The theories topic is quite active.

If anyone's looking for topics that don't appear on this directory, I'd recommend that you put “site:scratch.mit.edu/discuss (insert the topic you want to find)” into Google*. Threads should turn up on the first page generally so it requires little-to-no digging. If you can't find a thread for what you want to discuss, you're all clear to make your own! If you do find a thread though, do report it back here to be added so that the directory can grow bigger and better.
*I haven't tried this with any other search engines. If they have a similar function, it should be pretty much the same deal.

It's a shame that bbcode doesn't allow for adding square brackets for inserting needed words into direct quotes.
