Scratch 3.0

Dear Scratch Team,
I understand that Scratch is a kid friendly site and you all want young people to become familiar with coding. Yet I understand and appreciate that you want more people to use Scratch, but the people that are on here are all saying they do not like the new Scratch 3.0. I just wanted to let you know that me, and many other Scratchers, prefer the original Scratch that you've shown before us, it's easy, fun, and you really do have to think and then you are able to code on here. That's what we like and we hope you understand and listen to us, I bet you got a lot of people saying something like this, so please make at a small change.
Sincerely,
@springflight123

What do you think should change about it?

Scratch 3.0

Well, I think it should still be new, but maybe keep the project that your making on the left side still, it would probably make it easier for the scratchers, including myself, that are in scratch a little bit easier. The team should also make the size of the coding items a little bit smaller, so when your coding they don't get in the way (Though I forgot if it went smaller when you placed it). These are just suggestions, but thankyou for looking at my comment

Scratch 3.0

The Scratch Team will eventually add some sort of option to make the blocks smaller, if that is what you're suggesting. It might not happen right at the release of Scratch 3.0, but will be introduced some time after.

As for the stage being on the right:

As we tested different prototypes of Scratch 3.0, people found the interface more intuitive and understandable with the blocks palette on the left and the stage on the right (with the scripting area in the middle). Fun fact: This setup is similar to the arrangement of Scratch 1.0, the original version of Scratch.

We did a lot of testing and found that it is very common in Scratch 2.0 for users to accidentally drag the blocks into the stage when they are first getting started. In addition, the progression of “blocks” to “workspace” to “stage” is more logical / easy to understand.

For both of these reasons we tried “flipping” the stage in 3.0 and then tested it extensively and found that both the understandability as well as the issue with accidentally dragging blocks to the stage by new users were dramatically improved.
