3 works on a technical level.

I know you guys are getting a lot of pressure right now from people about Scratch being “ruined” or whatever, but I'm confident you're doing your best to fix the issues across the site. That said, I do hope this issue with the code not showing is a high priority even though the projects affected to still technically run. A coding site that doesn't let you code isn't ideal. Good luck! And despite what many people are saying about the new editor and UI, I, for one, am a huge fan of how everything is looking (minus these issues of course).

It Works Fine Just The Blocks Don't Show up in the editor, id highly appreciate a fix, (:

Today morning, 20 minutes ago, I logged in to my Scratch account. I tried some featured projects, and the 3 first worked. Then, it said, “You are using a browser that Scratch is´nt supporting” or something like that. Now, when I try games, the playing field/sreen/stage just is WHITE! But, the sound work, and I can press the start-flag/stop-sign! HELP!!!
