I used the 4th method to get my cute charm IDs. It is the cheapest method and faster than randomly restarting and hoping you get lucky. I am not sure what the exact code for EonTimer and RNG reporter are or whether they contain viruses or not but I downloaded both of them and I have not seen any effects of a virus. Though you should use your best judgement. I know it looks intimidating but it is actually rather easy once you understand what you are doing. It is very different from soft resetting blindly as you are aiming for something instead of hoping it works. If you have any questions about RNG abusing for IDs feel free to ask me as I have done it successfully.(Please respond to this even if it's with a simple you don't trust those programs.)

Pearl Shiny Scramble, Chapter 2, An Encore of Sour Notes
It was getting rather dark. “Wait what is this?” Shiny asked herself. There was a clock that had the numbers 1 to 24 on it. Shiny realized the reason it was bright at 8 earlier was because it was 8 o'clock in the morning, not night.
“What do you see Shiny??”
“Nothing much. I just realized that these parts use 24 hour time. Anyway let's head out.” Answered Shiny. There were beautiful constellations out that night.
“Ooo now that I think about it those stars kind of resemble shapes. Like those three are a triangle!” Wish pointed to some starts in the sky.
“Um… Wish… I don't really know where your pointing. There are many triangles of stars, like that one, and that one.” Shiny responded.
“Oh. Well just try to find the one that I see!”
Shiny pointed up to a random place in the sky. “It's that one.” She said.
“Yay, you found it!”
Shiny was surprised. Did she accidentally point to the right place or did Wish just think that she pointed to it. “Anyway Wish let's go, to route 202.”

Shiny and Wish passed some trios of flowers on their way to route 202. “Wish I think we should try to add someone to our team.”
“Yay a friend! Who is it?! Who is it!?
”I'm not sure yet.“ Shiny answered. ”I guess I'll know it when I see it.“

Just then they were interrupted by Lucas.
Lucas:”Shiny, do you know how to catch a Pokemon?“
Shiny:”Maybe. Why don't you check my pokedex?" Shiny shoved her pokedex into Lucas's face.
“Shiny? that isn't very nice. Besides I don't think I've seen you catch a pokemon yet.”
Lucas:“No? I'll demonstrate how to catch one, so just watch, ok?”
Lucas rad into a Bidoof. It's not like shiny already has 4 shiny Bidoof or anything. Shiny sighed boredly during Lucas's capture tutorial while Wish watched with interest.
Lucas:“And that's how it's done.”
Shiny:“You know I already had Bidoof in my pokedex, right? Did I not show it to you?”
Lucas:“Actually I should have lowered the target's HP some more.”
Shiny:“Or you could have used sing to but the target to sleep. Or spore since it's 100% accurate.”
“Sing? I want to hear a sing! What kind of song is sing anyway?”
Shiny:“It's some sort of lullaby Wish.”
Lucas:“But the most important thing for me when catching pokemon is to lower the Pokemon's HP as much as possible. Putting them to sleep also helps but none of my pokemon know sleep inflicting moves. Here Shiny, I'll give you five pokeballs to get you started.”
Shiny:“Wow thanks Lucas. I thought you were just going to lecture me on something I already know. Thank you for these pokeballs.”“Thanks Lucas. That's very kind of you.”
Lucas:“If you have lots of pokemon with you, you'll be able to travel farther. That way, you'll have a better shot at meeting more pokemon. See you around!”
Shiny:“Umm… Okay? Bye Lucas!”
“Goodbye Lucas! Thanks for the helpful tips and pokeballs!

Lucas left, leaving Shiny and Wish alone together. ”Um… So let's look for some pokemon." Said Shiny. After saving the two walked around in the tall grass. The first pokemon they met was a shiny Starly.
“Will this Starly be our new friend?” The Starly tackled Wish.
“Erm… no.” Replied Shiny. Wish took the Starly out in 2 pounds and 2 metronomes that called mean look and bug buzz. They walked around some more.

“What about this Kricketot?”
“I am a very interesting pokemon. Yesterday I added another chapter to the book I'm writing, the history of dust.” said the normal Kricketot.
“Nah, this Kricketot looks boring.” Answered shiny. Wish defeated the normal Kricketot with 2 pounds and 1 metronome that called leaf storm. They walked some more, they encountered a normal Kircketot. Wish wiggled his stub. Wish got an idea for a beautiful song.
“Take a melody, simple as can be, give it some words and a sweet harmony, oh today how love grows now, sing a song about, love oh love.” Wish's song put the Kricketot to sleep. “So that is what sing is. I like it! I would like to learn it. Can I learn it Shiny??”
“Well yes you can, next level actually.” Shiny answered. Shiny was in a dilemma. For flavor purposes she needed Wish to keep encore to maybe help her get her next pokemon, but at the same time the only move that wasn't worth keeping was encore. Shiny knew what she had to do. “Um Wish maybe we should avoid battles for a little bit. To help keep your energy for making a new friend.”
“That is a great idea! It isn't very nice to attack pokemon when they are taking a nap anyway. Bye Kricketot!” The duo fled.
The duo walked some more, along their walking they came across a normal Shinx, a shiny Shinx! “Okay Wish we are catching that Shinx.”
“Ooo, hello new friend!”
“Umm… Wish it's not because I want to travel and make friends with the Shinx during my journey, it's that I want the pokedex data and umm…” Shiny knew she had to say something Wish would approve of “Erm… it will keep the pokemon in my PC company?”
“Oh okay! Though the Shinx looks kind of scary.” Wish's attack fell. Wish began with Metronome. He grew roots. Shinx tackled Wish. With the roots Wish gained he healed some health. Wish pounded Shinx. Wish chanted something and was tackled. Wish pounded Shinx and was tackled back. Wish's wish came true and healed him to 1 from full health, then ingrain finished the job.
Shiny threw a pokeball. The Shinx was caught. The Shinx was named Hitmonleet, after the person who gave the scramblemon of Wish.

“Yay we did it! What now?”
“Let's go to the pokemon center, we should heal you and store Hitmonleet into the PC.” Suggested Shiny. The two went to the pokemon center.
“Ah, I fell rested. Anyway let's get back out there and look for friends!” Shiny and Wish headed back to route 202. They ran though some tall grass. They encountered a normal Starly, a shiny Bidoof, a normal Kricketot, and a normal Bidoof.

“GroOlolOlolOloloLoWow” a ear piercing growl struck in the air.
“What was that?” Asked Shiny covering her hurting ears.
“Hello! Who are you?”
“Who am I? I am a Kricketot musician, Buguitar.” Some horrible dying violin sounds came from her.
“Ooo, could you play me something?”
“I might. Though I don't really think you want to hear them…”
“Come on! Don't be shy. I want to hear you play.”
"Alright then… I'm going to fail so badly…" Wish chanted something. A horrible off key voice came from Buguitar.
“That was great! Come on, I want to hear it again. But something different this time as I don't want you to strain any vocal chords.”
"Um… Um… Okay? Great now I have to make something up on the spot.“ Nervousness built up inside Buguitar. Wish encored Buguitar in hopes of hearing her sing again. Wish's wish came true but it didn't do anything.
”Is it over?" Shiny asked uncovering her ears. She saw the shaking Kricketot.
“Shiny? could we make friends with Buguitar, she has a great singing voice.”
It was something about the way that Kricketot had a panic attack that charmed Shiny. “Okay we can make friends with her. Wish you should use a non-damaging move like Wish until the bide is done.”
“Yay! Buguitar did you hear that!?” Buguitar was standing in place, shaking from nervousness. Wish began chanting something.
“Ahh!” Buguitar flailed her arms and shouted, but nothing happened. Wish used pound to weaken Buguitar a bit. Buguitar looked around for a second, before the pressure came crashing back it. Wish began chanting something.
"Buguitar are you okay? Would you like to join us?
“Um… um…” Buguitar tried to get the words out. Wish used pound to make Buguitar a little easier to capture if she wanted to join. "Yes."
“Wait what did you say?”
“You… you actually enjoy my music? Do you?”
“Why of course Bugitar! I think it's wonderful!”
“Yes.”
“Okay! So let me just throw a pokeball.” Said Shiny searching her bag. She found one and threw it at Buguitar. Buguitar willingly went in.
“Yay! A new friend!”
“Welcome to the team Buguitar!” Cheered Shiny. “So I should probably heal you guys up first”
“I… I would like some healing…”
The trio walked to the nearby pokemon center.

Buguitar, lv 4, Naughty nature, hates to lose. Growl, Bide. Has a crush on Wish, wait what?
New rule! Due to Wish's kindness Buguitar has growing a crush on him. Whenever she is in a double battle with him she must use Sing or the closest thing if she does not know sing to try to impress Wish. Whenever Wish faints Buguitar must switch in to try to avenge him.

Buguitar was amazed. Wish, the first pokemon to ever complement her vocal skills. She wanted to be with such an encouraging pokemon. It would be a nice change.“So… um… what do we do first?”
“Well first of all we are going to route 202. You can have your first battle since joining our team!” Shiny answered.
“Ooo! I want to see you battle!”
“Real really? Um… Okay then! Let's battle something!” The trio walked into route 202's tall grass. A Bidoof appeared.

“Oh Arceus, oh Arceus what am I suppost to do.” Buguitar started having a panic attack.
“Just that.” Shiny answered, “Use bide.” The Bidoof tackled Buguitar twice in her panic attack.
“Hiiiyyyaaa!” Buguitar flailed into Bidoof. Bidoof lost over half her health. “Oh wow, I, I actually did something.” Buguitar was impressed from herself. “Okay… I guess I'll do it again!”
“Wait!”
“W what?”
“You should moderate your own moves. It can't be healthy to spam the same move over and over again. Temperance is a Virtue you know.”
“Okay?” Buguitar wanted to impress Wish. It was a good time to practice her voice anyway. Buguitar used growl. The Bidoof tackled her. Buguitar did what she thought she did before, try to have a panic attack. Buguitar waited for the Bidoof to tackle her. Buguitar waited, and let all her bottled emotions out on the Bidoof. The Bidoof was weakened, but so was Buguitar.
“Don't worry I'll help you!” Wish took a tackle for Buguitar. Wish chanted something then stopped shielding Buguitar.
Something calming and soothing came over Buguitar, she was healed. Buguitar taunted the Bidoof with a growl. She then used bide again. Striking the Bidoof felt great. Buguitar watched as the Bidoof fell over and fainted. Buguitar felt powerful. She checked her stubs. “I… I did it! Thank you for healing me Wish!”
“Your welcome! I'm happy to help you Buguitar!”
“Anyway Buguitar I think we should heal you, and help you get to level 5.” Said Shiny
“Um… Okay!”

The trio healed then walked back to route 202 to do some training. Buguitar battled a Shinx with wish support from Wish. In fact Wish leveled up!
“Yay, I think I leveled up. Wait, something is coming to me…” 3, 2, … poof! Wish learned Sing and forgot encore. “I think I know a song now.” “Take a melody” Wish sang in a beautiful voice.
“Wow, Wish, you have, you have a beautiful singing voice.”
“Thank you Buguitar! I think that you'll level up soon. Maybe you'll even learn this song too! By any chance would you like to practice singing together?”
“Sure, I, I would love to.”

“Take a melody,”

“Simple as can be,”

Shiny wasn't sure whether to cover her ears from Buguitar's parts or try to listen to Wish's parts.
“So Buguitar how do you think we did?”
“You did great Wish. But I just did terrible…”
“Don't say that Buguitar. Sure your voice may be a little shaky now but give it some time and it will grow even better!”
“Thanks Wish.”
“So guys…” Shiny started. “If your done confusing my ears maybe we could do a little more training with you Buguitar? Maybe we should try a battle without Wish's support.”
A battle without Wish's help. Buguitar's heart started pounding.
“But I'm more than ready to help! I'm glad to do it.”
“That is very kind of you Wish.” Shiny said, she faced Buguitar. “Buguitar, you need to learn how to battle a single pokemon on your own. I won't always be able to switch in Wish to heal you. But don't worry, I'll heal you after very battle for now.”
“Fine…” Buguitar didn't want to stop having Wish help her in battle, he didn't want to lose, but he wanted to impress Wish. And to a much lesser extent Shiny.

The trio healed then walked back to route 202. A wild Starly appeared.
“Um… are you sure? That is, that is a flying type.”
“Relax Buguitar the Starly doesn't even know any flying type moves.” Shiny replied.
“Buguitar I believe in you!!!”
That was all Buguitar needed to hear. She gathered all her emotions, then let it all out. She did about just above half of the Starly's health. Starly and Buguitar growled at each other. Buguitar looked at Wish to see him cheering her on. Buguitar started gathering her emotions again. She let it out and the Starly was in the lower yellow zone. She growled while taking a tackle. Buguitar was on 7 health left. She gathered her emotions. She could lose. The Starly could faint her and make her lose. She really didn't want that. She hated that losing feeling. Growl… Tackle, she charged at the Starly. She growled in panic. 4 more turns until she fainted. If bide takes 3 turns than that should just be enough… The suspense got to her. Growl… Growl… NO! Bide did nothing. Buguitar growled back. A tackle of course. Buguitar was in the red. She hoped and bided she wouldn't faint. Growl… Tackle! Buguitar let it all out! She charged at the Starly with all her might! She loved the feel of power. She could feel it flowing through her. She leveled up to 5. “I… I did it. WOO!” She fell back.
“Yay! You did it Buguitar! You even leveled up! This is great!”

Shiny picked up Buguitar. “Okay so we should probably get you healed.” The trio walked to the pokemon center then back to route 202. “Okay this is it guys. It is time we see what is past the first patch of grass in route 202!”
“Yay! I can't wait to see what is on the other side!”
“Is it safe?”
“We will never know if we don't check!” answered Shiny.
“That isn't very reassuring.”
The trio walked into the first patch and past it… was another bigger patch! They walked in to be ambushed by a wild Starly. “Okay Buguitar you are up!” said Shiny.
“Why is it always me?” Buguitar and Starly growled. Buguitar collected her emotions. Tackle… Growl… She let it out! It barley did anything… “Aw…” Buguitar was disappointed.
“Don't worry I got this!” Wish took Buguitar's place in the battle. He pounded, then metronomed a aromatherapy. The Starly was really intent on growling at everything. Wish pounded again. He then metronomed a Belly drum.
“Erm… that is bad Wish. You will need that health for up next. Maybe you should wish Wish?” said Shiny.
“Okay!” Wish proceeded to chant something. He sung so it would take effect. “Take a melody…” but Wish was interrupted with a tackle. Wish was healed to almost full health. Wish finished the Starly off with a pound.

Up ahead the trio saw a guy wearing a blue cap, a red shirt and some sweet blue shorts that were easy and comfy to wear.
“Hello kind sir!” Wish went up to the guy.
Tristan:Your a pokemon! That must be your pokemon trainer. I happen to be a pokemon trainer! Our eyes met, so battle we must!

It was then the first trainer battle of Shiny's journey started. “Okay so Wish first of all use pound!” Said Shiny.
“But our foes should also have a chance. Kindness is a Virtue after all. I think Tristan should have a free turn.”
“Um… Okay? That won't ever end in us losing. But how should I waste a turn?”
“Maybe you could try to run away, or throw a pokeball.”
“You had me at throw a pokeball.” Shiny turned to face the trainer. “In the name of team skull I throw this pokeball at your Starly!”
Tristan:“Don't be a theif. Besides that won't do anything to my Starly.”
Shiny threw the pokeball. I harmlessly bounced off the Starly.
“Okay now it's fair. So what should I do first Shiny?” Shiny looked at Wish's health. He had 16/24 health which meant Starly's attacks did 6 damage per hit. Wish would be finished if he didn't use wish now.
“Wish I want you to alternate wish and pound.” Shiny answered.
“Got that Shiny?!” Wish started chanting something. It was then it happened. Starly landed a critical hit.
“That's it! I'll avenge you Wish!” Buguitar started with a growl. Starly growled back. Buguitar gathered all of her anger. Wish had been so kind to her, and this Starly had the nerve to faint her? This was unacceptable! Tackle that missed… Quick attack… Quick attack… Buguitar in a stormed and let her anger out on Starly. She growled to honor Wish's wish for temperance. Luckily Buguitar was only growled back. She gathered all of her anger again. This was it, she had to finish it Growl… Quick attack… Quick attack… In a storm of rage Buguitar fainted the foe's Starly. Buguitar leveled up. “That is what you get when you mess with Wish.” She said angrily.
Tristan:“Too strong! Too strong! Take my poke!” Shiny was given 80 poke.
“Sweet cash.” Shiny said staring at the gold coins in her stand.
“Why you little… Shiny we need to heal Wish!”
“Agreed.” The trio headed to the pokemon center running away from any wild pokemon. “Please nurse joy heal my pokemon!” Nurse joy placed Wish's pokeball and Buguitar onto a machine that healed them. After they were done healing Shiny asked “Are yo…”
“Wish are you okay? When you fainted I got so worried.”
“Don't worry I'm good Buguitar! Thanks for asking.”
“…u okay Wish…” Shiny Finished. “Anyway today was rather eventful, you joined our team Buguitar, we battled a trainer, we are still at Sandgem town.”
“Well soon we can go further into route 202. I wonder how deep that route is. Yawn…”
“It shouldn't be to deep Wish.” Shiny answered. “There should be a town on the other side.”
“Yay… That… sounds…” Wish started to fall asleep.
“Awe, I guess we can sleep for the night.” Shiny picked up Wish and placed him on a pillow in the pokemon center.
“I guess I'll also call it night…” Buguitar went on another pillow.
“Goodnight Wish, good night Buguitar.” Shiny set her self on a couch and went to sleep.

Wish is currently my MVP. His wish has really come in handy for healing the team. He is the easiest pokemon to use on my team as he doesn't have too wait 3 turns to attack a pokemon.

Buguitar the Kricketot - level 6

Buguitar takes forever to use right now. She nearly fainted to those wild pokemon without Wish's help. I can't wait until I get Fury Cutter where I don't have to wait 3 turns to attack. Still Buguitar can't really fight too weak pokemon as she tends to only do 2 or 4 damage to them with bide, and she can't fight to strong pokemon as they will defeat her before she can finish bide. I am actually thankful for that critical hit on Wish as it greatly sped up the process of Buguitar getting to level 6 which is only 4 levels away from 10. Still you might have noticed I added some rules to Buguitar during this chapter. This is because I felt like they were little personality quirks that would build more character. I may add more in the future. It depends if anything comes up that would fit one.

Still it's just that moment you realize that after 2 chapters you are still in the same town where you started.

Anyway that is chapter 2 of my Shiny Scramble. I still need 3 people to give me scramblemons if I am to progress past Roark so feel free to tell me a post 1st gym pokemon I should use along with it's rules.

Pearl Shiny Scramble, Chapter 3, Chalkboard
Wish stretched. “Yawn. Good morning everyone!”
“Good morning Wish.”
“Morning Wish and Buguitar.” Shiny said. “Hey we should get some breakfast.”
“Ooo breakfast! What do we have?”
“Let's see in this vending machine there are apples, and chocolate bars.” Shiny said, “I know that I'm having.” Shiny inserted a single pokedollar into the machine and out came 2 chocolate bars. “So what do you guys want?”
“Shiny?! Chocolate bars aren't that good for you. Besides breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If you don't have a good breakfast you won't have enough energy to go journeying latter Shiny?.”
“Um… so what should we have then…”
“Apples are a good choice! Shiny? could I have an apple?”
“I'll take an apple too…”
“Okay, coming right up guys.” Shiny inserted two poke dollars into the vending machine and out came two apples. Shiny gave the apples to Wish and Buguitar. After everyone ate, “Hey, so let's go back to route 202. Maybe this time we could get to the other side.”
“That's a great idea shiny!”

