Google Chrome Notifications

Yes, yes, I know the Scratch Messaging Extension exists, but it's design was kind of weird. So, I think there should be 2 options for notifications: The default one where you have to go on the Scratch website and then click the notification icon, OR this alternative option for Google Chrome and Chromium which will notify you on the spot when you get one. Here's a mockup I made:
Sorry if it looks kinda poorly made, but it's the best I could do. It annoys me having to visit the website to check every once in the while if I have messages. This, however, would be much better, as it would look better than the current layout of the messaging extension, and I wouldn't have to visit the website just to see if I've got messages or not. So, what do you say? Support, or Oppose?

Google has a mostly good extension. And people have already stated one by World_Languages instead of griffpatch to use.
