Why Is The Wiki Symbol For Having Links To External Sites On That Page a Sandcastle?

I can't show an example in pictures, because I don't have an account for image websites to add images, but here are a few examples that have the link to external sites warning on the top. https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Record_Project_Video, https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Hour_of_Code, and there are a few more that I could list, but being an impatient little cat, I wanted to get this out quickly, but anyways, I also took a photo of it and put it in a project, so here is the project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/279258479/ Thanks for reading this, and have a great day!

I think the “Hour of Code” link is wrong, but I think that the sandcastle means that you should try to be safe when browsing the internet.

I guess that makes sense a bit, but the sandcastle still doesn't really symbolize being safe? Maybe it sort of means that the sandcastle is you, and the bad words and other content could make you crumble? Sorry if that made no sense, but that's just my thoughts.

You make sense, but if there was a lock picture instead of the sandcastle one, it would be easy to understand. I understand what you mean(your thoughts of the sandcastle), but it could be a possibility of what it actually means.

Yeah, a lock symbol would be more accurate and understandable.

I think the sandcastle represents protection (Like the walls)

I've been a bit curious about this for a while now.. glad I'm not the only one.
I think it may symbolize being protected or something like that, since sandcastles usually have moats. But so does an actual castle - so why a sandcastle instead of a real castle?
I guess it may also just have been one of the first things that came to the Scratch Team's minds.