The trio headed out to route 202. Suddenly a Bidoof attacked! “Okay Buguitar your up.”
“Um… okay!” Buguitar gathered her anger and waited for the Bidoof to strike. Tackle… Tackle… Strike! Bidoof was in the yellow zone. Buguitar growled at the tackling Bidoof. She then gathered up her anger… tackle… tackle… Strike! The Bidoof fainted. Buguitar felt accomplished to have defeated the Bidoof on her own. She could feel herself leveling up and getting stronger.
“You leveled up Buguitar! We should probally heal seeing you lost over half your health.” Shiny suggested.
“Agreed…” Buguitar panted. However on their way there they were ambushed by another Bidoof!
“Don't worry Buguitar I got this!” Wish switched in. Wish pounded, metronomed a light screen, pounded, singed then pounded. The Bidoof was defeated. Everyone headed to the pokemon center, healed, then went back to route 202.

“Okay Wish I think you should led this time.” Said shiny.
“Okkie dokkie!” The trio walked along route 202. A wild shinx appeared. Wish metronomed a faint attack, wished, pounded, metronomed a guard swap, and finally pounded.
Shiny read a pointless trainer tips sign. It talked about something Shiny had been doing her whole journey, bait and switching and training pokemon for levels. Shiny saw another trainer ahead.
“Hi there! How are you doing today?'
Natalie:”I spy, with my little eye… A trainer! A battle please!"
“Sure we could battle you.”
“Oh by-the-way-team-skull-rules-I-throw-pokeball-cause-Wish's-kindness-Virtue.” Shiny said quickly. A pokeball bounced off the Bidoof. Bidoof tackled Wish, it was a critical hit. “Man what is it with trainer battles and crits? Anyway Wish, use wish.”
“Okay! Got that Shiny!” Wish began chanting something. Bidoof tackled Wish. Wish pounded the Bidoof. Bidoof tackled Wish. Wish's wish came true and healed him. The Bidoof picked up on Wish's kind aura and fell in love. Wish sang to the Bidoof. “Take a mel…” however he was interrupted by a tackle.
“Hey… Um… Could you not tackle Wish while he's singing?”
Bidoof:“Nope!”
“It's okay Buguitar, I've got this.” Wish pounded the Bidoof. Wish then began to chant something. Bidoof tackled Wish. Wish pounded Bidoof. Bidoof fell over and fainted. Wish's wish came true and healed him. “Hey Buguitar we should switch after defeating every pokemon. Humility is a Virtue after all. It is only fair if everyone shares the spotlight.”
“Um… Okay errm thanks.” Buguitar stepped forward. Buguitar began to gather her anger. Tackle… Tackle… Strike! In a burst of anger Buguitar let out on the Bidoof. The Bidoof went into the red zone. Buguitar growled at the Bidoof. She started gathering her anger. Tackle… Tackle… Strike! The Bidoof fell over and fainted. Buguitar could feel the power running through her. She grew to level 8.
Natalie:“Oh boo, I can't win. My pokemon are all tuckered out. I need to go to a pokemon center.”
“Good job you two. We won our second trainer battle. We should get to the next city in no time!” Said Shiny.
“Yeah! A city sounds exciting!”
“Um… yes. Very exciting.”

“Okay so let's go.” Said Shiny. With Wish at the front the trio went through another patch of tall grass. A Kricketot ambushed them.
Kricketot:“Oh so chalkboard got a trainer. How nice.”
“Wait, who?”
Kricketot:“You know that yellow runt.”
"Go… away…“
Kricketot:”What's da matter? Glameow stole your tongue chalkboard?"
“Hey stop picking on Buguitar!”
Kricketot:“Little chalkboard? I don't think so.”
Shiny shoved the Kricketot. “Hey listen stop picking on Buguitar. Buguitar has been training with me and is now 5 levels higher than you. If it weren't for the fact the the only damaging move the two of you know is bide I would have sent her out here to tear you to pieces already.”
Kricketot:“So da trainer going to fight me now hey? I can take you on big guy.”
Wish pounded the Kricketot full force. “You need to be kinder to others! Buguitar is trying to improve. I can really tell that. She doesn't need pokemon like you to constantly bring her down!”
Kricketot:“You don't know chalkboard's life as well as I do.” She used bide.
“Maybe I haven't known Buguitar as long as you have, but I know no pokemon wants to be insulted like that.” Buguitar looked in awe of what Wish was doing.
“Wish I know you want to go all out and fight this Kricketot but you should probably use sing now.” said Shiny.
“Okay.” “Take a melody, kind as can be…” However Kricketot ignored Wish's voice. Kricketot let the damage she was storing out. Wish took 14 out of 24 damage. Wish began chanting something. Wish used pound. Kricketot started storing energy. Wish sang again, “Give it some words and a nice harmony…”
Kricketot:“Wha…” She fell asleep. Wish pounded the Kricketot into fainting.
Wish was breathing heavily. He felt power from defeating that Kricketot and grew to level 8. After a while Wish asked. “Buguitar are you okay? What was that all about.”
"Don't… want… too…“
”It's okay Buguitar. Once we leave route 202 you won't have to see that mean Kricketot again.“ Shiny said. Buguitar walked towards her pokeball. She went inside. ”Okay want to gather your self. I understand. Come Wish let's go."
“Is Buguitar okay?”
“I'm not sure. I guess that Kricketot bullied Buguitar or something.” Shiny answered
“Bully? That is horrible. I wish I could help Buguitar with what she has experienced.”
“You probably will sometime during this journey, I just don't know when. Let's try some walking.”
“Alright then. I just hope Buguitar is okay.” The duo talked into more of route 202. There was another trainer.

Logan:“Let's have a pokemon battle! Huph! But I'm going to win.”
Shiny threw a pokeball to waste a turn and promote team skull. The Shinx tackled Wish and landed a critical hit. “Man, why is it every time I do a trainer battle the other trainer gets a crit!” Wish pounded Shinx. Wish then used Wish. The Shinx leered Wish and his defense fell. Wish used pound. Shinx with a sliver of health left used leer. Wish's wish came true and healed him to full health. Shinx leered Wish. Wish wiggled his stub and sent two kicks at the Shinx. In fact a double kick.
Logan:“You're like wow!”

“Okay that's another trainer out of the way. Hey Wish, I think the next town is up a head. Just this one last patch of grass and we should be there.” said Shiny.
“Yay! Let's go!”
The duo took one step into the grass and a normal Bidoof appeared. Wish pounded the Bidoof while taking a tackle. Wish metronomed fake out while taking another tackle. Bidoof fell in love with Wish. Wish pounded the Bidoof and she fainted. They walked forward. Shiny read a sign, ‘To Jubilife city.’ “We are almost there.” said Shiny.
“Yay! I wonder that is in there?”
There was a split road. Upwards was the city, but to the left there was a small patch of grass with a pokeball laying at the end. “Item…” Shiny started walking towards it.
“Wait Shiny? you need chastity! Try to abstain from your desires. Besides we could run into a wild pokemon.” Shiny wasn't listening.
Shiny walked forward and picked up a potion. “But Wish I just found a potion! This will be useful for the 1st gym. But what if I need it later?” Shiny said, “Anyway's to Jubilife city!” Shiny turned around to a normal Bidoof.
“I told you we could have ran into a wild pokemon. But don't worry, I'll take care of this!” Wish pounded the Bidoof and was tackled back. “Take a melody…” the Bidoof fell asleep. Wish pounded the Bidoof. Wish then wiggled his stub and metronomed a discharge. The Bidoof fainted. Wish could feel power surge through him as he grew to level 9.

With that Bidoof out of the way the duo walked out of the patch of grass, and into Jubilife city.
Lucas: “Hey Shiny! How many pokemon have you caught?”
“Hi Lucas!”
Shiny:“4 shiny Bidoof, a shiny Starly and Shinx, and a shiny Kricketot. In fact I think you should meet her.” Shiny let Buguitar out of the pokeball.
“Wha… Oh!” Buguitar quickly rubbed her eyes.
Lucas:“Only 7? Well I think you should catch some more.”
Shiny:“Well I would if there were more than Shinxs, Starlys, Bidoofs and Kricketots on the only places I've been.”
Lucas:“It might be more of a challenge to raising a lot of pokemon… but it's worth it. The more pokemon you have, the happier you'll be.”
“Yeah! Having a lot of friends do make you happier.”
Shiny:“Well it's only really a challenge if you raise more than 6, or self impose a challenge like raising a bunch of pokemon that are nitpicky about stuff and must follow certain rules at all times, oh wait…”
Lucas:“In jubilife city, there's the trainer's school. Check it out Shiny.”
Shiny:“I don't really think I will. I already know the basics of pokemon. And the advances of pokemon.”
“But it's always good to learn something new.”
Shiny:“But heading to the trainer's school sounds so boring.”
“Maybe we could… maybe… hide all the pencils? No that's a dumb prank.”
Shiny:“Prank the school? That sounds like a great idea!”
“Shiny we shouldn't prank others!”
Shiny:“But hiding all the pencils will be harmless. Especially if they are still in the school.”
Lucas:“You should really check it out. Barry went to the trainer's school earlier.”
Shiny:“Oh yeah the parcel! I almost forgot about it. Great now I want to peak inside of it.”
“Shiny don't! Besides we are almost there.”
Lucas:“Anyways, see you around! Work hard on your pokedex!”
Shiny:“Okay, bye.”
“Goodbye Lucas!”

And with that the trio were left to explore the town of their own. “So we should probably hit the pokemon center first. Hey look a convenient sign!” Said Shiny who checked the sign. “Okay so it should be to the first right.” The trio walked to the pokemon center.
“That feels better.” Buguitar was fully healed.
“So Shiny what should we do first? Check out the trainer school?”
“Nah, I was thinking wandering around aimlessly and hoping something happens.” Shiny answered. With that the trio began to walk around aimlessly in Jubilife city. Shiny started talking to everyone she came across, however all they said were basic tips she already knew. “Man why is there nothing interesting in this town.”
“There is the trainer's school. Lucas did tell us that he saw Barry there, so maybe we should check to see if he is there.”
“Fine…” said Shiny. She then perked up. “It's prank time.”

The trio walked in the trainer's school. Shiny relized something, there were no desks. Great where were all the pencils to hide?
'Hi everyone!“ Various students looked at the trainer who just walked in and her two pokemon.
”Whoa what is that pink star?“
”That Kricketot looks weird.“
”Aw, the pink one is so cue.“
”Is that a shiny?“
”Why yes, yes Buguitar is." answered Shiny. Buguitar felt nervous at all of the people looking at her.
“Hi there! What are you doing?”
“I wrote an essay in my notebook on what makes a true pokemon trainer.” Said the kid.
“Ooo can I see?”
“Sure.” The kid handed Wish his notebook.
“Thanks.” Wish squinted at the text unsure of what it said.
Shiny stepped onto a square blue mat with a yellow rectangle in it.
Christine:“I just became friends with my pokemon. I'm not sure if we can do this properly, but may we battle.”
Shiny:“Sure! Bring it on. Your up Buguitar.”
“Um okay.” Buguitar walked in front of Shiny.
Christine:“I need to try the things I learned before I forget them!”
Shiny threw a pokeball to waste a turn.
“Grrororlwworlw!” The foe Abra used hidden power. In one turn Buguitar went from 24 health to 15 health, and now she was at 7, she wasn't going to survive long enough to use bide.
“Wish could you battle this Abra?” Shiny asked.
“Sure thing! Here's you book back.” Wish gave the kid back his notebook and switched in with Buguitar. Wish took a hidden power. He pounded at Abra while taking another hidden power. Abra used hidden power while Wish chanted something. Abra hidden powered Wish. Wish pounded the Arba back that caused them to faint. Wish was panting from the damage he had taken.
Christine:“I like to study a lot. I thought I could win. Do you think we would have done better if I used potions.”
Shiny:“I guess but it seems like a waste when the pokemon center is nearby.” Shiny picked up Wish and Buguitar. “And I'm getting the two of you healed.”
“Yay…”
“That, pant, pant, sounds nice.”
Shiny took Buguitar and Wish to be healed. The trio then headed back to where they just were.
Harrison:“Doing it is the best way to learn! Can we battle with you?
Shiny:”Sure I don't see wynuat.“
Harrison:”That pun was rather lame. Anyway go! My pokemon, Go!“
Shiny:”Buguitar your up again!"
“Great… a repeat of what happened last time…” Shiny wasted a turn. Abra used, you guessed it, hidden power. Buguitar growled while taking a hidden power.
Shiny:“Okay Wish, your up.”
“Okay!” Wish took a hidden power. He used pound. He wiggled his stub and metronomed a Sucker punch, but it failed. Wish pounded again and defeated the Abra with hardly any health remaining.
Harrison:“Oh snap, that's how it is then. Whew! You're really good!” Wish was about to faint and Buguitar was on what a Kricketot would consider a knee. “We've been studying every day, but we were no match at all! You'd be able to use this Technical machine properly. Here you go!” Shiny was handed TM10. Harrison went on about TM stuff everyone knows.
“Thanks, and if you excuse me, I need to run to the pokemon center!” Shiny quickly got Buguitar and Wish healed then came back.

“Isn't that Barry over there? Hi Barry!”
Barry:“Hey Shiny! Did you come here to study, too?”
Shiny:“Nah, I was just looking for something interesting to do. Everyone kept mentioning this place so I came here.”
Barry:“I went ahead and memorized everything that was up on the chalkboard.”
Buguitar flinched. She tried hiding in the bookcase behind Shiny.
Barry:“After all, it's the trainer's job to avoid having their precious pokemon hurt in battle.”
Shiny:“It is also the trainer's job to care for their pokemon can did you have to say that word.”
Barry:“What word?”
Shiny:“That one.”
Wish walked over to Buguitar. “Don't worry Buguitar, it will be okay. Barry didn't mean it” Buguitar peaked out from the bookcase.
Barry:“Oh wow that Kricketot looks like what they were talking about with the red Gyarados on TV? How did you find a pokemon like that?”
Shiny:“Wish and bending time to my will a little bit.”
Barry:“So, Shiny what brings you?”
“Shiny give him the parcel.”
Shiny:“Oh yeah, that was right. Barry your mom told me to give this to you.'
Barry:”Huh? You've got something for me? What's what is this? Score! It's a town map! Huh!? Why are there two in here?“
Shiny:”Maybe because your mom thought you would drop one?“
Barry:”I like it alot, but I don't think I'll lose it or need two. Here, Shiny, you take one!'
“Thanks Barry.”
Shiny“Um… okay. I could just use the internet.”
Barry“Hmm… Well accoring to the town map, I guess Oreburgh city is where I should be going next.”
Shiny:“Well obviously. It's where the first gym is.”
Barry:“Yep. It'd be perfect for raising the pokemon I just caught. Well I'm on the road to becoming the greatest trainer of all time!”
Shiny:“Well I guess I'll be trying to win all of the gyms, and promote them in the progress. Did you know Alola replaced gyms with trials? The trial leaders make you do crazy stuff such as watch dancing or make you make them some lunch. To top it off they cheat and do a 2 on 1 battle with you, and they get free turns to use X items.”
Barry:“Yes, I know you support team skull Shiny. Anyway, see you around!”

Shiny turned to Buguitar. “It's okay, you can come out now. Barry is gone.”
"Real really…“Buguitar slowly emerged from the book case.
”Yep. He's not here to call you names any more." Shiny said.
“Buguitar are you okay? Whenever someone says, that word, you keep becoming not okay.”
“I'm not it okay. I, I don't want to talk about it…” Buguitar turned away.
“Buguitar how will the problem ever get better if you don't tell anyone about it.”
Buguitar sunk. Pressure started getting to her. She began glowing red.
“Whoa Buguitar you don't have to use bide right now.” Said Shiny.
“Raahhhhh!” Buguitar yelled and flailed her stubs. She looked around, and was embarrassed.
“Okay Buguitar maybe now isn't the best time to talk. But I will help you move past all that bullying that horrible Kricketot must have done to you.” Buguitar blushed. The room stayed awkwardly silent for a while.

Shiny's stomach growled. “Hey maybe we could get some lunch.”
“Sure.”
“I am getting a little hungry. Where will we eat.
”Let's look around." The trio strolled around town. They came to the pokemon center and had some vending machine food.
“Don't worry Buguitar, I will help you.”

Buguitar is still suffering from having bide as her only damaging move. She has relied on Wish a lot as she can barley survive a battle, much less two. She is 9 exp away from level 9, and 10 is where she first gets constant access to a damaging move. I hope this improves her performance.

Shiny Scramble, Chapter 4, Nightmares from Jubilife city
“Ah that was a nice lunch, so what should we do in this town now?” Shiny asked.
Just then a man walked up to the trio.
Man:“Oh, oh, oh? You call yourself a pokemon trainer? And yet you have no poketch?”
Shiny:“Yes. Why does a trainer need a super fancy watch to train pokemon.”
Man:“That is, pokemon… wait how did you already know this, err I mean of course every one knows of this.”
Shiny:“I learned it from some online forums. The thread was created 4 months ago but it still only has one page.”
Man:“Oh my, you are a rare case indeed!”
"Um… I… don't remember anyone ever wearing any watches.“
Shiny:”Besides isn't the poketch just a Sinnoh thing?“
Man:”You see, I invented, and now manufacture, poketches.“
Shiny:”Oh this is an advertising thing, makes sense.“
Man:”Not only that, I'm now conducting the poketch promotional campaign! All you have to do is find three clowns in Jubilife city.“
Shiny:”Oh no. Not the clowns. Do you know how bad things get in fictional stories about them?"
“Shiny? you shouldn't judge someone based on a fictional story you read, what was the story anyway?”
Shiny:“Attack of the super very most scary most clowns. It was about some clowns, with Hypnos.”
“Are you sure that wasn't just a horror story?”
Shiny:“But these days every one honors books so they must be true. I read that in a book once,”
Man:“If you can find them… I will gift you with a poketch.”
“A gift for winning a game of hide and seek? That sounds fun! Come on Shiny? let's do this!”
Shiny:“Alright. I do like free stuff.”
Man:“Each of the clowns will ask you something about pokemon, get it right and they will give you a coupon, get 3 and tell me to get the poketch. Good luck! Have fun!”

The trio began searching. “So where do you think a clown…” just after 3 steps they spotted a clown. “Um… so that is a clown… Hey Wish why don't you talk to them?”
“Okay!” Wish walked over to the clown. “Hello!”
Clown:“Hi! I'm a poketch campaign clown! Let's roll out my question! Does a pokemon grow by defeating others and gaining exp. points?”
Shiny from a distance asked, “Does he mean experience points or execution points?”
Wish noticed Shiny staying a distance away. “Come on Shiny?! Just come up to the clown.” Wish held Shiny's hand and tried walking over to the clown. Shiny hesitantly followed.
Shiny:"Yes?“
Clown:”Ding-Ding! You're AbsolUtely correct! Pokemon grow stronger by defeating other pokemon in battle. Some pokemon grow into an entirely different form in a process known as evolution. Here you go! Your poketch coupon!"
Buguitar thought of how much evolution could change her. She could become something like a fish, or something completely tone deaf. She started shaking in her spot.
“Buguitar are you okay?”
“Don't worry, I'm fine.”

