Scratch for ChromeOS

Will there ever be a version of Scratch 2.0 for ChromeOS?

Probably not, because the ST is putting a lot of effort into making Scratch 3.0 so they might not be worried about working on Scratch 2.0.

Yeah, but maybe after Scratch 3.0 is done?

There will be a 3.0 Offline Editor releasing sometime later next year, but I'm not aware of them going to release a 2.0 Offline Editor.

There's been a 2.0 offline editor for years - did you get it mixed up with something else?

I'm pretty sure there isn't one for Chromebook though.

Well, yes, because Chrome OS isn't a standard OS, it does not support running standard applications - only offline web apps.
I think there is a fan made version of Scratch 2.0 for Chrome OS creating using the open source version of Scratch 2, but I think it's called something else because they're not allowed to use the Scratch name.
