Is there anyway to use bar code on scratch?

Hello,
I was wondering if there was a way that you could get a piece of paper with a certain bar code on it and scan it onto scratch. This will allow you to do cool things (like what amibo does).

I know that there is a camera in scratch, but is there anyway that scratch's camera can recognize a bar code and then perform a specific command?

Thank You!

I don't think this is something that Scratch supports at this time.

This is my forum signature! On a forum post, it is okay for Scratchers to advertise in their forum signature. The signature is the stuff that shows up below the horizontal line on the post. It will show up on every post I make.

It's not something scratch supports built in, but it is possible. It could be really complicated though. When you turn the video on, the camera shows up on the stage. You could in then theory use the touching color [] ? sprite to detect the barcode. It is complicated by the fact that the video won't stay still.
