Am I the only one who seriously hates Ultimate? Sure, I'm glad that Ice Climbers and Wolf made a return, but some characters just didn't deserve to return. Looking at you, PICHU! I just wish it was more like the Smash 4 days, when there were actually a lot of newcomers. But NOOOOOOO, Sora Ltd. just has to throw my predictions out the window and return EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. No matter where I go, the game gets undeserved praise. The only way I'll like it is if they get rid of the characters that need removing (All third parties except for Snake and Sonic, Dr. Mario, Lucina, Dark Pit, Daisy, Young Link, and Pichu). Either that, or it's a spinoff and the TRUE Smash 5 comes out in 2019.

There were newcomers, but they just aren't in the form most smash fans would expect. Like, if you were an EarthBound fan, you'd be taunted with fake leaks for a Mother 3 translation almost every time Nintendo makes Nintendo Directs. That would mean that even if no new characters from EarthBound that are playable are in a new Smash, just knowing that in a few months seeing them pop up on your TV for about 5 seconds every few matches is enough to make you yell “BLARB SNOBBLE GOOBER BLAB” at everybody you know and making them watch the Smash Direct until the info on Ness and Lucas pops up if they don't understand you.
Also, we needed Lucina. Marth is one of the hardest characters to learn in Smash Bros, so we got Echo Fighters in Smash 4 (Even though we didn't know they would be called “Echo Fighters” until today) I like the idea of these Echo Fighters, maybe more could come as DLC in SSB Ultimate.

Seems like it has a different playstyle than the others

Looks like it'll be a much more fluid frantic battle, attacks will do more damage, people'll move faster, all that stuff

Overall it looks pretty darn awesome, bringing back everyone instead of making a bunch of new characters was an amazing idea

The most frustrating part of watching reactions though are people thinking “Oh what if Wolf still has the Landmaster” like no he won't they said ALL the Smash attacks will be fast and ferocious

Nintendo is actually smart by appealing to every Smash fan (but not you, apparently).

Congrats, by bringing back all the characters your favorites are guaranteed to be back, even if the ones you don't like also come with. Also, there will be new characters, the game doesn't come out for 6 months, there will be a few (and honestly most of the ones to choose from are even more obscure than the ones they brought back)

If the only reason you like Smash Bros. is because of new characters, I suggest that the game probably isn't for you, just sayin'
