You can't be a Jedi knight at twelve. Please re-do that backstory

Okay. He became a jedi knight at age 25 and when 30 the empire took over. He escaped to his home planet. He still has his lightsaber but hides it in his house and when in public keeps it hidden in his robes. He rarely uses his lightsaber or force powers to prevent being identified as a jedi and caught by the empire.