And with that the trio wandered around Jubilife city some more. Shiny thought she spotted some tall grass to the right of Jubilife city. Shiny could swear she saw something. “Hey I think I see something over there.” Shiny walked forward.
A man came up to her and said“By, the way, have you participated in the poketch campaign? Not yet, right? You really must try!”
“I've heard about it and gotten one coupon.” Shiny said. “But I want to see what's on the route over there a little bit first.”
The man took Shiny and forced her back into Jubilife city.
“Hey that isn't very nice. You can't just do that to others.”
Shiny was furious. She started aggressively dancing at the man. “Did you just mess with me. You have evoked the wrath of team skull! I am going to tell all of team skull about this on their forums and you will rule the day you forced a trainer to get a poketch the next time you set foot in Alola!” The man did not respond. “Come Wish and Buguitar, I bet he's just a part of the poketch marketing campaign. Let's just leave Jubilife city then.”
"Yeah!"
“Okay. I don't want either of you to get hurt from this capaign.”

The trio walked onto route 204. They came across a Budew. “Okay Wish you're up.”
“Okay!” The Budew used growth. Wish pounded on Budew. Budew grew again and Wish metronomed a metal claw, but it missed. Budew continued to grow before Wish knocked them out with pound.
Sarah:“Oh, a weak-looking trainer… Do you want to have a go?”
Shiny:“We are not weak. Any way let's go!”
Buguitar was up. Shiny threw a pokeball to waste a turn, but the Bidoof missed their tackle. Buguitar began with a growl. The Bidoof growled back. Buguitar gathered her emotions, I don't sound like a chalkboard, I don't sound like a chalkboard… Tackle… Tackle… Strike! Bidoof lost half of her health. Buguitar and Bidoof growled at each other. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Tackle… Tackle.. Strike! But it hardly did anything. Buguitar growled while taking two tackles. Buguitar gathered her rage… Growl… Tackle… Strike! It still hardly did anything as she took a tackle. Buguitar growled while taking a tackle again. She gathered herself… Growl… Growl… she flailed around but she didn't do anything to the Bidoof. Buguitar was at 8 health left now.
“Buguitar don't worry I've got your back.” Wish blocked an incoming tackle. Wish finished the Bidoof off with a pound. Bugitar felt the strength from the defeated Bidoof, and went up a level. Wish also felt this energy and became level10. Wish felt like he could learn sweet kiss. However Wish wasn't really that into romance so he didn't learn the move.
Sarah:“Aww… I should have said no. I didn't know you were tough… I'm going to train harder too!”
And with that battle Buguitar was tired so the trio headed back to the pokemon center before going further. A few steps in…

Tyler:“My dad gave me some pokemon! They're gonna win for me!” Tyler sent out a Magikarp.
Shiny laughed a little bit. She wasted a turn while Buguitar got hit with the oh so dangerous splash.
“Grorlwrlwlw!” Buguitar survived another dangerous splash.
“Okay sense there is no chance of bide defeating this Magikarp Wish you're up!” Said Shiny.
“Okkie dokkie!” Wish switched into the most dangerous move in the world. Wish pounded Magikarp. Wish then metronomed a swagger. The Magikarp became much more threatening with a boosted attack stat. Magikarp hurt himself in confusion then Wish finished him with pound. “It's your turn!”
“Okay.” Buguitar walked onto the battle field. A bird, birds eat bugs. Buguitar had a panic attack. Growl… Growl… Buguitar was frozen in fear when Starly used tackle. “Grorrolw!” Buguitar was quick attacked. Buguitar gathered her frustration of not being able to attack the Starly… Tackle… Quick attack… Quick attack… Strike! The Starly was in the red zone. “Grrrolworwl!” and Buguitar was growled back. Buguitar gathered her anger… Tackle… Tackle… Strike! With only 3 health left Buguitar defeated the Starly.
Tyler:“But they were the pokemon I got from my dad…”
“Good job Buguitar. Anyway we should probably rush you to the pokemon center.” Said Shiny.

One center trip latter…
Samantha: “May I please trouble you for a battle?”
Shiny wasted a turn. The Budew began with growth. Wish pounded the Budew while she used growth again. Budew growthed while Wish metronomed an amnesia. Budew water spored while Wish pounded. Wish sang while Budew grew. “Take, some, a, erm…” But Wish couldn't remember the words to the song. Budew used absorb while Wish finished Budew off with a pound.
Samantha:“Oh… Your so strong…”

The trio walked further into the route. There was a cave called Ravaged path. “Let's go in there!” Said Shiny.
“But um… will we get lost?”
“Don't worry Buguitar I will keep track of where we are going.”
The trio walked in. Shiny saw an item and picked it up. “Hey look, an Antidote.” Everyone went to leave the cave when a normal Zubat appeared. Wish pouned the Zubat while getting leach lifed. Wish metronomed a secret power. Wish grew to level 11!
“There are rocks in the way!”
“We could walk past them.” Said Shiny. With some struggle Shiny failed to walk over the rocks. “Oh come on these are like, waist high.”
Buguitar charged at the rocks. Buguitar took 2 damage.
“Buguitar are you okay? I don't think it's a good idea to try to break the rocks.”
“It's a wonderful idea though.” Said Shiny. She karate chopped a rock. The rock remained unbroken and Shiny's hand became red. “Bad idea, bad idea! Man the internet makes this look so easy.”
“I think we should leave the cave. I don't want either of you to get more hurt trying to break those rocks.”
Shiny held her hand. “Agreed.” The trio exited the cave. On their way they saw a normal Shinx. Not seeing the point the trio fled. The trio visited the pokemon center. “So with that creep blocking the east and those rocks blocking the north what should we try to do now?”
“We could try to finish that game of hide and seek for a free poketch. ”

“Alright… I don't want to deal with clowns but I do like free stuff.” The trio wandered around Jubilife city. They found another clown. “Okay Wish you just answer the question for the clown.”
Wish took Shiny's hand and tugged gently. “Shiny you should concur your fear of clowns. They're just people trying to cheer others up. There's nothing to be afraid of.”
Clown:“Just like Pokemon types, the moves of Pokemon also have types?”
Shiny:"Yes.“
Clown:”Ding-Ding! You're AbsolUtely correct! If the Pokemon's type matches it's move's type, that move is made much more powerful!” The clown handed Shiny a coupon.

Shiny walked up to another clown.
Clown:“Can a pokemon hold an item?”
Shiny:“Yes.”
Clown:”Ding-Ding! You're AbsolUtely correct! A pokemon may hold a single item. Some items become effective as soon as they are held by a pokemon. Berries are eaten by pokemon as necessary during battle." The clown handed Shiny a coupon.
“Wow Shiny congratulations! You got all three coupons so we can get a poketch now. You also appear to have overcame your fear of clowns.”
Shiny:“I did. I just realized that if the clowns ever do something with Hypnos or something I have you to pound them up and Buguitar to bide them up.”
“Shiny that isn't what I was trying to…”
Shiny:“It all makes perfect sense!”

The trio walked over to the poketch man from before.
Man:“Let me count your coupons! I'll use the poketch here…”
Shiny:“Are you serious? How hard is it to count to three?”
Man:“I am trying to demonstrate the counting feature of the poketch.”
"No offense, but… using the poketch to count to three, looks… pretty weak.“
Man:”One, Two, Three! Bravo! I say, bravo! In return for these coupons I present you this pokemon watch, or poketch for short!“
Shiny got the poketch. She looked down at her watch, ”Whoa.“ It had some numbers that appeared to be a time, but she still had trouble with hours past 12.
Man:”You can add apps to your poketch to make it even more versatile! Touch the poketch screen and please do try it out!" He walked away.
“Ooo, we got a poketch! What can it do?”
Shiny:“Let's see here.” There was a clock, a calculator, a step counter and a party display. “Well I know which one of these I'm using 90% of the time.” Shiny set it to the party screen. “So what do we do now? I guess we should charge head first into what ever battle opportunity we get.”
The trio walked around town. They headed east. There was that man from before. They managed to walk past him without any hassle this time. Barry ran up to Shiny.

Barry:“Hey! Shiny! Tell me you got a little tougher!”
“Hi Barry.”
Shiny:“Yes, Wish and Buguitar have gained a few levels. What about you?”
Barry:“Me? Do you even need to ask? Of course I got tougher! Come on! Let's battle it out!”
Buguitar was up first. Shiny wasted a turn. Starly used growl then quick attack. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Growl… Growl… Arg! Nothing! Buguitar growled in frustration. Just then Starly quick attacked Buguitar twice. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Growl… Growl nothing… Buguitar was getting very annoyed at Starly. She prepared a growl preparing for a quick attack. Surprisingly the Starly growled back. Starly quick attacked. Buguitar gathered her emotions… quick attack, a critical hit! Another quick attack made Buguitar fall.
“Buguitar!” Wish stepped in to avenge his fallen team mate. The Starly stood still at full health. Starly growled Wish, Wish pounded the Starly. Starly quick attacked. Wish wiggled his stub and tried to use fissure, just for Starly to dodge it. Starly landed a critical quick attack while Wish pounded.
Shiny:“Okay Wish, you should use wish to heal yourself from that critical hit.”
“I don't know… I mean you let Buguitar faint.” Wish wiggled his stub and used faint attack while Starly quick attacked Wish.
Shiny:“Maybe now you could use wish wish?”
Starly growled while Wish started singing “Take a melody,” and Starly fell asleep.
Shiny:“Please Wish, use wish.”
“Hold on I want to let Starly rest for a bit first.” Wish then started to finally chant something. Wish fainted the Starly with a pound. Wish's wish came true and fully healed him. Wish wiggled a stub and used attract, only to find out the opposing Turwing was straight. The Turtwig tackled Wish twice then withdrawed. Wish pounded Turtwig while taking a tackle. Wish started chanting something. Wish pounded Turtwig while he withdrawed. Wish's wish came true and healed him. Wish wiggled a stub and used embargo. Turtwig tackled Wish. Wish in his frustration wiggled a stub and used fire punch. Wish looked in shock to what he had done. He had… He had… broken his own virtue. Wish looked at his own stub that caused it. Wish lowered his head in shame, he had failed at temperance. During Wish's sulking the Turtwing managed to get in a withdraw and tackle.
Shiny:“Come on Wish, the battle isn't over yet, you can do it.”
“But, but I failed at temperance.”
Shiny:“But Wish your the only one who can win this battle now. Buguitar tried hard to face off against that Starly that you defeated. Are you going to stop now and let that all be for nothing?”
“Wait no one switched in after I defeated. That's temperance and humility broken.”
Shiny:“But Wish I don't think that counts as humility broken since there was literately no one you could switch into. Come on Wish, Buguitar really wanted to win the fight. Do you want to let her down?”
“No.”
Shiny:“So Wish get back in there and defeat this Turtwig, for Buguitar!”
“For Buguitar!” Wish got back up. Wish pounded Turtwig while the Turtwig withdrawed. Wish started chanting something while Turtwig tackled Wish. Wish took a tackle. Wish's wish came true and restored him to 28/32 health. Wish wiggled his stub and metronomed a wrap, that missed… Turtwig tackled Wish. Wish started chanting something while taking a tackle. Wish wiggled his stub and used comet punch while taking a tackle. Wish pounded Turtwig while taking a tackle. Wish started chanting something. Turtwig used tackle, but it missed. Wish wiggled his stub and used brine, and despite not being very effective did more that pound could do. Turtwig used tackle. Wish's wish healed Wish. “Simple as can be” sang Wish but Turtwig wasn't paying attention. Wish took a tackle. Wish metronomed a conversation, but it failed. Turtwig tackled Wish twice. Wish started chanting something while being tackled. Wish pounded Turtwig while being tackled. Wish's wish came true and healed him. Wish metronomed a cross chop while taking a tackle. Wish started singing something “How, I failed temperance twice…”. Both pokemon were in the red zone. Shiny used a potion on Wish. Wish pounded. Wish sang “This is a terrible day…” Wish pounded again. Shiny used another potion. Wish was tackled twice because he wasted all of the healing items and sulked about it. Wish did some intelligible humming. Wish after being tackled sang “Oh how everything, seems to be failing. But yet, we must not give up.” Turtwig finally fell asleep. Wish used pound. Wish hummed something. It was just enough time for Turtwig to wake up and use withdraw, but Turtwig's defense couldn't go any higher. Turtwig used withdraw again and appeared to be out of pp for tackle. The Turtwig had been pp stalled. Wish used pound. Wish sang something “Give it some words and a sweet melody.” and Turtwig fell asleep. Wish continued to hum. Wish used pound. Turtwig woke up and withdrawed with what appeared to be one health left. Wish continue to hum but Turtwig ignored it. Wish pounded Turtwig and finally, Turtwig went down. “Finally.” Wish breathed heavily.
Barry:“What's going on here. I lost?”
Shiny:“Yes you did. Though I also lost 2 potions, Buguitar lost her health and Wish lost his innocence. First Buguitar and now Wish. Are you planing to push all of the pokemon I catch over their edge?”
Barry:“No. Well that's it! We were so close. That's the last time I'll ever lose!”
Shiny:“I better grind then. Why am I getting revenge fantasies of one shotting all of your pokemon in our next battle.”
“Shiny? knocking out others isn't nice…” Wish turned to Barry, "But neither is insulting others, fainting others or MAKING THEM BREAK THEIR VIRTUES! Okay Shiny? let me at him, let me at him.“
Shiny:”Whoa not yet Wish, we'll settle this on the battle field, that is how team skull avoids punishment for things slightly outside the rules anyway. At least then it looks like a battling mishap.“
Barry:”Shiny you know I can hear you right? You better not be planing my demise or planing to use me in one of your dumb team skull things.“
Shiny:”Team Skull is not dumb!“
Barry:”But weren't they just a gang that did… I don't even know what they do.“
Shiny:”Ha, you don't even know the awesomeness of team skull.“
Barry:”Anyway Shiny I'm going to be the world's toughest trainer, and you know it!“
Shiny:”Replace tough with causes the most emotional issues and I think you have a shot.“
Barry:”Sigh, The first thing to do is take on the Oreburgh city pokemon gym. I'm gonna toughen up for that, totally!" Barry ran off.

Shiny ran to the pokemon center. “Buguitar, Wish, are you okay.”
“What, what happened?”
“I became a horrible pokemon who can't even stick to their own virtues.”
“Wish?”
“Don't look at me, I don't deserve to be looked at. I'm a terrible pokemon.” Wish started crying.
“Wish…” Buguitar came next to Wish. She didn't know how to make things better.
Shiny:“Wish it wasn't your fault, RNG just hates our guts.”
“Great and I doomed our team to horrible RNG because I can't follow my virtues.”
“Wish… Please don't… Please don't be like this.”
“But I broke my own virtue. How can I forgive myself for this?”
“Wish, please don't give up. You are, an amazing pokemon. So what if you made, a, single mistake?”
“Single mistake? I did it twice. Arg I'm such a terrible pokemon. And great I'm dampening the mood by angsting about this. I'm sorry.”
"Don't be sorry Wish. You didn't really do anything to be sorry about.
Wish hung his head down.
“Who did this to Wish?”
Shiny:“Barry, and RNG. In the heat of battle, well…”
“Am I allowed to use bide on Barry?”
Shiny:“No Buguitar that would get us in trouble. Though it would be a shame if you were to miss one of his pokemon and the attack kept going.”
“I like that plan.”
“Please don't do acts of violence because I failed at temperance.”
“Fine… Then… Though I wouldn't mind, well, doing it.”
Shiny:"Anyway I guess we should head out.

New Rule! Wish due to breaking his virtue feels terrible. He will refuse to battle as the highest leveled pokemon if disobedience could kick in. Wish also wants to forget metronome asap as that is the accursed move that caused him to break his temperance.

The trio headed to Jubilife Condominiums. They saw a girl with a Patchirezo and Pikachu. “Oh, your pokemon is quite adorable.”
Buguitar ducked down and blushed.
Girl:“Here, try making them hold this quick claw.”
Shiny:“Here Buguitar try holding this quick claw.”
Buguitar took the quick claw. “Thanks…”

The trio headed to route 204. A wild Budew appeared. “Okay Buguitar let's go!”
Buguitar was sent out to battle. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Absorb… Absorb… Strike! Buguitar was poisoned by poison point. Budew grew. “Grrrolwrowlw!” the Budew continued to grow.
“Um… maybe we should run.” Said Shiny. The trio fled.
“Ow…” Buguitar was suffering from the poison.
“Buguitar are you okay?”
“No…”
“Shiny use your antidote!”
Shiny:“But what if I need it latter?”
“Buguitar is poisoned! What better time would be for an antidote?”
Shiny:“A dungeon or the middle of a route. We could need it latter if one of you get poisoned there. But what if I need it even latter…”
“Shiny?!”
Shiny:“Okay we'll run to the pokemon center since that is close.”
“I think… I… might of… stopped… being, well… poisoned.” Buguitar was stumbling at one health left. Buguitar was healed.

The trio walked to route 203. In the tall grass they encountered a wild Starly.
Buguitar gathered her emotions… Tackle… Growl… strike! The Starly was almost at half health and growled. “Groolwlwowl!” The Starly used quick attack. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Tackle… Growl… strike! The Starly had 1/4 health left and growled. “Grooolwlww!” Both pokemon growled then Starly quick attacked. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Growl… strike! But it was a miss. The Starly tried to tackle but it was also a miss. “Groooolwlww!” Buguitar was quick attacked, and of course it was a critical hit… Being faced with fainting and Wish being unwilling to battle Buguitar fled. Except the Starly chased Buguitar and growled at Buguitar, who's attack couldn't go lower. Buguitar was cornered by Starly and growled at. Buguitar's heart was racing. She finally managed to escape with only 2 health left. Buguitar was healed then this was tried again.
Another Starly appeared. Starly quick attacked. Buguitar started gathering her emotions… Tackle… strike! Starly growled with just above 1/2 health. “Groolwowlw!” Buguitar was tackled. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Tackle… Quick attack… strike! The Starly fainted. Buguitar felt proud that she fainted the Starly all by herself. She could feel tremendous power flowing through her. Buguitar starting glowing white. Next thing she knew she was a towering giant with her hands replaced by swords. “Ahhh!”
“Buguitar it looks like you evolved.” Said Shiny.
“Congratulations Buguitar! Wow, your so tall now!”
“Um…” Buguitar was terrified. She wasn't really sure what to do with her body. It just changed so suddenly. Buguitar stumbled backwards.
“Buguitar are you okay?”
“No! Just what… what is this!”
Shiny inspected Buguitar. “Well you evolved. It means that you changed shape and grew stronger.”
“How do I unevolve?”
“You can't.” Shiny answered. “Your a Kricketune now.”
“No, no, no, nonononononono no. This… this is just to much.”
“Buguitar, I'll help you get used to your evolution. Now first we should help you get up.” Shiny and Wish helped Buguitar up. Shiny held onto Buguitar's scythe.
“We should probably head into the pokemon center for the night.” Said Shiny. The sun was setting and it was getting rather dark out.
“Alright. A good night's sleep will help us in the morning.”
The trio walked to the pokemon center. Shiny helped the newly evolved Buguitar walk, but Buguitar started getting the hang of walking by the time they made it to the pokemon center. The trio rested on couches and cushions, and went to sleep.

Too easy and too hard options
Okay the levels for traded pokemon obedience will be a setback. Seriously I felt like they didn't play test the levels. Roark has all of his pokemon over level 10. Do they really except someone to beat his gym with level 10 or under pokemon? The worst part is the cap doesn't rise until Gardenia. Why do I get a feeling like this was either not play tested or they are trying to discourage the use of using any traded pokemon? Good thing I picked the too hard option, I could have lost Wish to the RNG if I didn't. I am still going to try for temperance, even if the RNG says otherwise.

Buguitar the Kricketune - level 10

Buguitar was terrible as a Kricketot. Her only damaging attack was bide which was pretty much left up to the hands of RNG if it did anything. Heck she even didn't do any damage to Barry's Starly due to the poor RNG. I haven't battled with her as a Kricketune yet but I have a feeling she will be my MIP with her higher stats, obedience and non RNG based damaging move.

