Can't upload sound

For some reason, an uploaded MP3 will always be completely cut.

For example, I uploaded a song and 00:00:00 of the song is there.

Scratch only accepts .wav format. To convert your .mp3 to .wav, I would suggest using a program called Audacity.

Does it sound like the problem described in this thread? It's been a common issue lately, unfortunately.

For some reason, Scratch does now only accept .wav files in its projects. I recommend converting your MP3 files to .wav at this website: http://media.io. I hope this reply helped you.

The MP3s you are using might have a bitrate or DRM that makes it hard for Scratch to read.

Some Scratchers say that MP3's with a bitrate of 320kbps should upload correctly. Otherwise, converting to uncompressed wav should work.

Okay, I'm loading some music into my Hadouken Cat project, but then the music file is just 00:00:00 in length, and doesn't have anything, and it isn't too long, I tried it before, help?!

It is not intentional, as thought by this scratcher, but they are right.

I just checked with @paddle2see and he says that if you upload them as .WAVs, then it works fine! Hope this helps!

Yes, WAVs work, but not MP3s, I want to upload music not sound effects.

I've been repeatiately trying to tell the Scratch Team, but they do not respond, they only respond to comments saying that you can convert them. Something fishy's going on…

This definitely has something to do with the recent editor versions. Sounds that I've uploaded before no longer upload.

Also, I'm trying to merge as many sound glitch-related topics to this one.
