Make IE (Internet Explorer) Compatible for Scratch 3.0!
If you are a member of the Scratch Team, Please read this suggestion below
:
Ok, Scratch Team, This may sound ridiculous, but I really think IE should be compatible for Scratch 3.0. main Reason being that many users have complained about not wanting to switch to Firefox or Chrome, because both are Hard to handle and take time to get used to. plus some users have a Windows 8 or older, so they can't get Microsoft Edge at all. I use Internet Explorer 11 which responses faster than it does on Chrome (Yes, I have tried it.) Plus IE is so much easier to understand than Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is. So I say, KEEP IE COMPATIBLE FOR SCRATCH 3.0! Thanks

No Support.
It's difficult due to many technical problems.

IE is incompatible with Scratch 3.0. Even if you use Inspect Element to get rid of the “Browser Unsupported” dialog, it doesn't work properly.

Make IE (Internet Explorer) Compatible for Scratch 3.0!
Internet Explorer is known for two things:
1. Being terribly slow.
2. Being discontinued in favor of Edge.
Internet Explorer is equally hated for not displaying pages correctly half the time, an error I got a ton which caused me to switch to Chrome.
Just use Firefox or Chrome, your post exaggerates the two browsers when they're in fact quite similar and very easy to learn.

I use firefox personally and I don't find it that hard to use. But I understand the feeling of having to switch to something new despite the older version working perfectly okay for you. I support this being added if it is possible.

No support, IE is a slow browser, it's only fast because Scratch isn't the top most updated website. Standards support on IE is pretty low too. Firefox is the best browser IMHO, and it doesn't take that long to learn. If you want integration with Google, check out Chrome.

I disagree with you for the Chrome part, Chrome is too slow, at least it's slower than IE, but maybe you're right about Firefox. I saw one of My RL Friends use it, it looked a bit complex though.

Stop using internet explorer
It is not being updated anymore and probably has a hecc ton of zero-day exploits waiting to be used
If you can't figure out how to use Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera or Vivaldi, you should go back to telling your grandchildren stories from when you were 6

Basically this. IE was ditched in favor of Edge, so using it now is it like trying to use Flash Beta 0.1 in 2018.
Use. A. Different. Browser. It's not hard.

Your friend might have had a zillion extensions added on - by default, Firefox is really simple. Powerful enough, but easy to use and not really overwhelming but maybe you're right about Firefox. I saw one of My RL Friends use it, it looked a bit complex though.

Right, okay. Let's simplify this down…
1. Internet Explorer does not support all the latest standards of HTML and JS. It is a misconception that IE doesn't support HTML5 when IE 11/12 actually does support it to an extent.
2. Internet Explorer doesn't support some SVG graphics which Scratch 3.0 uses. It is based on the blockly framework by Google which itself doesn't support IE(well actually, it did but Google dropped that in Scratch Blocks)
Read this:
And this:
3. Internet Explorer does not have good memory management. This makes it difficult for web apps like Scratch 3.0 run very slow.
4. Internet Explorer can be easily packed with viruses…

I bet your Internet Explorer Window looks like this because mine sure did when I was 7.
5. It is much, much, more work to support older, outdated browsers. Most programmers (including myself) decide to stop supporting IE as it is not really being used anymore and isn't worth the time.
6. You can download Chrome in two clicks and it really isn't that hard. If you're typing a forum post now, then you are smart enough to install Chrome, Oprea or Vivaldi.
Finally, here's how to install Chrome:
1. Know you're smarter at computers then your parents(ugh why didn't they just install chrome??)
2. Go to https://www.google.co.uk/chrome/ and click “Download Chrome”
3. Click “Accept and Install”
4. Beg your parents for the password
5. DONE!
oh and by the way:
My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 10575.22.0, Chrome 67.0.3396.26, Flash 29.0 (release 0)

Our support for sounds varies by browser and platform. On iOS, we cannot load and play multiple sounds. We do not use the web audio API because of Internet Explorer.
And this:
And for completeness, Blockly is 90% working in IE9 and we could bring that to 100% with some work. But a survey of developers last year couldn't find a single person who wanted this. That, coupled with IE9's ever declining market share means we decided not to support it.
IE10+ is fully supported.

Make IE (Internet Explorer) Compatible for Scratch 3.0!
When users don't have access to admin privileges, they can be forced to use internet explorer.
This most often happens in schools.
I feel that just as the push to flash left many schools stuck on 1.4, this will further provide them with no incentive to upgrade if internet explorer doesn't support 3.0.