Shiny Scramble, Chapter 5, Ten Base Power is a Disappointment
Buguitar was wandering route 202. It was a rather normal day, but her hands were replaced by blades. She tried picking up a berry to eat, but her blades cut it into a million pieces. She tried drinking some water from a puddle, but her blades cut it in half. She tried playing catch with some other Kricketots, but she cut the ball in half.
“Way to go Chalkboard.” “Chalkboard messes up again.” “Hahaha, Chalkboard failed. Let's all laugh at her.”
An army of Kricketots where all laughing at her. All eyes were on her. “Everybody stop!” she cried. She slashed at the Kricketots. Everyone she knew was gone. Buguitar began growing taller, and then she woke up.

Buguitar's heart was pounding, but it was all just a dream. She was with Wish who constantly encouraged her to do better, and Shiny who had brought Wish to her and took her away everyone she used to know, a majority of them who bullied her. Everything was alright. And then she noticed her hands where replaced by blades. “AHHHH!”
Shiny woke up. “Buguitar what the matter…” She said sleepily.
Wish jolted awake. “Buguitar are you okay?”
Buguitar realized she screamed inside a pokemon center, and that everyone was looking at her. “I'm… I'm fine.” Buguitar ducked down, her cheeks red.
Shiny stretched. “Yawn, so today I was thinking we would go towards route 203.”
“That sounds good, let's go!”

The trio walked to route 203. Buguitar was at the front of the party.
Michel:“I'm full of energy because I get power from my pokemon!”
Buguitar was up against a level 5 Bidoof. Shiny wasted a turn while the Bidoof growled. Buguitar prepared her scythe to try out her new move fury cutter. Bidoof hardly took any damage. Bidoof tackled back. Buguitar growled while the Bidoof tackled back. Buguitar rushed in with Fury cutter while taking a tackle. The Bidoof looked like a 4HKO. Buguitar growled while taking a growl. Buguitar fury cutted Bidoof and the Bidoof fainted. Buguitar won her first battle after evolving with only taking 5 damage. To her it felt amazing.
As per Wish's humility virtue Wish was up next. Wish switched into a Zubat. “Shiny I don't think I should battle… What if I break my temperance again? I don't want to risk it.”
Shiny Sighed. Wish was beginning to act like Buguitar, and one overly timid pokemon was enough. Shiny knew not to argue with Wish's virtues and switched in Buguitar.
Buguitar took a super sonic. Buguitar was confused. Didn't Wish want to help everyone. Then why would he not want to help out in battle? Buguitar went in for a fury cutter. It did almost nothing. Zubat leech lifed in return. “GGORLORLEW!” Zubat leech lifed again. Buguitar tried to fury cutter again. Zubat used leech life and did one damage. “Grolrowlrw!” Zubat super soniced Buguitar again, and for some reason the 50% accuracy move hit again. Buguitar went in for a fury cutter but got distracted by looking at Wish and tripped on a rock. The Zubat leech lifed Buguitar. In rage Buguitar attempted to fury cutter again, it hitting this time. The Zubat leech lifed. Buguitar began to gather her emotions but fell backwards. Buguitar knew she was done for with only 8 health left. Buguitar desperately tried to gather her emotions again… leech life… leech life… strike! Zubat lost nearly half of its health. Buguitar Fury cutted with all her might to be leech lifed in return. Shiny checked her bag to see her only healing item was an antidote. Buguitar desperately growled. Zubat used leech life. With the last of her strength Buguitar charged at Zubat using Fury cutter but missed. The Zubat used supersonic, but missed. Buguitar gave a weak growl. Finally the last of her health was drained away by the Zubat's leech life.
Wish was in shock. Due to his own selfishness of wanting to keep his own virtues he let Buguitar faint when she needed him the most. Maybe the way he was looking at things was wrong. Maybe he shouldn't stop battling all together to follow his virtues, but instead help if his team really need it. Wish was ready to face the Zubat and avenge Buguitar.

New rule! Well more of an alteration. If Wish is the highest leveled pokemon and his disobedience could kick in he may only battle if the rest of his team is either in the red zone or have fainted.

Wish pounded the Zubat. In one hit the Zubat went from a little above half health to one health left. Wish took a leech life and a super sonic. Wish was hurt by leech life and confusion of whether he was even following his own virtues at all. Wish wiggled his stub and used super sonic, that hit. Zubat flew into the ground leaving him at one health. Wish pounded away Zubat's last health but felt terrible. He leveled up, and let Buguitar faint.
Michel:“Oh! My poor Bidoof and Zubat!”

Shiny ran to the pokemon center. Both Shiny and Wish turned to Buguitar and asked “Are you okay?”
“I'm fine.” Buguitar couldn't believe she lost to a Zubat after evolving. She swore if she saw another one…
Shiny went and checked the pokemart. Shiny bought 2 potions. She also bought ten pokeballs because they are awesome. Shiny now broke with only 108 pokedollars left went back to route 203. Shiny found and picked up a pokeball. She ran into a wild Starly.
Buguitar was out. She began with Fury cutter while taking a growl. “Grolwrlowl!” while taking another growl. Buguitar then alternated between fury cutter and bide until the Starly fainted, scoring a critical hit with the first fury cutter. Buguitar finished the battle with 30 health left.
Dallas:“We're always together. I'll show you how we've bonded.”
Buguitar was out against another Kricketot. Shiny wasted a turn. Buguitar took a growl. Buguitar used fury cutter while the Kricketot growled. “Grolrolw!” While the Kricketot used bide. Buguitar followed suit. Buguitar wanted to avoid damage but as soon as her bide stopped the Kricketot's started again. “Grolrolw!” Shiny wasted a turn so Buguitar wouldn't be hurt. Buguitar used fury cutter. The opposing Kricketot somehow was faster than Buguitar and used bide before she could fury cutter. Buguitar used bide in an attempt to bide the damage from bide. Buguitar finished off the Kricketot with 22 health left. Could feel power flowing through her and leveled up.
Dallas:“It's got me down.”

The trio continued along route 203.
Kaitlin:“I found a trainer while looking for some pokemon!”
Shiny wasted a turn. Buguitar took a tackle. Buguitar used fury cutter while the Bidoof used tackle, it's only move. “Grolrolrw!” Buguitar used fury cutter and the Bidoof went down and a Budew took it's place. Wish came out for a moment only to let Buguitar back in. Buguitar faced a growth. Buguitar used fury cutter while taking an absorb. Buguitar then gathered her emotions… Absorb… Growth… Strike! Budew used absorb just exiting the yellow zone. Buguitar used fury cutter again. The Budew fainted. Due to Wish's humility Wish switched in only to be switched out again. Buguitar took a growl from the foe's Starly. Buguitar fury cuttered hardly doing any damage. Starly growled again. Buguitar gathered her emotions… growl… tackle that missed… strike? But only then did the tackle hit. Buguitar fury cuttered again while taking a growl. Buguitar gathered her emotions… tackle… growl… strike! The Starly went into the yellow then used tackle. Buguitar used fury cutter and the Starly fainted.
Kaitlin:“Hun? Your finished so soon?”

Shiny rushed to the pokemon center. They then came back. “Hey Buguitar, I was thinking that we should grind you a little so your the same level as Wish.”
“Um… okay.” They battled a Starly, Starly, Starly and Starly. Shiny could have sworn one of them was holding an ID card for the Pidgeonation. Buguitar grew to level 12!
The trio headed down route 203.
Sebastian:“Gimme a battle so I can see if I'm ready for the Pokemon Gym challenge!”
Shiny:“Well if you don't have anything over level 9 than I say you defiantly aren't.”
Buguitar was out against a level 7 Machop. Shiny wasted a turn. Machop used Leer. Buguitar used fury cutter while taking a low kick. “Grolrwolrwl!” Machop used low kick that was a critical hit! Buguitar gathered her emotions… low kick… low kick… strike! Machop was at half health and used leer. Buguitar used fury cutter that was a critical hit! It felt amazing to Buguitar as her sycthe smashed against the Machop as it fell to the ground.
Sebastion:“I guess it means I'm not ready for the Pokemon Gym challenge yet…”
Shiny quickly healed Buguitar then came back.
Madeline:“I got a nifty-keen Gym Badge from the Gym Leader in Oreburgh City!”
Shiny:“Is there any reason why you keep on capitalizing the words that have to do with a gym?”
Shiny wasted a turn. The foe Starly used growl. Buguitar gathered her emotions… quick attack… tackle… strike! Buguitar one shoted the Starly, and it felt awesome to her.
“Let's go!” Wish switched in for humility. Wish pounded the Bidoof while taking two tackles. “Here Buguitar, you should get some experience too.” Wish switched out.
Buguitar took a growl. “Grolrolrw!” Buguitar took a tackle. Buguitar used fury cutter while taking a growl. Buguitar gathered her emotions… growl… tackle… strike! Bidoof growled. Buguitar used fury cutter. The Bidoof fainted.
Madeline:“Oh, I lost. Lalala!”

Shiny wondered how someone could have beat Rowark with two level 5 pokemon, one of them being weak to rock and neither having a move that wasn't no very effective. They ran into an Abra but ran away. Shiny found 175 poke err a repel. Buguitar defeated a Shinx and saw a sign. “Hey look Oreburgh city. It's just beyond this Zubat infested cave.”
Buguitar shuddered at the memory of the last of her energy being sucked away with two sharp fangs. “Um… maybe we could… heal first?”
“Okay” said Shiny. They went to the pokemon center then headed back towards route 204.
Buguitar knew she had to act fast. “I um… saw something really shiny in that direction. Yeah, it was super valuable.”
“Someone could have dropped it. Come on Shiny we have to check it out.”
“But Zubat cave…” Shiny was forced to follow her two pokemon who were heading west. Buguitar had an large grin on her face. Shiny was catching her breath. “Can you believe it.” She said to a random fisherman. “My pokemon…”
“Love fishing?” The fisherman finished. “Do you also love fishing?”
“I guess it's pretty cool” Shiny answered.
“Then take this. The all mighty old rod. Scientifically engineered to catch Magikarps 100% of the time. May the Magikarps be with you.”

Shiny showed Wish and Buguitar the fishing rod. “Well I know what we are going to do now.” The trio walked to route 218.
“Ooo a stick! What are we going to do with it?”
“This,” Shiny answered. She sat down on a small island and cast her rod. Normal Magikarp… Shiny tried to cast it back into the water but Wish and Shiny couldn't escape. The Magikarp splashed fearsomly. Buguitar walked over and threw the Magikarp back into the water. Shiny continued to fish looking for something that wasn't a normal Magikarp. Two Magikarp latter a shiny appeared.
Wish readied himself. Wish started to chant something. And you all know the terrifying move that Magikarp used. “Give it some words and a sweet harmony.” the Magikarp fell asleep. Shiny threw a pokeball. And it worked! Shiny named the Magikarp Fishbun, after a really weak enemy in Ittle dew 2.

“Wait… I'm well… not really used to my scythes yet and I meant to point northwest. To you know route 203.” She was umm… encouraging expansion of the team. Buguitar couldn't think of anything beyond this to stall going to zubat cave.
“Then we must go there. Someone could have lost something really important.”
Shiny was then dragged by her pokemon to route 203. They walked around with Wish at the lead. After searching through the tall grass for a while and what felt like over 20 wild pokemon they encountered a shiny Starly. Wish pounded it to the yellow zone. Shiny just wanting something out of this threw a pokeball. Shiny promptly named the Starly 3000 Years as that was how it felt to Shiny how long it took to run into a shiny with Wish in the lead.

Shiny sort of wanted a Shiny Budew but after how long it took to find 3000 Years Shiny was out of it. “Okay we have searched for a long time and have found nothing. Let's just go to Zubat cave already.”
“But we found an old rod, Fishbun and 3000 Years along the way. But we never did find that item that someone could have lost…”
Shiny thought for a moment. “Your right, we did get an old rod.” They went to the pokemon center then route 204, facing Zubat cave. Buguitar twiddled her scythes nervously. They stepped into Oreburgh gate. “Oh and did I forget to mention that Geodudes are actually more common than Zubats in this cave, or at least according to this wiki page I pulled up. Look you can also evolve Eevee into Steeleon here by running around the outline of the cave 3 times tossing 3 pokeballs each step while Eevee knows bite and encounters a wild pokemon on the last step that causes Eevee to level up. It's a wiki so it must be true. Too bad I don't have any Eevees though.” Shiny took a few steps in.
“Shiny? that Steeleon thing sounds like a lie, how does tossing pokeballs affect evolution?” Shiny shrugged. Buguitar's eye twitched. There wasn't leech lifeing Zubats every step, there were geodudes too?

A Hiker approached and said, “Oh, lookie there! You've got a Poketech! Hm… You're still a pretty new Trainer, aren''t you.”
“Yeah I guess.” Shiny answered, “I only have 9 shinys and 17+ hours of journey time.”
“But it's all good! You're a new fellow friend of pokemon! So, let me make a gift of this hidden machine to you!” The hiker handed her HM06, rock smash.
“Thanks!” Shiny replied.
“That's a hidden machine…” he droned on about HMs and Rock Smash, nothing she didn't learn at trainer school before she went on this journey. Though if you asked her riding Tarous to call at any moment to smash rocks sounded much more practical than wasting your pokemon's move slots. Shiny began thinking dreamily of what she have heard of the Alola region, and team skull. “…outside of battle.” She nodded and pretended she was listening to what the Hiker just said.

The trio headed deeper right into the cave. Suddenly,
Curtis:“We Trainers will accept challenges anywhere! It's what we do.”
Buguitar was up. Shiny wasted a turn. Buguitar took a tackle. Buguitar ran to the Shinx and Fury cutted the Shinx's tackle. “Grolrowlw!” Shinx leered Buguitar. Buguitar used Fury Cutter again while taking a leer. “Grolorlolrw!” Buguitar took a tackle. Buguitar charged at the Shinx with fury cutter and the Shinx fell. Buguitar could feel herself getting stronger, and gaining a level.
Curtis:“Hmm… Insafishently raised?” He said. Shiny wondered if he was talking about his own pokemon.

They headed deeper into the cave. Wish encountered a normal Geodude, but fled.
Diana:“To celebrate my getting through this cave, I'm going to battle you.”
Shiny:“But the exit is right there.” Shiny pointed ahead.
Diana:“Do you know how many Zubats are swarming this place? Go Budew!”
Shiny wasted a turn. Budew protected herself from fire by covering the battle field in water. Buguitar used fury cutter on the Budew causing the Budew to go to the yellow. The Budew used absorb and healed a single health to go back into the green zone. “Grolrowlrw!” The Budew grew in response. Buguitar went in for another Furry Cutter. The Budew fainted.
Wish was up next. Wish switched into Psyduck landing a critical scratch. Wish took two tail whips and two scratches. Wish began to chant something. The Psyduck landed another critical scratch. Wish pounded the Psyduck. Wish was tail whiped in return. Wish's Wish came true and was healed back to 24 health. Wish wiggled a stub and used psych up. The Psyduck responded with a tail whip. “Raise your voices all day now love grows strong now.” Wish sang. Psyduck fell asleep. Wish pounded Psyduck. Psyduck immediately woke up and used tail whip. Wish wiggled a stub and used last resort and Psyduck's last HP fell away.
Diana:“Well', I guess losing is something to commemorate too…”

The exit was up ahead. The trio exited Oreburgh gate. It led way to the blinding light outside. Shiny read a sign “Oreburgh City, City of Engery.” Shiny was confused. Didn't school teach her Sunnyshore had solar panel streets?
“Wow this town looks so nice!” Wish cheered.
A young boy walked up to them. “Howdy, Trainer!”
“Hello! How are you?”
The boy continued, “If you don't have a single Gym Badge, other trainers will look down on you like you're a total noob, right?”
“What kind of door knob?” Shiny asked. “Yeah gyms are the best kind of challenge way better than those awful trials in Alola.”
“So I'll show you where the town's Pokemon Gym is.” The boy finished.
“Thank you. That's kind of you.”
The trio followed the boy. He saw the gym entrance and mumbled “Huh? There's someone there. Is that guy there your friend? He looks twitchy and impatient.”
“I guess he is?” Shiny answered. “Though he has been doing a lot of deteriorating my pokemon's sanity this journey.” Shiny turned to her pokemon, “I guess we could talk to him, but I was thinking we could look around Oreburgh gate some more.”
“Yay exploration!”
“As long as there aren't any Zubats…”

The trio healed then headed back into Oreburgh gate. They took the upper path this time. But there were rocks. “Well that didn't go very far…” Shiny started walking around the cave with Wish in the lead. They encountered a normal Geodude, Geodude, and then a shiny. Wish wiggled a stub and used embargo. The shiny Geodude tackled Wish, then fell in love. Wish pounded the Geodude. Geodude was looking at how cute Wish is. Wish started chanting something. The Geodude was still staring. Wish started singing “Sing a song about, love oh love.” however the Geodude was to busy mud sporing to notice. Shiny threw a pokeball, and it worked! Shiny named it Nugget as it looked like a gold nugget.

Wish cheered at making a new friend. They ran around some more a normal Geodude, Zubat, and then another Shiny Geodude came up. Wish wiggled a stub and used ice fang, freezing the Geodude in the process. Wish backed away so Buguitar could get in. Buguitar switched into the Geodude thawing out and defense curling. “Grolrolwlrw!” the geodude continued to curl. Buguitar gathered her emotions… tackle… mudsport… strike! The Geodude defense curled in the red zone. Buguitar ran forward and fury cutted the Geodude. The Geodude tackled in response. Buguitar gathered her emotions…Mud sport… Tackle… strike! The shiny Geodude fell giving Wish and Buguitar some experience. The trio then walked out of the cave.

The trio went to the pokemon center. “Ah so soon we are facing Rowark. I've heard he has rock type Pokemon. Buguitar are you ready for this!” Shiny asked Buguitar.
“No…” Fainting from a rock type move, none of her moves being normally effective. Buguitar rubbed her scythes in anticipation of what was likely to happen.
“Dont worry Buguitar I've got your back.” Wish looked at Buguitar with a look of determination. Buguitar smiled.
“Alright after lunch it is.” Shiny said, “We'll head over to the Gym and challenge Rowark. Though we will probably have to face Barry who is at the entrance of the gym.” Wish sighed. Buguitar let out a small growl. The began to eat lunch.

Too easy and too hard options
Despite how little I've used Wish this chapter he is still my MVP. Pound does damage, wish heals, sing sometimes give me free turns and metronome is either helpful or useless, and cute charm sometimes gives Wish free turns. Wish's main flaw however is that he hit the level for disobedience. This causes Wish to waste turns or use a different move than the one I selected. I'm kind of afraid of giving him exp as he levels up so fast and the self imposed rule I added. Disobedience is just ruining everything, when I want to heal Buguitar mid-battle with wish Wish takes 7 turns to use it sometimes, for plot reasons I added a self imposed rule that makes me afraid to use him in battle or else he will over level Buguitar, arg I really wish they would play test the disobedience levels instead of saying they where good. Still overall Wish is more useful than Buguitar.

I thought evolution would change everything. Buguitar would start 2HKOing everything, but I was wrong. Fury cutter has only 10 base power, which hardly does anything. I have found moments where bide did more damage than fury cutter which I found sad. Though Buguitar does have more bulk now so at least she an handle single battles by herself, unlike Wish who could keep going due to wish. Though near the end of the chapter Buguitar did start fulfilling what I wanted more being able to 2HKO or 3HKO most pokemon who didn't resist her, but Starlys are everywhere and up soon Zubats Geodudes and other rock types will be everywhere. At least next level she will learn leach life, that can maybe make her better? Still I've spent the majority of the chapter trying to raise her level to at least that of Wish's.

