And you do need to get a 3x3, that is where every cuber should start.

And you do need to get a 3x3, that is where every cuber should start.

Cubing doesn't make you smart, and being smart doesn't make you a cuber. Math doesn't solve cubes, rotations do. So if you really want to get into cubing, and don't have a cube, then get one. They sell cubes at dollar stores, and while they aren't great, they are better than the 14 dollar ones. If you don't have a dollar store nearby, you obviously have some way to access the internet, and the internet has plenty of virtual cubes. So get a cube if you can, and if you can't, then go online. Learning isn't hard, and the beginners methods are easy. So get out there, and start cubing!

Accepted! Thanks for joining! I'd recommend telling your parents that the 3x3 cube has quintillions of combinations (I'm not exaggerating) and that it's a challenge for everyone. I'd recommend not buying the 2x2 first because it's pretty boring, so you probably won't be as determined to level up to a 3x3. DO NOT START WITH A 4X4. I REPEAT - DO NOT START WITH A 4X4! It was really hard for me to learn and it made me want to quit. Learning that first would almost definitely make you want to quit right away. If you have to start with 4x4, I'd recommend turning the outer two layers at a time so it can work as a 2x2 and, for a 3x3, having a 2x2 block center and using the outer layers as 3x3 outer layers. Example:

I have four cubes, and I don’t remember its brand, but my cheapest cost $8.
I don’t actually use my cubes, however, for cubing. They’re just for decoration because I think they look good as decorations.