Still overall I'm just waiting for a mon that is obedient and has a good damaging attack that isn't RNG dependent and takes 3 turns to use. Hot Air please come soon. (Though it will probably be another 5 chapters or something like that.)

Shiny Scramble, Chapter 6, The Rock that Falls the Stars
The trio had fished lunch and was heading towards the gym. They ran into their rival, Barry.
Barry:“Hunh? Oh it's you, Shiny! You finally got here?”
Shiny:“Yes I did.”
Wish was still mad from before. I know, I'm not going to say hi to him. Muhahaha! Wait maybe that is too evil? “Hi Barry.” Wish said in a dry tone. Buguitar had her scythes raised.
Barry:“You're slow as always. You're so slow, the Gym Leader's long gone now.”
“Hey don't judge Shiny?'s speed like that. She was making sure we were able to handle what came next. I bet you didn't. In fact I challenge you to a battle!”
“Yes!” Buguitar liked Wish's eagerness to battle. The embarrassment, that name. Together they could get revenge.
Barry:“Um Shiny what is with your Pokemon?”
Shiny:“Well Buguitar is still mad about you saying ch-that word and losing to your Starly and Wish is mad about you making him break his virtue.”
Barry:“How is either of those my fault?”
Wish realized Barry was right. It wasn't Barry who made him break his temperance, it was completely on him. Still he called Shiny? slow…
Barry:“He said he had to go… Uh… Oh, yeah, to Oreburgh Mine! I got my Badge already, so it's no big deal to me, but…”
Shiny:“So I have to traverse some mines. What could go wrong. So I guess we're heading to the mines.”
“How do we know that Barry isn't lying. After everything he had done to us.”
“Buguitar were those things really his fault? He didn't mean to call you that, he was referring to the one in the back of the school. And before he was battling to win, he didn't mean to embarrass you or anything.”
What was this. Wish, the pokemon she trusted the most, was defending the enemy. “Your right…” Buguitar lied.

The trio headed towards the mines. There was coal, coal everywhere. Shiny ran into a rare black Geodude! “Wow it's,” Shiny took a closer look, “A piece of coal with an angry face on it.”
A miner walked up to Shiny. “That's my Geodude Coalbert. Do you like him?”
“Hello Coalbert!” The piece of coal did not respond.
“That's a very nice, ‘Geodude’ you got there, but we have to go you see…” Shiny replied.
“Nonsense. Trainers always have time to battle. Go Coalbert! Who's a good boy. You are, you are. Will my little Coalbert use tackle. Yes you have a very handsome tackle.” The worker talked to the piece of coal like a dog.
“Oh no we are being blown away by a roar, bye.” Shiny and Buguitar walked away.
“Goodbye it was nice meeting you!” Wish followed.

Shiny was poking around. She came across a large pile of coal. She picked up some stardust. “Hey look, I found some free money by this coal.”
“You know that is a slag heap right there, not coal. It is the waste sand from sorting coal. You know I joined this mining business when…” Shiny and Buguitar walked off, signaling Wish to follow.

Shiny saw a Machop. “Hmm, so pokemon help out here.”
“Yes they do!” Answered a coal miner. “Combining our strength with pokemon makes us much stronger. Here take one of these.” The man handed Shiny a super potion.
“Wow, thank you.” Shiny wondered how he got this, it's not like pokemarts had any.
Wish was helping out the Machop slightly. “Thank you kind sir!”

“Alright so the mine is right here. I know what we should do.” Shiny started. She put Buguitar in the front of the party.
“Why me.” Buguitar stepped into the Zubat and Geodude infested cave.
Almost immediately Shiny saw an X defend and picked it up. A wild Geodude appeared. After taking 6 damage and seeing the Geodude deference curl they ran. Since Buguitar's attacks did so little damage Shiny decided to avoid wild battles. Shiny spoke to the different workers suddenly,
Mason:“I'm gonna let you in on a secret… I snuck my pokemon to work!”
Mason promptly sent out a Machop, the pokemon everyone around here was using.
Shiny wasted a turn. Machop used focus energy. “Grollrw!” The Machop scored a critical rock smash. Buguitar gathered her emotions… Rock Smash crit… Rock smash… Strike! The Machop went to the yellow, then used Rock Smash. Buguitar went in for a fury cutter, but it missed. Buguitar was at 6hp left.
Wish rushed in. “Buguitar!” Wish took a rock smash. “Take a melody” but it failed. Wish took two Rock smashes. Wish fainted.
Buguitar stood in shock. Wish tried to help her but failed. “A potion.” Buguitar demanded.
“But what if we need it latter?”
“This is latter.” Buguitar stole a potion from Shiny's bag and used it. Buguitar started to gather her rage… Rock Smash… Rock Smash… Strike! The Machop was down. Buguitar was breathing heavily.
Mason:“Well, now aren't you something.”
Shiny picked up the close by potion then ran to the pokemon center. After healing the trio headed back into the mines. Shiny picked up an escape rope.
Colin:“Fine, all righty then. Just a quick battle on my break!” He sent out a Geodude.
Buguitar was up up. Shiny wasted a turn. Geodude spread mud all over the place to weaken electricity. Buguitar began with a fury cutter. The Geodude tackled Buguitar. “Grlolwrlworl!” Geodude tackled again. Buguitar went in for another fury cutter. The Geodude defense curled. Buguitar started to gather her emotions… crit tackle… defense curl… strike! Geodude fainted. Buguitar felt good, power flowed though her as she leveled up. She could even feel a new technique surfacing.
Wish was out next. Onix tackled Wish. Wish started chanting something while taking a tackle. “Simple as can be” however the Onix was unaffected. The Onix used rock throw. Wish's wish came true and healed him. The Onix hardened twice. “Give it some words” The Onix fell asleep. Wish wiggled a stub and used memento then fainted. Wish had fainted. Shiny and Buguitar were in shock.
Buguitar was out. Buguitar ran in with a fury cutter but missed. Buguitar got an idea. Buguitar bit Onix and started to use leech life. Buguitar felt like a zubat, and that was great. She went in for another fury cutter. Onix woke up and threw a rock. “Grololrw” the Onix used harden. Buguitar began gathering her emotions… harden…rock throw that missed… oh come on! The onix threw another rock but missed again. Buguitar used leech life while the Onix Hardened. Buguitar gathered her emotions again… Tackle… Harden… Strike! the onix was in the yellow and used tackle. Buguitar used leech life again. The onix threw a rock. Buguitar gathered her emotions… rock throw… rock throw… strike! The Onix had 1 hp left, and threw another rock, it was a crit. Buguitar desperately used leech life. The Onix fainted.
Colin:“Wahaha! Mercy I cry Mercy!”

With Wish fainted and Buguitar at 10 health left Shiny carefully walked back to the pokemon center running from all wild battles.
“Wish are you okay?”
“I'm great now! Wish answered. ”It's just…“ Wish looked at his stub, remembering the move that had caused him to faint. ”It's just what just happened was terrible. I fainted and wasn't able to help you. I'm not sure if I want to use metronome again."

New rule! Wish due to fear of reusing Memento can never use Metronome again, or any self fainting moves.

“Alright,” Shiny answered. The trio headed out again. They went to Oreburgh mines, running from everything in sight. “I wonder if that's Rowark.”
“What makes you think that Shiny??”
“Mostly the fact that he is the only miner here that doesn't look like everyone else.” Shiny answered. She walked up to the man.
“Stand back and watch this. Using the hidden move Rock Smash, a boulder blocking your way…” the man said facing a rock. He choped the rock with his hand and the boulder was smashed into a million flying shards.
“My wing!” A Zubat cried.
“Fallen boulders need to be smashed so they're out of the way.” The man said.
“So is that how you beat Zubat?” Shiny asked, looking at the Zubat who was dramatically flailing.
“No, Rock Smash is a fighting type move which isn't very effective on flying types. Rock types on the other hand…” Shiny thought about a geodude getting Rock Smashed. Harsh. “Still if you could get the Badge from the Gym in town, you'd be able to do this too.”
“Alright so where is the gym leader?” Shiny asked.
“That'd be me!” Roark said.
“Knew it.” said Shiny.
“Hello Roark sir! It is very nice to meet you!”
Roark smiled, “It's nice to see you too. I'll see you at my gym if you want to challenge me.” Roark walked away.
"Well I know where we are going next. The gym in which I've heard in trainer school was infested with rock types. You know, the kind we don't have any normally effective moves against. This will be FUN.
Buguitar looked down and twiddled her scythes.
“Don't worry guys we can do this! What does Roark have that we don't?”
“Resistances and years of experience.” Shiny answered.
“Super effective moves.”
“Okay maybe he has a upper hand.” Wish broke out in song, ‘But we can train to be strong, in the real way. We’ll beat him with our friendship and our bond, in the real way. I want to inspire you. I want to be your light and when we fight to light the fire, inside of you."
“That was beautiful.”
“That was an inspiring song Wish, but we are still at a disadvantage. What's the worst that can happen? Let's go.” Said Shiny.

The trio walked over the the gym. Ah, the gym. The amazingly spectacular gym. With straight forward battles. The gym leader fought fairly. Much much better than those dreaded island trials team skull told Shiny about on some forums. Unlike gyms island trials had you do some irrelevant task and they only allowed you to have out one pokemon at a time while the totem got to cheat by having auto boosted stats and an another pokemon to battle with. On days like this Shiny was glad to live in Sinnoh. A man told Shiny, “Hi there champ-to-be, you can use water and grass type moves to make things easier, not that you know any, har, har, har.” Shiny moved on.

Jonathon:“You avoided the long way around? Let's see why you'd do that!”
Shiny:“For experience, money and to see if my team is ready to face Roark. That's why.”
Shiny wasted a turn. Geodude defense curled. Buguitar used leech life while geodude defense curled. Buguitar went in for a fury cutter while geodude once again defense curled. Buguitar growled in frustration. Geodude used tackle. Buguitar leeched lifed while taking a defense curl. Buguitar was growing frustrated that her attacks were only doing 1 point of damage. Buguitar gathered her frustration… defense curl… defense curl… arg! the geodude promptly used tackle. Buguitar used leech life while taking a tackle. Buguitar gathered her emotions… tackle… tackle… strike! Buguitar took out half of Geodude's remaining health. Buguitar used leech life while taking a tackle, but not any tackle, a critical hit. Buguitar began to gather her rage… tackle… tackle… strike! Geodude fainted. Buguitar could feel the experience flowing through her as she leveled up.
Jonathan:“Now I understand why you wanted to battle with me.”
Shiny rushed to the pokemon center then went back to the gym.

Darius:“Only those who want to win can challenge a pokemon gym!”
Shiny:“Why would someone want to challenge a gym if they didn't want to win?”
Shiny wasted a turn. Geodude used tackle. Buguitar used leech life while taking a tackle. Buguitar fury cutted while the geodude defense curled. "Grrrolollw! the geodude curled even more. Buguitar used leech life while the geodude defense curled. Buguitar gathered her emotions… tackle… defense curl… strike! Geodude's defense went even higher. Buguitar used leech life while the geodude tackled and missed Buguitar. Buguitar leaped into Geodude and finished things off with Fury Cutter.
Wish was up against an Onix. Wish took a rock throw and a tackle before using pound. Wish was in for a long battle. Onix hardened. “and a sweet melody.” Onix fell asleep. “Raise your voices, oh today how love grows strong now,” Wish continued to sing. Wish began dancing along to the song and by mistake swung one of his stubs out. Wish used metronome. Wish watched in fear as the entire gym started to shake, an earthquake. Wish was relieved when he didn't faint. Onix woke up from the shaking and used rock throw, tackle, harden, rock throw. Wish finally started chanting something but by then it was too late, Wish had 5 health left and any attack out easily faint him.
“Wish I've got this!” Buguitar took a tackle that could have been fatal to Wish. Wish's wish fully healed Buguitar. “Grolworlw!” The Onix used harden. Buguitar went in for a Leech life though it barely did anything. Buguitar gathered her emotions… tackle that was a critical hit but hardly did anything… tackle… strike! Onix had fainted.
“Thanks Buguitar! We make a great team!” Wish leveled up and learned copycat to replace metronome, the move Wish now feared. Buguitar blushed.
Darius:“Gggh… This is humiliating.”

Shiny went to the pokemon center. Shiny trained Wish a little bit in the Oreburgh mines. Wish fought a Zubat, Zubat, ran from a Shiny Geodude, normal geodude, shiny geodude, caught a shiny Zubat named Flapa after a critical pound, ran from a Geodude, fought a Zubat in what felt like 10+ turns, ran from a shiny Geodude, Onix, geodude, fought a level 8 Onix in a 20+ turn battle demonstrating the nightmare having all your attacks do 1 damage and disobedience will be at Roark's gym ending with Wish getting a merciful critical hit, and after all that Wish was level 14.

“Alright everyone are you ready to face the gym leader Roark?” Shiny asked.
“As ready… as I'll ever get.”
“Yes! Don't worry Buguitar we can do this! I've got your back.”
“Al… Alright. Let's do this.”

“Okay we are going to face the gym leader.” Shiny took a deep breath. Shiny walked past all of the rocks lining the gym. She walked up the stairs. “Roark. I challenge the Oreburgh city gym.”
“Welcome to the Oreburgh Pokemon Gym! As you know I'm Roark, the gym leader. I'm but one Trainer who decided to walk proudly with Rock-type Pokemon! As the Gym Leader, I need to see your potential as a Trainer. And, I'll need to see the toughness of the Pokemon that battle with you!” Roark sent out a Geodude.
“Alright Buguitar let's go!” said Shiny. Buguitar was out first. Shiny wasted a turn. Geodude scattered a hundred pointed stones between Shiny and Buguitar, ensuring damage for any switch. Buguitar was ready. “Grrrrrroooowlwl!” Buguitar smiled at her best growl yet. A hard rock hit Buguitar in the chest. Buguitar began to gather her emotions… rock throw… rock throw… at four health left after being hit by three super effective attacks. The most important battle of her life. Buguitar jumped into the air and put her two scythes together she crashed down onto the Geodude creating a small dent. Geodude was down. Buguitar gasped in surprise, she OHKOed a pokemon who had a type advantage over her. Buguitar let out a smile, she felt amazing… and then she remembered her injuries.
“Okay Buguitar I've got the next pokemon. … Ow…” Wish stepped on a sharp rock. A large towering snake of rocks peered down at the tiny star pokemon. Wish knew he could do this. Onix let out a powerful screech. Wish began to sing “Take a melody, simple as can be.” However Onix let out another earsplitting screech that drowned out the song. Onix hurled a rock at Wish, chipping Wish's health down to 9. Wish managed to catch the rock and hurled it back at Onix, but it barley did anything. Wish knew what he had to do. A single tear fell from Wish's eye. Wish started chanting something. A force lifted the super potion from Shiny's bag and used it on Buguitar. “I believe in you.” Wish said to Buguiar as a rock hurled into Wish. Wish laid there, fainted.
“Wish…” Buguitar was in tears. He used his turn to let Buguitar go on, knowing he would faint in the process. “Your… Going down!” Buguitar said through tears. Buguitar gathered her sadness… and rage! Onix let out an screech, and then threw a rock at Buguitar. Buguitar smashed her scythe into the Onix's neck. Her pure range was enough to one shot the Onix. Buguitar could feel herself getting stronger as she leveled up.
“Think you can take down Cranidos like you did to my other pokemon earlier? Your at your last pokemon, and used up your last super potion.” Asked Roark.
"We sure can, and will, try.“ Shiny responded wishing she still had a super potion left. ”For Wish."
“FOR WISH!” Buguitar shouted in her sadened fury. Shiny began by healing Buguitar with a potion. Craniados began by pursuiting Buguitar in a ram. It did almost as much damage as the potion healed. Shiny looked down, she knew how this was going to end. Buguitar went in and bit Craniados's neck draining some of his blood. Craniados ramed into Buguitar again. Buguitar began gathering her rage, her sadness, her wanting to avenge Wish, and most of all her will to win this battle. This was painful for Shiny to watch. She began tearing up. Craniados ramed it's thick blue skull into Buguitar's chest, crushing her against the wall.

“Good job Buguitar. Thank you for trying your best.”

This is one of the hardest times in the game. I only have two pokemon both of switch don't have any normally effective moves to rock times, barring bide and a lucky copycat. It also doesn't help that Buguitar is weak to rock type moves. Yes I did lose to Roark, I think it is more interesting from a story prospective as instead of always winning everything Shiny also loses sometimes. Anyway I feel like from now on having these overall things with some statists

Buguitar is finally my MVP in this scramble. She can attack reliably and bide actually does something to rock types. As for the gym I could teach her rocksmash, however the move deleter isn't until much latter in the game and by then rock smash would probably become a burden.

Ah Wish, how the mighty has fallen. Wish was my powerhouse until disobedience got in the way. Wish just takes so many turns not doing what I want him to and it is frustrating. Wish can't tank everything like he used to. All the times he does nothing really do give foes enough time to seriously injure or faint Wish before he does something useful. The gym leader's pokemon are rock types in which pound and copycat only to 1 to 3 damage. While he did have metronome using memento and fainting from it scared Wish enough that he does not want to use the move again, even though it could come in handy it's just to risky for Wish to feel safe using it. As you can tell I care much more about flavor in this scramble that practicality seeing the new rules I add, and the long detailed posts I make for updates. Though if Wish gets magical leaf he may be able to sweep the gym, if he can even use the move in the first place that is.

Ullar on Smogon gave me the last Scramblemon I need, Petra the Carnivine. I edited in her restrictions onto the first post as Scratch does not have hide boxes. Anyway here is the 7th chapter of my shiny scramble.

Shiny Scramble, Chapter 7, The Stone that Keeps Rolling
"So your telling me we lost?“ Buguitar's eye twitched. She was full of rage.
”Yeah… We were so close to. Looking back if you used bide you probably could of won." Said Shiny.
“You got to be kidding me. So Wish's heroic sacrifice and our only super potion was all for nothing!”
"I knew I would have needed it later…" Shiny muttered.
“It's not for nothing. You got some experience. Besides so what if we lost once? There is always next time! And for sure we'll get them next time!”
"Yeah. I've bought 3 more potions for our next attempt, even if we may need the money used to buy them later." Said Shiny.
“But how are we going to win.”
“Well if we believe in our selfs we can win! Together we can be strong, in the real way!” Wish broke out into song.
“Alright! It's getting kind of late so let's challenge the gym again first thing tomorrow.” Shiny said.
“How are we even going to win with nothing but a level's change. Shouldn't we learn some super effective moves first? Don't you have the HM for rock smash Shiny? Can I learn it?”
“But Buguitar you might need that move slot for something later.” Shiny answered, “If you learn it you can't forget it until who knows how long.”
“Fine… Let's challenge the gym again, tomorrow.”
“Don't worry Buguitar I've got your back! Together we got this for sure tomorrow.” Then everyone went to bed.

Buguitar laid awake waiting for everyone else to go to sleep. Buguitar knew they were destined for failure tomorrow at their current state. She looked at Wish, he was so cute when he slept. He was so confident about winning and yet he couldn't do anything but scratch damage to Roark's pokemon. Buguitar loved his encouraging attitude but knew that the victory that he so deeply believed in was simply not true. Buguitar remembered Wish's heroic sacrifice believing Buguitar could finish Roark off, and she failed him. No matter how much he believed and Buguitar liked him he was utterly useless in battle, so much for have your back. Wait. He kept saying together. Did he really mean that he would withstand attacks while Buguitar was healed? No Buguitar didn't want Wish to go through that again. He's too nice to just keep fainting over and over again just so Buguitar could go on. He believed in her. Buguitar had to be strong, for Wish.
Buguitar looked at Shiny. What a useless trainer. She'll be sooner to let one of them faint than heal them. What if we need it later? She kept saying. If one of them didn't take a potion from her bag they would have surely lost. Will later ever come if she doesn't take care of now? Buguitar rummaged through Shiny's bag. She held up a brown disk. "Wish for us I'll be strong, in the Real way.“

”Okay guys good morning. Is everyone ready to rechallenge Roark?" Shiny asked.
“Yep! We can do this together!”
Buguitar gave a smug smile.

Shiny walked into the gym and faced Roark. “We're ready for round two.”
“Very well. Show me the toughness of your Pokemon!” He said sending out a Geodude.
Shiny wasted a turn. Geodude scattered a hundred pointed stones all over the place. “Grrrooowl” a hard rock hit Buguitar in the chest. Buguitar began gathering her want for revenge… two hard rocks were hurled at Buguitar. Buguitar ran into the Geodude and slammed her scythes their head into with all her might scoring a OHKO. Buguitar was happy with what she was seeing so far.
“Alright Buguitar I'll cover you from the Onix.” Wish hurt his foot on a jagged rock. Shiny began by giving Buguitar a potion. This shocked Buguitar. Shiny giving her a potion? Who was her and what did she do to Shiny, or maybe Buguitar didn't want to find out. Wish was hit by a rock. Shiny reached into her bag and healed Buguitar with another potion. Buguitar wondered who was disguised as Shiny. Wish took another rock to the face. “Don't worry, I'm still good.” The Onix let out an ear piercing screech. Wish started chanting something. “Buguitar, I believe in you!” Wish stepped back.
Buguitar knew that Wish was counting on her, and it felt great and terrifying at the same time. Onix greeted Buguitar with a rock throw. Wish's wish came true and healed Buguitar to 51 health, one more than what those potions did. Buguitar ran in with a Fury Cutter. No it had much more force to it and Onix's defense was lowered.
“Buguitar did you learn rock smash?” Shiny asked.
“Yes I did. Now we can actually beat this gym.”
“But what about later? What if you wanted that move slot for something else?”
“What about now? We need to win this.” Buguitar began gathering her rage… Two rocks were hurled at Buguitar. One smacked her in the head while the other crashed beside her. Buguitar leaped onto the Onix and smashed her scythes into them, fainting the Onix. Buguitar smiled. So far, so good.
“Okay Buguitar I got Cranidos.” Buguitar nervously glanced at Wish's 11 health remaining. Shiny got out a potion and healed Wish. “Thank you!” Cranidos smashed it's head into Wish leaving just 8 health remaining. Shiny met Wish's eyes and they nodded their head in agreement. Shiny used her final potion, on Buguitar. “I believe in yo–” Cranidos slammed into Wish from behind.
“No… no, no, no, Wish!” Buguitar went into battle. Buguitar began gathering her will for revenge… Critical Pursuit… Leer… Strike! Buguitar slammed into Cranidos with all of her might. Cranidos hung on with one health left ran into Buguitar and Buguitar fainted…

Shiny lost again…

“Are you guys okay?” Shiny asked her pokemon.
“Yep I'm great!”
“We lost… again…” Buguitar was in tears.
“Don't worry Buguitar we'll get them next time!”
“That's what you keep on saying. I try my hardest… You make a heroic sacrifice… But we still lose.”'
“But that doesn't mean we should give up. Roark may beat us over and over again, but he will only truly win if we give up. As long as we keep trying one day we will beat him!”
“But I'm sick and tired of losing. It's terrible trying your hardest, seeing you get hurt in a self sacrifice and still having your foe hold victory an inch above you.”
“Then we'll train.” Both of Shiny's Pokemon looked at her, “If you both go up a few levels then surly you'll win next time, right?”
“But we are out of potions and only have enough money for one more. We used 4 potions last time not one.”
“I still have a repel and stardust to sell,” Shiny added, “Both of those together is enough for 3 more.”
“Yeah! And Buguitar no matter how many times we lose, we'll still be by your side. Besides the harder Roark makes it for us to beat him, it will just make the feeling of actually beating him feel more sweet.”
Buguitar wiped away a tear. “Alright… Let's train.”

The trio wandered around Oreburgh city. A nice girl gave Shiny a dusk ball. A man kept blocking the entrance to a house. Yes knowing about vents is that important. Another man said, “The view is good from up here but it's pain going out. I wish you could show me a Zubat.”
“You mean a Pokemon like this?” Shiny held your typical shiny Zubat, nothing much.
“Wow that's cool… It's so cute… And it's even green! This is motivating me to go out and catch some pokemon! Have this as a token of my thanks!” The man gave Shiny a heal ball.
Shiny walked around more and a boy gave Wish a Greatball for having shining eyes.

The trio went to route 207 to train. They encountered a Geodude, Geodude, Machop, found a pokeball, Geodude, Machop, Geodude, Zubat, Geodude, Shiny Geodude, Geodude, Machop, Caught a Shiny Machop and named it Ridge, Geodude, Shiny Geodude, Geodude, Shiny Geodude, Geodude, Kricketot, Shiny Zubat, Shiny Geodude, Geodude, Zubat, Geodude and Shiny Zubat. Shiny slowly grew annoyed at how Wish would drag out battles doing nothing or using the wrong move. After all of that Buguitar was level 17 and Wish was level 16. Wish had learned Magical leaf, a super effective attack against Roark. “Alright guys, I think we're ready.”

With four potions in her bag Shiny re-entered the gym. Shiny marched to the gym leader determined to win this time. “Roark! I challenge you to another rematch!”
“Alright. Show me the toughness of your pokemon!” He sent out his Geodude.
Shiny wasted a turn. The Geodude scattered another hundred pointed stones all over the battle field. That must be a pain for the janitor to clean up. Buguitar let out a ferocious growl. Buguitar was hit by a hard rock but she didn't care. Buguitar began gathering her determination to win this fight… Her rage grew as two rocks hit her, just the motivator she needed. Buguitar jumped into the air and smashed her two scythes into the Geodude. It was a OHKO. Buguitar knew this was only the beginning.
“Alright Buguitar. I think I can handle the Onix this time!” Shiny and Wish knew the plan. Shiny began by giving Buguitar a potion. Wish endured a critical rock throw. Shiny nervously gave Buguitar another potion healing her to full health. Onix used screech. Wish was glad not to take damage. Wish started chanting something. Onix let out another ear piercing screech. After taking a third screech Wish raised his stubs. Leaves surrounded Wish that were coated in different colored auras. The leaves flew towards Onix. It was to much to take and Onix went down. “Yay! I did it!” Wish's wish had came true, and it healed him to full health.
Buguitar felt great. She was at full health. Wish was at full health and not fainted. Only the dreaded Cranidos was left. For the first time Buguitar truly believed she could win this fight. “I've got this!” Buguitar gathered her determination to win… Pursuit… Leer… Strike! Buguitar joyously ran in and slammed Cranidos with her Scythe. Cranidos rammed into Buguitar with a headbutt. Buguitar was at only 12 health left. Another hit could faint her. But she still had hope, even if she fainted Wish could finish Cranidos off. Buguitar rock smashed her scythe into Cranidos. Buguitar's jaw dropped. She beat Cranidos. No one fainted in this battle. She stared at her scythe in amazement.
“WE WON! WOOT!” Shiny yelled.
“Shiny! Buguitar! We finally did it!. This is great!” Wish gave the cutest little smile.
Buguitar had an enormous grin. “Oh… my… Arceus, was that battle was hard! I can't believe we did it!”
"W-what? That can't be. My Buffed up Pokemon…“ Roark said. ”This is embarrassing… I went and lost to a trainer who didn't have a single Gym Badge…“
”Are you not the first gym?“ Shiny asked. ”Doesn't this happen all the time? If I were you I would be more embarrassed at losing to that kid with a level 5 Bidoof and Starly.“
”But that's tough.“ Roark said. ” You were strong, and I was weak. That's all there is. According to Pokemon League rules, I have to give you our Gym Badge since you've beaten me, the Leader. Here's your official Pokemon League Coal Badge.“
”Whoa… It's so badge like, and shiny…“ Shiny looked at the badge in awe.
”Having that Coal Badge means your Pokemon can now use the hidden move Rock Smash outside of battle. You should take this, too.“ Roark handed Shiny Tm76, ”That contains the move Stealth Rock. It's a move that inflicts damage on foes that switch into battle. Incidentally, a TM will teach it's move to a pokemon instantly. But a TM will break when you use it, so make certain you want a pokemon to learn that move."
“Wow. Thank you Roark!”
“So, um… What now?”
“I guess going to Eterna city.” Shiny answered.

I finally beat Roark. Well that was the hardest getting the first badge has ever been for me in a Pokemon game. Everything after this should be easier seeing as I'll get the rest of my scramblemons on my team. This is probably one of the hardest points of the game, and probably won't get harder until either Knave's solo of Iron island, Hot Air's solo of Fantina or the elite 4 and champion.

Still the MVP of my team. Rock smash and Bide are both really useful. Still what convinced me to teach rock smash to Buguitar was that it was in Buguitar's character to do so. Buguitar's characteristic is hates to lose after all.

Too easy and too hard options
Disobedience is the bane of Wish's existence. Wish spends much of his time not doing anything or the wrong move and it is frustrating. It has come to the point where fighting wild pokemon is a pain. I replaced sing with magical leaf because Buguitar learns sing next level. Just who's bright idea was it to set the level for disobedience so low. I'm serious Roark's own pokemon wouldn't listen to him if they were traded to him and he had his own badge, that is how bad it is.

Shiny Scramble, Chapter 8, Misunderstanding the Art of the Scramble
Having won their first gym badge, the trio was causally heading out of Oreburgh city. And then Barry ran into Shiny.
Shiny fell down, “Ow!” Shiny got up, “What do you want this time Barry?”
“Shiny? are you okay?”
Shiny:“Don't worry I'm fine Wish.”
"He didn't even make it look like a battling accident.“ Buguitar muttered under her breath, wanting to make a battling ‘accident’ happen.
Barry:”Whoops! Shiny! You got the Gym Badge, huh?“
Shiny:”Yep! Only took three tries.“
Barry:”Eterna City is the next place with a Gym that gives away Badges, right?“
Shiny:”If nothing changed since trainer school taught us where all of the gyms were and now then it should be.“
Barry:”So, yeah, I went to Route 207 but you can't go there without a bicycle. I made my team battle and toughened them up, so it wasn't a waste.“
Shiny:”We also did that.“
Barry:”So, I'm going back to Jubilife city. Next stop, the Eterna gym badge! Ten seconds before I dash!“ Shiny and Wish jumped out of the way. Buguitar on the other hand, ”Nine, bah who has time to count." Barry dashed ahead and tripped on Buguitar's foot. Barry stumbled forward but caught himself before falling, and continued to rush forward.
“Ow my foot!” It was only minor pain but Buguitar had to cover up her tracks.
“Buguitar are you okay?”
“I, I think so. Barry dashed forward before I could get out of the way and wow, that was painful. But I think I'm good to keep going.”
Shiny:“That's good. Okay we're off to slowly get to Eterna city, how long could that take?”

The trio entered Oreburgh gate. “Okay so Roark said we can use rock smash to break rocks now. Buguitar why don't you test it out on that rock right there?” Shiny said.
“Okay.” Buguitar smashed her scythe into the rock. Nothing eventful happened.
“Well that was a disappointment…” Shiny said. The trio continued on Oreburgh gate. A Geodude appeared and Buguitar despite being useless against rock types before, was able to one shot it with rock smash after a growl. This felt great to Buguitar. The trio were finally able to head north in the gate. Buguitar cleared the rocks away and they headed into the first basement floor after running from a Zubat. Shiny found TM flash on the ground. It felt great to finally have more access to the gate. After running from a Zubat the trio came across some water, this stopped them from going deeper in. After running form another Zubat Shiny found some stardust. After beating a Geodude the trio made it out of the gate. Buguitar even leveled up!
After beating a Shinx, the trio went to Jublife city, healed, then headed towards route 204. They saw Lucas, Rowan and two astronaut wantabes blocking the way.
Rowan:“Ah, Shiny. Impeccable timing as always.”
“Hi Mr.Rowan! Hi Lucas! Hi two, astronauts!?”
Shiny:“What is it Rowan?”
Rowan:“These miscreants are babbling utter nonsense that I just can't stomach.”
“Micreants? What did they do?”
Rowan:“Show them some manners, if you will.”
Shiny:“Wait what did they even say in the first place?”
Mystery man:“Oh, Professor Pokemon, must you be so difficult? We are approaching you strictly as businessmen.”
Shiny:“I don't see why I should battle some random dudes just because they are trying to scam you into buying some cheap space junk.”
Mystery man:“All you must do is provide us with all your research findings. In return we'll refrain from causing massive damage to your assistant.”
“What no!? You can't hurt Lucas. I won't let you.”
Shiny:“Are you serious? Are you seriously threatening to do something obviously evil just for something you can probably find online? Okay that just makes me want to fight you now.”
Lucas:“Shiny! Join me and battle these guys!”
Shiny:“With Pleasure.”
“Yeah! If you want to hurt Lucas, your going to have to go through me first.”
The two men sent out a Wurmple and a Zubat. Lucas sent out his Chimchar. Shiny spoke, “Alright first thing's first.” Shiny threw a pokeball at the Zubat.
Lucas:“Shiny what are you doing? You know that you can't catch other trainer's pokemon right?”
Shiny:“Yep I know.”
“Kindness is a virtue so we are giving our foes a chance to.”
Lucas had a terribly confused look on his face. “Alright Chimchar I guess you should use ember on Wurmple.” Wurmple's eyes widened in fear as he heard the move. A wall of flames burned his face. Wurmple fainted. Sudden pain hit Chimchar in the back of the head as Zubat hit it.
“Okay Buguitar it's your turn!” Wish and Buguitar switched places.
Lucas:“Can't Wish just keep fighting?” Lucas asked.
“Well you see humility is a virtue and every one should share the spotlight in battles.”
“Scratch.” Lucas muttered becoming more and more confused at Shiny's weird battling style. Teeth hit claws.
Buguitar went to growl. But there was something wrong. Buguitar couldn't growl, instead she felt something else, like it was, a new move! Buguitar clumsily began to sing, “Take a melody, simple as it can be. Give it a sweet melody and um words. Raise your voice, oh how love grows strong today. Sing a song about, love oh love.” The Zubat feel asleep. It was cute, and then flames scattered on it. Buguitar poked the Zubat, and it fainted.
“Buguitar that song was beautiful!” Wish grew to level 17.
“Thanks.” Buguitar blushed and rubbed her scythe.
Grunts:“How is this maddness possible? Us grunts losing to children? Time to retreat… Mission failed.”
Shiny:“Well now at least you admit to being grunts. Wait grunts? Does this mean?”
Grunt:“We have no other option. This won't be the last time you hear the name team Galactic! Retreat smoke bomb, away!” The grunt threw a white ball to the ground, it did nothing. “Um, retreat running, away!” Both grunts ran away.
Rowan:“That lot… They called themselves team Galactic.”
Shiny:“Wait team Galactic? Do they dare challenge team Skull?”
Lucas:“What's team Skull?”
Shiny:“Oh it's this awesome team of people I want to join. They protect other regions from having to face the dreaded island challenge.”
Lucas:“What's an island chal-”
Rowan interrupted him, “When Pokemon evolve, they seem to release some type of energy… However, I believe that it's a mystic power far beyond our control. Team Galactic seems to be trying to use that power for something.”
Shiny:“For something like mega evolution? I think they came to the wrong region for that. Only Kalos and Hoenn have mega evolution related junk happen in them, or at least according to the internet they do.”
“What's mega evolution?”
Shiny:“Well it's when a pokemon goes all evolutiony but only temporary.”
Buguitar wondered, was her evolution mega evolution? Now that Buguitar had gotten used to it she didn't really want to go back to being a Kricketot. But mega evolution didn't happen in Sinnoh according to Shiny, that relieved Buguitar a little.
Rowan:“Anyway, Lucas, well done! You battled quite capably. You almost didn't need Shiny's help with her weird, rituals.”
“They're virtues.”
Rowan:“Still it's the site of you trainers and pokemon battling together… I made the right decision entrusting you both with a Pokedex!”
Lucas:“Shiny did you know about this?”
Shiny:“About what?”
Lucas:“The professor studies about the evolution of Pokemon, too. According to his research, 90% of all Pokemon are somehow tied to evolution! I guess that means some Pokemon undergo weird evolutions. So, Shiny… Let's keep working on our Pokedex project for the prof!”
Shiny:“Yeah! I'll help with the shinydex.”
“Goodbye Lucas! Goodbye Rowan!” They both walked away.

Suddenly a weird man came up to Shiny. “Oh, that was very good! Nicely done! Truly excellent!”
Shiny:“Who are you?”
Man:“I beg your pardon, I'm from Jubilife TV! I'd like you to have something for letting me see that smashing battle!” The man gave Shiny the fashion case. “Contained within that Fashion Case… You will find a whole spectrum of chic Accessories and tasteful Backdrops. Dress up pokemon and watch their appeal grow!”
“Thank you kind sir!”
Shiny:“Thanks but why? What does this have to do with battling?”
Man:“And, right now the TV station is offering it's facilities so visitors can dress up their pokemon! That's why!”
Shiny:“I don't get the correlation but thanks man.”
Man:“There are prize giveaways too! Please do vistit our TV station!”
Shiny“Alright, I guess we will.” And just like that, the man walked away.

The trio headed to the Poketch company. “Now I'm pretty sure someone said something about a new thing when I get a badge.” Shiny said to herself. The owner gave Shiny the memo pad app. Shiny promptly poorly drew a skull and cross bones with “Team Skull rulez” on it.
“Ooo is that a drawing pad?”
“Yep,” Shiny answered, she cleared the screen. “Do you want to try?”
“Yeah!” Wish drew even more poorly Shiny Buguitar and himself together. "Wow that was fun! Do you want to try Buguitar.
“No thank you.”

The trio exited and building and went to the Jubilife TV station. There was a girl singing karaoke. “Hi my name is Ariel. I want to be more like Pikachu. Will you battle me?”
“Sure.” Shiny answered.
“Alright, Pikachu all the way!” Somewhere far away a Misdreavus sensed something.
Wish easily beat Pikachu after wasted turns of disobedience, attraction, and both sides being paralyzed.
Buguitar was up against another Pikachu. She was going to start the battle with sing, but the song she sung last time, just didn't feel right. That song, it was Wish's song. Buguitar felt like she had to find her own song. She thought about the words, static electricity covering her body ignoring any hits she took, then began to sing “You and I were born,” that was all she needed for Pikachu to fall asleep. Buguitar easily beat the Pikachu in 2 hits after that. Buguitar put her head onto her scythes, embarrassed at how awkward the first line sounded without the context of the second.

New rule! Buguitar must sing the entirety to Kiseki (the X&Y credits song) before reaching the elite 4 at one line per use of sing, according to the way it was formatted on Bulbapedia. So in other words, 38 times.

Shiny healed her Pokemon then headed back to the building. Some man gave Shiny a Piplup mask. Suddenly a man asked “Will you tell me your opinion on TV?”
“Well usually the shows don't have much information on them are are rather boring. So overall 7.8/10, to much water, not enough skull.” Shiny answered.
“Please reduce your answer to two words from this list.” The man replied.
“What this is a ripoff!” Shiny said, “I guess, REGRET WATER, then? I don't see why all of the options on this list are in all caps though.”
“Interesting,” the man said, “What feedback can you give me about TV?”
“Okay this is to much to just chose from this list. Everything from now on will just be, NO WAY, since I don't see just NO on the list.” Shiny answered.
“Shiny you should answer these honestly.”
“You try answering by picking two words from this list where the person's computer had their caps lock stuck in the on position.”
“Hm, Let's see…” Wish started looking through the available answers.
“Moving along Wish.”

The trio looked around the building. Shiny checked her records and the pokemon defeated record was exactly 100. On the second floor a man said“Ooh, your Pokemon are so very charming.”
“Why thank you!”
The man continued, “They're so charming I will even hang a picture of one right beside me! Dress up your Pokemon and I'll take a photo when your done! Doesn't that sound great.”
“Buguitar you should be the one he hangs a picture of on the wall.”
“No, you should be the one that gets their picture taken.”
“Are you sure Buguitar?”
“Yes, really. I insist.”
Wish and Buguitar began dressing up the best they could with only starting accessories. In the end the results were, meh. Especially with the camera Shiny lent the man to take the Photos with. Shiny looked at the photos, “This is why I almost never use my camera for things.”


After that the trio participated in the lottery. They won nothing. The trio finally headed towards route 204 at night. They entered Ravaged Path. They encountered some rocks. “Not this time knee high rocks with gaps between them. This time we got Buguitar. And she's going to smash you!” Shiny said.
“Shiny you know those rocks aren't alive, right?”
“Yeah I know. It just feels good to finally be able to pass these rocks, so first let's head to the left.” Shiny said. They ran from a Zubat and picked up TM39, rock tomb, on the left side. The rest of the way was blocked by water. The trio went to the right and beat a Geodude. Buguitar sung “right here in the same world.” and KOed it.

Taylor:“Let's have a battle while smelling the aroma of flowers!”
“For this one brief life,” Buguitar sang to Budew, Cherrubi was switched in and Buguitar OHKOed it.
Wish 2HKOed the Budew.
Taylor:“Even though I lost, I'm not angry because it smells so nice.”

The trio continued down route 204. Shiny found an awakening.
Brandon: “Say, listen. What's your opinion on bug Pokemon?” He sent out a Kricketot. “we're beneath the same sky.” Buguitar sang, she 2HKOed Kricketot. Buguitar smiled at the fact that after years of being called chalkboard, she was finally stronger than Kricketots, now to find those Kricketot she knew.
Wish was up next. He fell asleep mid battle. “Wish wake up!” Shiny shouted. Wish stayed asleep, not that the Wurmple he was facing was actually a threat or anything. “Come on Wish wake up.” It was 30 minutes past the young pokemon's bed time. After a while the little star pokemon woke up, “Huh what? Wait I'm still in the middle of a battle! Sorry, yawn, Shiny?.” Wish 2HKOed the Wurmple after that. “I'm not going to be able to explain the charms of bug pokemon this way.” Brandon said ignoring Buguitar.

“It's getting late. I'm so, yawn, tired. I think we should go to sleep soon, yawn.”
“Alright Wish,” replied Shiny, “I think there's a town up ahead. Let's rest there.”

Suddenly twins challenged Shiny to a battle. “We can one-shot this trainer, can't we Liz?” said Liv. “We're the strongest in our class!” Said Liz.
“If you two gang up on others no wonder, though I don't think you'll have much ease beating Wish and Buguitar.” said Shiny.
Wish and Buguitar were out in a battle together. In perfect union the two Pachirisu disappeared. They reappeared slamming into both of Shiny's pokemon. Buguitar was in battle with Wish. She blushed. She just had to impress Wish. Leaves with different colored auras surrounded Wish. An ambush of quick attacks made Wish lose his focus.
“Leave Wish alone!” She began to sing, “The great flow of time.” Buguitar looked over to Wish, he looked focused on the battle. Buguitar prepared Rock smash as Pachirisu ran into the move in it's own attacking attempt. The tiny star jumped on the electric squirrel. Pachirisu rushed forward unsuspecting of Buguitar's jaws, and fainted. “Wow, good job Buguitar!” Wish cheered as he leveled up. Buguitar's cheeks looked like a normal Kricketune's. Leaves surrounded in auras cut away at the sleeping Pachirisu.
A stub lifted into the air, it jolted down at the sudden presence at Wish's chest. A scythe slammed into the middle of the Pachirisu causing it to faint. Buguitar felt power flow through her as she leveled up.
Liz:“I wish I could be strong like you when I get bigger.”

The trio continued forward. Shiny picked up TM09, Bullet Seed. The trio made it. Floaroma town was covered in peacefully swaying yellow and blue flowers. A soothing song echoed throughout the town.
“It's, so, peaceful. So beautiful…” Muttered Wish. His eyes closed.
“Aw, little guy, we're going to bed soon.” Shiny said. She began to carry Wish. They entered the pokemon center. Shiny gently placed Wish on a cushion. Shiny laid down on a couch and fell asleep.

Team So Far
Alright this was a very easy chapter. Most things were OHKOed or 2HKOed. The hardest part was honestly Wish's disobedience wasting so many turns. Curse you Roark, why did you make me grind so much that everything after your gym is a breeze. Still here you got to see why I rarely take screen shots, my 3DS camera is terrible. Hot Air should have some trouble with the rest of the area when I get her, right? Right?

Buguitar is still my MVP. She is reliable and OHKOs or 2HKOs almost everything. I added an extra rule to her because I though it would be cool, but then I realized that she could very easily do that normally. Still while ten base power was a disappointment, 40 sure isn't (for now at least.)

Ah Wish, you are such a victim to a lack of play testing. My once MVP sitting firmly as LVP because of it. Still was it just me or did Wish start only being able to 2HKO things Buguitar could OHKO? Poor little guy. It just stresses me to use Wish knowing that at any moment Wish could take many turns in a row not doing anything or doing the wrong thing. Still falling asleep mid battle due to it is a new one. Obedience can't come soon enough.

I was looking at all of my pokemon and I noticed Buguitar's was out of the style of the rest of the challenges. I re-wrote her challenge to make it fit more in line with everyone else's.

Bugutar the Kricketot from Auroura_Wolf, modified by Muellly
Buguitar has always been a rather shy pokemon. Cast out and called Chalkboard by all of the other Kricketots for her horrible singing voice. This all changed when she met Wish. For once someone complimented her singing voice. This has encouraged Buguitar to become a better musician and pokemon.

Buguitar must frequently practice using her voice. Every battle Buguitar participates in she must use at least one sound based move. Buguitar wants to practice all kinds of sounds so she must learn all sound based moves she gets a chance to learn. Due to his encouraging nature Buguitar has grown a crush on Wish. Because of this Buguitar will switch in whenever Wish faints to try to avenge him. Buguitar also wants to impress Wish. If she is in a double battle with Wish she must use sing to try to impress him.

Buguitar began to grow over time. She learned sing, and began to sing her own song. Buguitar must sing the entirety to Kiseki (the X&Y credits song) before reaching the elite 4 at one line per use of sing, according to the way it was formatted on Bulbapedia. So in other words, 38 times.(As of chapter 8). Buguitar also hates to lose. Whenever she faints she becomes so frustrated that she wants to solo the next 5 pokemon you encounter(unless it's someone else's solo), to calm down.(As of chapter 9)

And with that I think it's time to change the first post. It's a bit cluttered and has the links to the chapters last and outdated rules to giving me a pokemon first. I'm just going to quote the old first post here for historic reasons.

Um okay that was short. Anyway a scramble works by someone being told which 6 pokemon they will use on their playthough and rules the Pokemon must abide by. Examples of how this looks like can be found in this post I made on Pokefarm Q. Anyway the rules for giving me a Pokemon are as follows:

• I must get a cute charm Pokemon. This will be the only Pokemon on my team that isn't shiny. It can be any Pokemon that gets cute charm in gen 4 but Skitty as I do not have access to them. (So Cleffa line, Jigglypuff line and Lopbuny)
  
• The Pokemon must be able to be both genders, I will have my entire team sans the cute charm Pokemon be shiny.
  
• Please nothing like no evolution caterpie or anti agent from the post with examples earlier. I am looking for something easier than a NFE Jigglypuff and Micheno run I did, or in other words Pokemon that need healing after facing 2 Pokemon 10 levels lower than them. Also please nothing frustrating such as it needs to be raining, and the foe needs to be confused and paralyzed before you can attack.
  
• No X Pokemon must always lead. I need my cute charm Pokemon to be first or it destroys the shiny part of this playthrough. Along with that no pokemon must solo all pokemon of x type.
  
• Any Pokemon other than my cute charm Pokemon must be able to be caught in the wild.
  
• Though this isn't a rule please consider that the shiny rate via this method is about 20% before giving me pokemon with low catch rates
  
• Please be creative. I do not want a Pokemon that is just solo 7 gym leaders or has to use X move at the start of every battle.
  
• I'll prefer if the Pokemon had a backstory to it.
  
• I want to be able to use two pokemon before the first gym. This means my cute charm pokemon + one other Pokemon. I will chose them from the Pokemon I am given before I start the playthrough(or maybe more if more people give me Pokemon, but that isn't likely). After that I will allow people to submit Pokemon to use until I beat the first gym, then I will finalize the team I will be using for this playthrough. The reason for this is that I want to start my playthrough as soon as possible and the time it takes for me to get to beat the first gym will hopefully give people enough time to give me the other 4 pokemon. I am posting this on multiple sites so if I manage to get more pokemon than I have room for on my team I will chose the more creative pokemon to use.
  

Other notes: My cute charm Pokemon will be a guy and the rest of my team will be girls. I can trade over any TM from my Diamond game if you want to give me a scramblemon that knows a TM move right off the bat for the sake of the challenge. I have pokemon Emerald so I can catch pokemon that can be obtained via GBA insertion with Emerald.

Also I think I should explain what I am looking for in these scramblemons. I am looking for creative scramblemons to constantly shake up my experience. You know, stuff such as must switch after every 3 turns, act like the battle style is always set for this pokemon and other non-switching based things. The idea of a Pokemon who's only challenge is just do x to evolve or solo x seems boring to me as after you do those things the scramble part of the mon goes away. I want to roleplay a lot in this scramble so pokemon with backstories are definitely preferred. Also I hope not to get a team with a ton of solos for major trainers/battles. I want to use my team for most of the game, not just a single pokemon.

Wish the Cleffa from Hitmonleet on Smogon (Yes, my username on Smogon is ACottontail)
ACottontail, take this Cleffa (Recommended Name: Wish).

Sensing your intense desires for a Cute Charm pokemon, this altruistic Cleffa has come to help you and your run. It isn't required, but you should probably breed this one with Wish. It isn't necessary for the scramblemon, but from a flavor-based perspective, it is appropriate.

Wish's goal in life is to improve the lives of others, including yours, and to try to make them better people. As such, when you obtain Wish, select at least one of the following Virtues. These restrictions affect the entire party, so be warned. These also have a point value assigned to each. Be sure to remember the point value total and the number of Virtues you take. The Virtues are as follows:

• Chastity (4 Points): Abstain from your desires. You may not use items on your pokemon. Held items are fine, but you cannot use any items on them, such as potions or X items.
  
• Temperance (2 Points): Everything in moderation. None of your pokemon may use the same move twice in a row.
  
• Charity (2 Points): Give freely to others. You must immediately switch out a pokemon once it drops to yellow or below, and you must heal it as soon as possible.
  
• Dilligence (8 Points!): The main story always comes first! You may never buy items from stores (excluding pokeballs) or heal using Pokémon Centers.
  
• Patience (4 Points): You believe that rushing in is a mistake. Your pokemon cannot use any directly offensive moves without a buff (i.e. Boosted stats, Safeguard, weather and a weather ability, etc).
  
• Kindness (4 Points): Your foes should have a chance too. You must waste the first turn of any trainer battle (trying to run, using a pokeball, etc).
  
• Humility (2 Points): Everybody shares the spotlight. Excluding solos, after every enemy pokemon defeated, you must switch to a different pokemon.
  

Wish wants for the other members of the party to succeed, moreso than themselves. Two of Wish's teammates must have evolved, and at least 4 points worth of Virtues must be taken before they can be evolved into Clefairy. All of Wish's teammates must evolve and +6 points of Virtues must be taken to evolve into Clefable.

Wish takes great pride in being supportive of others. Wish must always have at least 2 status moves (as indicated by the symbols).

Finally, throughout the course of your journey, Wish fears that they have failed in their goal, and that the others haven't improved. This comes to a head at Mount Coronet. After Spear Pillar, if you have less than 8 points worth of Virtues, you must box/release Wish. You may not replace Wish with a different pokemon.

Too hard? Virtues aren't required, and the limiting values are dropped by 2 each.
Too easy? Whenever a pokemon faints, you must swap Wish in and have them solo the mon that fainted it.
STILL too easy? Solo the Cyrus fights.
If you insist on using Igglybuff as your cute charmer, you can consider this an after-Roark mon instead.

My self imposed rules:Buguitar must use at least one sound based move every battle she participates in.
Due to Wish's kindness Buguitar has growing a crush on him. Whenever she is in a double battle with him she must use Sing or the closest thing if she does not know sing to try to impress Wish. Whenever Wish faints Buguitar must switch in to try to avenge him.

Hot Air has always wanted to be the fairest ghost type of them all. She has constantly asked her mirror who the fairest ghost type of them all was. The mirror would always answer with Fantina's Drifblim. To be the fairest ghost type Hot Air decided to only use ghost type moves, however because mono typing her moves is stupid and would leave her open to normal types, she settled for only using moves that start with the letter G,H,O,S and T. She believes that switching while the other trainer switches is only for beginners so she must act like the switch style is always set. She believes that relying on healing items is cheap so she may only use one item between trips to the pokemon center.

Because she is the trying to be fairest ghost she must prove herself. If a ghost type ever faints one of the Pokemon on the team she must solo it to prove herself. She also needs some awards to show off to prove herself. Because ghosts are beautiful and cool Hot Air must win both the cool and beauty contests and one of them in super rank to evolve.

The fairest ghost type of them all is Fantina's Drifloon according the mirror. Because of this Hot Air must solo Fantina to prove she is the fairest ghost type of them all. A NFE pokemon is obviously less fair than an evolved pokemon so she must be a Drifblim to solo Fantina. After soloing Fantina Hot Air comes to trust her trainers judgement a little more. She may use two healing items between pokemon centers after soloing Fantina. Members on her own team could be a threat to her fairness. Hot Air can never have a ghost type switch into her.

Knave the Croagunk from Hitmonleet on smogon
Alright, since you said you wanted me to give you another one, for an after-Roark mon, take Knave the Croagunk.

Knave is a bitter and misanthropic pokemon with an unfortunate case of kleptomania. Because of this, they refuse to help others or be helped by others. You cannot use items on Knave, and you can't switch Knave in or out unless one of your mons/Knave has fainted. While kleptomaniacs commonly steal physical objects, Knave instead has decided to plagiarize your other mons. When you obtain Knave, and every gym after that, generate a random number between 1 and 5. Until after the next gym, Knave takes all possible restrictions of the mon in your scramblelist in that spot (ignoring Knave). Also, you must give Knave Snatch ASAP and never forget it. You can evolve Knave whenever, HOWEVER, you can alternatively have them solo Iron Island first.

• IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THE SOLO, then Knave's harsh worldview slowly softens, and they resolve to become a better mon. Change Knave's name to Knight, and replace all previous restrictions with the following:
  
• Knight aspires to not be overly cruel to their fellow mon. Knight may never use super-effective attacks.
  
• Repenting for anyways stealing the gimmicks of your other mons, Knight may not learn any move that any of your mons currently know.
  
• To make up for how little Knight had previously done to help her teammates, she has become somewhat overzealous in her desires to protect them. During any non-solo where Knight is not in the lead, generate a number between 1 and 6. On a 6, you must switch in Knight and solo that mon.
  
• To distance themselves from their previous, villainous self, Knight refuses to stoop to cheap tricks. Knight cannot use Poison or Dark type moves.
  
• Finally, as penance for being so willing to make others suffer, Knight refuses to ever be in the lead, and may only fight by being switched in.
  IF YOU DO NOT DO THE SOLO, then Knave becomes fully sure of their hatred of others, and their bad habits only get worse. Knave now plagiarizes two different mons every gym, and they refuse held items.
  

I may have gone a tad bit overboard with restrictions for this, but I hope it's a mon you'll enjoy.

Dirachi the Misdreavus given by Augie279 on Pokefarm Q, Modified by Muellly
Dirachi has always been quite the trickster. She has also always looked up to Jirachi. So Dirachi always wanted to a Jirachi that granted corrupted wishes. Dirachi must know Stab, and by that she means the Stab of a Dirachi, so Dirachi must always know a Dark and a Psychic type move. Dirachi refuses to accept her ghost type typing and can never use a ghost type move. Dirachi may evolve after learning pain split, a psychic and a dark type move as see is satisfied with knowing her “Stab” moves.

Dirachi is the corrupter of wishes. Because of this whenever she gets a status condition you can not heal the status for anyone in the team except with pokemon centers. Dirachi at level 28 learns pain split, a healing move. When Dirachi learns Pain Split you can never use healing items on her again. Dirachi must learn pain split and if her foe appears to have more health than she has (determined by % of health left) she must use pain split. This only applies once per pokemon faced.

Because she joined on a corrupted wish where someone will punch you in the face and yell “Pikachu all the way!” she must solo all Pikachu. Hot Air greatly annoys Dirachi by calling her a ghost type when she is clearly a Dark/Psychic type. Due to this Dirachi must solo all Dirfloon and Dirfblim not soloed by someone else to get a kind of revenge.

Sometime after the 4th gym Dirachi will start to grow close to her trainer and team. If Dirachi is in the red and knows and has ran out of PP for pain split she will finally grant her trainer's wish of wanting to heal her. Dirachi will now accept 20HP healing potions and revives, only in the middle of battles.

Petra the Carnivine from Ullar on Smogon
As with his namesake (Petey Piranha), Petra was happy guzzling dirty liquids in the Marsh before you came along; it still loves playing with its food, though. You must teach Petra Natural Gift as soon as possible (Veilstone Department Store), and it can have only one other attacking move. In order to get Petra motivated again, you have to basically drown it in water. Fortunately, there’s a ready source nearby. Petra must be hit by at least one damaging Water-type move from each of Crasher Wake's Pokemon during the battle. If this is not accomplished, Petra refuses to act for the rest of the Scramble (resets are allowed). After getting its fill, Petra begins to warm up to you - it prefers to battle when it's least expected. Petra must participate in all Trainer Double Battles in which you do not have a partner. Petra eventually gets winsome for its past, spreading and devouring garbage everywhere. You should give it the chance to do so again! You must teach it Sludge Bomb as soon as possible (Galactic Veilstone Building, in the basement where you get the Galactic Key); this does not count towards its attacking moves (giving it a total of potentially 3).

Shiny Scramble, Chapter 9, To Save a Windworks
It was morning. The trio headed out of the pokemon center. “Huh, what's this.” Shiny picked up a red berry. “It looks like a Cheri berry.” Shiny walked over to the next tree, “And this looks like an Oran berry.”
“Shiny? we shouldn't steal.”
“But Wish nothing else we took off the ground was ‘stolen’,” Shiny replied, “Besides what's the worst that can happen?” Both trees Shiny picked berries from disintegrated “Whoa, did it just… Alright, alright, I'll put them back,” Shiny planted both of the berries.
“Shiny? we just vandalized property! Do you know how serious this is?”
“Um, um.” Shiny looked around. She saw the sign for the building read, Free Berries Available, “Wait, those were the free berries.”
“That was close. For a second I thought we committed vandalism.”
The trio went inside. A girl handed Shiny a Sprayduck watering can, “Now remember to water berries!”
“Thank you! Now Shiny we should probably water those berries.”
“Alright,” Shiny went outside and watered the berries. “I wonder how this thing got water in it considering it didn't make everything in my bag wet.” All the water in the Sprayduck evaporated. “Fine I will not question your logic further.” The trio went back inside the shop. Inside a woman gave Shiny a Chesto berry.

The trio exited the Berry shop and began wandering around Floaroma town. Shiny entered a house and watched some TV, “It's a downpour right now on route 112. It's the best time to shout a loved one's name into the sky. Forget about an umbrella, think of the dramatic possibilities.” Shiny smiled at the best TV program we watched yet. 8.0/10 just the right amount of water. A girl have Shiny the TM for Pluck.

After doing practically everything they could do in town the trio headed to route 205. Shiny picked a Pecha and Chesto berry. A girl came running to Shiny, “Help, help, Trainer!”
“What is it? Are you okay?”
“Please can you get my papa for me?” the girl continued, “He works at the Valley Windworks.”
“You know where your dad is, why can't you just go to him yourself?” Asked Shiny.
“I tried, but the people dressed like spacemen are mean, and won't let me in…” The girl said.
“Don't worry little girl, we'll show those grunts a thing or two.”
“Yeah! We'll make sure your dad is safe!”

The trio headed east. Shiny picked up a potion. Wish beat a normal Pachirisu before facing the grunt at the front gate.
Grunt:“Don't you dare go into the Valley Windworks.”
Shiny:“Why not spaceman?”
Grunt:“We are not spacemen. I was ordered to keep all who were not team galactic out. Who are you anyway.”
Shiny:“I'm Shiny, this is Wish and that is Buguitar. Still I will not stand to let Galactic be the superior team. For that little girl and Team Skull I challenge you to a battle.”
Grunt:“Team Skull? Wasn't that a boy band?”
Shiny:“No it's not. Let's go Buguitar.”
Buguitar nodded her head and prepared herself for battle.
Grunt:“So you want to get in, do you? You'll have to battle me for it! Glameow go!”
“The wide expanse of space.” Buguitar sung. Glameow was 2HKOed.
Grunt:“Like the boss really expected me to win with a pokemon like this… Isn't that just great. Getting owned by some kid. But you can't do a thing if I lock myself in with my Works key!”
Shiny:“Are you serious? We just beat you and Buguitar and Wish are still very capable of fighting.”
“Do you think, you can just, weasel out like that? I will fight you, well if your okay with that Wish.”
“Buguitar we shouldn't fight humans, we should just keep the battle to friendly spars. Could you please let us in?”
Grunt:“The other one isn't here. My cohorts in the flower patch have the only other one! Hahaha! In a sense I'm no longer the loser.”
Shiny:“So first they threaten criminal action for something they could look up online, and now they set out a guard when just locking the door would be more effective as we would have no idea where the key is, now dumb can Galactic get.”
“Well at least he told us where the other key is.”
Shiny:“After hiding like a coward after saying stuff all of which made him a bigger loser. Come on Wish and Buguitar, let's get the other key.”

The trio went to the flower patch. Two grunts were harassing a man.
Grunt 1:“Enough arguing! Hand over that sweet Honey!”
Grunt 2:“Do as we say! Team Galactic will have that Honey! We must have it to attract Pokemon in great numbers!”
Buguitar jumped between the man and the grunts. Fear kicked in as she realized what she just did. Then she remembered the strength of the grunts so far.
“Yeah! Leave that man alone. We won't stand as you steal his honey!”
Grunt 1:“Hey! This kid is a witness! What'll we do?”
Shiny:“I'm not sure if it matters seeing as the previous grunts made team Galactic look obviously evil. I'm not sure how you can make it worse.”
Grunt 2:“We don't need the brat running off to get help…”
“We don't need to get help. The three of us together can protect others from you!”
Grunt 2:“The solution's simple! We ensure the brat stays quiet.”
Shiny:“Does team Galactic have a chronic problem of threatening to hurt kids that can handle themselves or something?”
“If you want to hurt Shiny, you have to get through us first!”
They sent out a Wurmple. “We are lucky enough” Wurmple was 2HKOed.
Wish with some turns wasted three-shot Silcoon.
Grunt1:“This is why I'll be stuck as a grunt forever… This is so lame… They're going to dock my pay after doing so little to you!”
Grunt 2:“I'm up next! Hehehe… Battling you right after my cohort weakened you give me the edge!”
Grunt1:“You do realize I didn't even do any damage to one of their pokemon, and the other is still in the green. Right?”
It was a zubat. A pokemon Buguitar always struggled to beat. “to share this lifetime we get.” Buguitar went to rock smash Zubat, but it did little.
“Don't worry Buguitar I can handle this!” Wish's pound did much more damage. Wish went to half health left due to wasting so many turns. When Zubat was in the red Buguitar switch back in and defeated Zubat. Wish leveled up!
Grunt2:“If only I had some descent pokemon…”
Grunt1:“This brat's tough! Like, really, really, tough! Tougher than I can put into words, and I know a lot of words.”
Shiny:“Wait tougher than the champion. You know that word, right?”
Grunt1:“We're done for here… Let's get back to the Valley Windworks.”
Man:“What's that thing? They seem to have forgotten it…”
Shiny:“I think it's the windworks key.”
Man:“It is! It's of no use to me. You may as well have it.” The man handed Shiny the key.
“Yay! Now we can save that girl's dad! Let's go!”
Man:“Thank you! You surely saved me. Those goons were trying to rob me of my, sweet, sweet, Honey. They sure were, though. You saw how they were dressed.”
Shiny:“Yeah, did they get those outfits from a costume shop or something? Were they under the astronauts section?”
Man:“What they were saying didn't make a whole lot of sense either.”
Shiny:“Well the are obviously evil, so they wanted a lot of pokemon, for evil.”
“Yeah, I really think they could use some therapy. Don't they know threatening, stealing and taking hostages is wrong?”
Man:“Oh! I need to thank you! Will you take this as my thanks?” The man gave Shiny some honey. “If you slather that honey on a sweet-smelling tree, it might attract pokemon.
Shiny:”Wait for rescuing you, you gave me the item that those grunts were trying to take from you? Um, thanks?" Not understanding the man's logic Shiny took the honey and slathered it on a nearby tree.

The berries Shiny had planted earlier were ready for harvest, she picked them then planted some more berries before heading back to the Valley Windworks.
“Let me in!” A Drifloon was banging a stick against the door to the Valley Windworks.
“Hello do you need help?”
“Yes. This door is locked. Do you believe that? I left to find a good stick to fight the last guard with, seeing as I ran out of PP for my one good move, and when I came back, IT WAS LOCKED!”
“Couldn't you have just gotten one from the tree over there?” Shiny pointed to a nearby honey tree.
"None of the sticks in that tree were good enough. I was looking for the best stick,“ She hit the door again. The Drifloon's stick snapped in half, ”And obviously this stick was only subpar."
“Is there even a difference, between sticks?”
“Of course there is! A good stick is the only difference between using cut and slash, and I dread to think I was using cut by accident.”
“The difference in base power could hurt.”
“Oh, it's not the base power I care about. It's that cut isn't a G.H.O.S.T move. I only work with G.H.O.S.T moves.”
“But slash isn't a ghost type move either.”
“What idiot would know mono ghost type moves? It leaves them completely open to normal types. I settled for moves that start with the letters G.H.O.S.T instead.”
“Shiny, please open the door now.”
“Why do you do that?”
“Because obviously the only way to be the fairest ghost type of them all is to only use ghost related moves.”
“Ooo, that's very interesting. What's your name?”
“My name is Hot Air. Though I insist that you call me mistress Air.
”Okay so we're heading inside.“ Shiny unlocked the door. ”Want to come?"
"Yes. These astronauts have another thing coming if they think they can over take my home.“

Everyone went inside. ”What?! No way! You have the key?“ a grunt asked.
Shiny:”Yep, thanks for telling me where it was!“
Grunt:”Locking the door was meaningless! I am the loser in this after all!"
“Well, actually, we got exp from your friends. So we're um, stronger now.”
Grunt:“No! This is no time for self-pity! I've got to alert the Commander!” He ran away.

Everyone went deeper inside. “I ain't fooling around, kid. This is how a professional does it!” the grunt sent out a very threatening level 11 Cascoon. “We can gain more if we give.” Buguitar finished the battle with only a tiny scratch.“
Shiny:”Not evolving your pokemon all the way even though you can and losing. Got it. But I don't think I want to be “professional” like you.“
They continued onward. Another grunt challenged Shiny to a battle. ”By taking, we only lose.“ Buguitar beat the Wurmple with more health than she started with. Wish easily beat Glameow.

Mars:”I'm one of team Galactic's three Commanders."
“You think you can just barge into my home? You've got another thing coming! This kid and her pokemon are going to take you down!”
Mars:“Are you not her pokemon too?”
“Well, no.”
Mars:“Relying on a trainer that is not your own, how pathetic. We've been trying to create a new world that's better than this one…”
Shiny:“Then why have your team been so obviously evil so far?”
“Sure there may be many problems in the world right now. But everyone can come together to fix them! Together, everyone can make the world a better place!”
“Yeah!” Buguitar smiled.
Mars:“But people have shown little understanding about what we do.”
Shiny:“Well then. I guess I'll look team Galactic up on the internet.” Shiny hopped onto a nearby computer despite the grunt's protest, “Let's see here… Your leader is Cyrus, he plans on using a legendary by taking the gems of the lake guardians to create the red chain, and he wants to wipe out all existence but himself to make himself a god in a world without spirit. Okay why do all you people even support him in the first place?”
Mars:“Wait what!? That webpage is filled with lies! You and the internet don't understand either, don't you? It's a little saddening…”
“Seems accurate to me.”
“And me.”
“We should at least give team Galactic a chance to explain themselves.”
Mars:“So let's have a battle to decide what we should do next.”
Shiny:“I'm listening.”
Mars:“If I win, you leave. If you win, we, Team Galactic will leave!”
Shiny:“Sounds fair.”
Mars sent out a Zubat. Buguitar's old struggle. Shiny wasted a turn. Jaws clenched themselves around Buguitar's scythe as the Zubat used bite.
“Don't worry Buguitar, I've got you covered!” Wish took Buguitar's place. Zubat shrugged and switched the pokemon she was attacking. Energy was sucked from Wish twice. He closed his eyes and started chanting something. Both pokemon bit each other in an attempt to suck each other's energy. Despite doing minuscule damage Wish fully healed due to wish. After biting Wish Zubat started to pick up on his kind aura. Floating leaves barley left a dent on Zubat, a purple orb was launched at Wish leaving him soaked in worsening poison.
“Wish, please just use pound already,” Shiny said, wishing Wish would use the move she had been telling him to use the entire battle.
“On, arrg!” Zubat drained more of Wish's energy. While Zubat was distracted a stub pounded her, she was still in the green zone.
“Okay Wish on second thought maybe you should come back,” Shiny said, “Buguitar your up!”
Buguitar nervously stepped forward. Even Wish was having trouble with Zubat now. What chance did she stand, she got an idea. Buguitar began to gather her rage, leech life, leech life, strike! Buguitar's scythe was soaked in worsening poison. So much for bide… “Let us make this a new age” But the Zubat ignored it and used bite. Shiny used an antidote on Buguitar while her energy was drained. A scythe smashed into the bat hardly doing anything while being bitten in return. “where we show our gratitude.” Buguitar sung, but this only distracted her enough to get hit by a critical bite. Shiny used a potion on Buguitar. Zubat tried again for another crit. Zubat was preparing more poison but a smashing hit to the side made her lose focus sending her into the red. Both pokemon bit the other. Buguitar hit Zubat off of her, causing it to faint.
“Okay Shiny I'll withstand attacks while you heal Buguitar.” Buguitar winced as she saw Wish knowing his usefulness in battle. Wish was up against a Purugly. Shiny began by giving a potion to Buguitar. Wish endured a scratch. “Buguitar?”
“Yes Wish?” She was crying.
“I believe in you.” Wish was finished off.
Buguitar began by smashing her scythe into Purugly at full critical force. Two sets of claws swiped Buguitar's underbelly. Fangs sucked energy out of Purugly. Both pokemon swung at each other. Purugly fell to the ground, fainted. Buguitar felt more powerful and leveled up. She was breathing heavily at 13 health left.
Mars:“This can't be. I lost? You uppity brat. Oops! I messed that one up!”
Shiny:“A win's a win. Time to pack out and declare team skull superior.”
Mars:“I don't remember that being part of the deal if I lost.”
Shiny:“Oh, that's right.”
“Ha! Take that! That's what you get for threatening my home.”
Mars:“That's all right, though. I quite enjoyed our battle.”
“You sadist. How could you enjoy Wish fainting.”
Shiny:“Buguitar Wish fainting isn't the end of the world. We'll go to the pokemon center and he'll be alright. Still that was quite an intense battle.”
Mars:“I guess it's time to say good-bye and leave for the time being!” Team Galactic left.
Shiny:“Maybe they aren't all so bad. Maybe they could use some therapy, like Wish said.”
“Have you been living under a rock? Obviously evil, remember?”
Shiny:“Don't worry Hot Air, I remember.”
“It's mistress Air to you.”
Shiny:"Oh sorry your majesty, do you want me to get some fries with that shake?“
Researcher:”Team Galactic… They were saying they had to gather pokemon and energy no matter what. It was for creating a new universe, or so they claimed.“
Shiny:”Well the internet said they were going to try to swipe out all existence with it and the internet never lies it must be true."
“Those sickos.”
Researcher:“Nothing they said made any sort of sense to me.”
Shiny:“How hard is it to understand. They want to create a new universe. They are stealing stuff to make it happen. They are hurting others because they are obviously evil. A quick internet search could literally tell you their entire plan.”
Researcher:“I can't tell you how grateful I am for saving me.”
Shiny:“Not much of a problem! I think your daughter was worried about you. Your her dad, right?”
Researcher:“I can finally see her again!”
Little girl:“Papa! Yuck! Papa, you're stinky! Go shower now, stinky!”
Researcher:“Oh, sorry! Ahaha! That's me working nonstop!”
Little girl:“Thank you, trainer! You made those bad people go away! I think the balloon pokemon will come visiting again!”
“I'm am not a balloon pokemon. I am the to-be fairest ghost type pokemon in the lands, mistress Air. Secondly I go off to Eterna forest for one hour to train then-”
Shiny:“We'll be right back, I just have to heal Wish and Buguitar real quick.” The trio left.
“Don't leave while I'm still talking to, they're gone.”

The trio came back.
“Did you seriously walk away while I was still talking to you.”
Shiny:“Yep. I had to heal Wish and Buguitar.”
“And don't worry, I am all okay now!”
“Still I suppose I should thank you for getting rid of team Galactic. So thank you.”
“Your welcome!”
“So what will you be doing next?”
Shiny:“Oh we're going to Eterna city to challenge the second gym.”
“Challenging the gym? As in going around and challenging all of the gyms, like, say Fantina's gym.”
Shiny:“When we come across it, yes.”
“I know how to repay you. I'll join your team. But first, show me your strength.”
“Yay! A new friend. I'm Wish, and that's Shiny, and that's Buguitar, and I'll go up against you.” Hot Air began to focus her energy. Leaves in different colored auras hit her doing a tiny amount of damage.
“I think I got this.” Buguitar stepped in. Hot Air used Payback scoring a crit and sending Buguitar to 22 health. “Wait payback doesn't start with any of the letters in G.H.O.S.T.”
“Well all of my G.H.O.S.T moves are mostly out of PP, so unfortunately to battle you I have to resort to using moves outside of that. But don't think I'll do it for anyone else ever again.” Hot Air boosted her defenses.
“There's a fragile bud of hope,” the sweetly sung words lulled Hot Air to sleep. Fangs sunk into Hot Air but it barley did any damage. “Um… I don't think I can do anything useful to lower her health.” It was Zubat all over again.
“Then I got this!” Wish took Buguitar's place. Hot Air used another payback, reducing Wish to 21 health. A gust of Air slammed Wish into a wall causing him to faint.
“Is that all you got? Maybe I'll be better off staying here.”
“I swear we are stronger than you!” Hot Air focused more. “blooming in each of our hearts.”
“I'm not falling for that song twice.” She stayed awake while boosting her defense. Buguitar desperately bit Hot Air again. “Don't you take that away.” Hot Air yawned, “Like, I'll… zzz” Shiny threw a dusk ball. With it being successful she immediately rushed to the pokemon center afterwards to heal everyone.

“Uh, what? Wait! How did you beat me! I was going to beat Buguitar in my next attack, and now I'm here.”
Shiny:“Well I threw a dusk ball at you after Buguitar put you to sleep.”
“A dusk ball? That will clash horribly with my color scheme.”
“Well if you think about it, it contrasts your brightness pretty well.” Wish closed his eyes and gave a smile.
“Well when you think about it that way…”
"Don't you ever hurt Wish again." Buguitar put her scythe up to Hot Air's head.
“And to think the four of us are going to be great friends! That makes me so happy!” Buguitar quickly put her scythe behind her back before Wish opened his eyes. “Still it's getting pretty late and we should go to bed.”

Shiny and Wish went to bed. Buguitar and Hot Air however laid awake, giving each other a death glare. This went on for a while until a whisper broke the silence.
“Just because you joined the team doesn't mean I have to like you.”
“Same here Buggo. The only reason I'm on the team right now is because you and Shiny decided to sneakily capture me in my sleep. I would have completely owned you if that dusk ball didn't work. And now I'll waste my time with a bunch of weaklings that can't match up to my strength. What a waste of my talent really. I would be better off alone.”
“Buggo is the least insulting insult I've been called. Still I didn't know you could level up 16 levels in a matter of days.”
“Days? Doesn't it take months to go up a level?”
“Not in this team. I was just a level 4 Kricketot when I joined this team, and look at me now. Given another week I bet we both could have beaten you without any help.”
“So I'll get stronger for faster here, hmm… Still you seem awfully over protective of Wish.” Hot Air turned toward him, “It would be a shame if I were to gust him.”
“Don't you dare.”
“As if I would really do it to him. He's been the only one so far who hasn't been sneaky or underhanded to me so far. You on the other hand… Maybe I would consider.”
“You better not. Still I don't care that your on my team now or not. If you ever hurt Wish again I will tear you limb from limb.”
“Pasionet for him, are you not? You stop threatening me in front of him, being over protective of him. Gosh if you like him so much why don't you marry him? Heh heh heh.”
“Wait, do you really think I could marry him?”
"Good Arceus I was joking. Still, I like your strong spirit.
“Thanks?”
“Heh, your confusion amuses me. Anyway I'll go to bed now and hope I don't wake up with you haven stranded me in a raft out at sea or something like that. Night.”
Buguitar would never do something like that. Instead she would do something like rearrange the items in a room or sing badly in the middle of the night. But she couldn't do that now, Wish was here. If she did those things would he still like her, would he still believe in her? Buguitar didn't want to upset Wish, he was the only pokemon who ever believed she could do something great, and one of the few pokemon who had been nice to her. Since joining the team she had evolved and learned sing. Back home she wanted to become more powerful and skilled, but with Wish, he made her want to be a better person.

Team so far
My team is so over leveled right now. All of the grunts have like level 9 or 11 guys. Mars had a level 16 Purugly while Buguitar was level 19. Mars has been the hardest trainer I faced since Roark, mostly due to her Zubat. I started planting berries and I want to try to get as many as I can before Petra joins my team, mostly so Natural gift can actually do something. Still Hot Air joined the team giving me 3 pokemon, and I was only 1 chapter off in guessing when she will join. This is great. I'll be able to get Dirachi before the 2nd gym, so that will also be great.

Despite not using her at all this chapter I put her as my MVP because of how hard battling her was. She would have been able to 2HKO both of my pokemon. She had to be the hardest fight since Roark, maybe even harder, the only reason I didn't have to reset for another shiny Drifloon was because sing followed by a dusk ball caught her, and she was nice enough not to kill Buguitar before she could sing. Still it's sad that Hot Air would have been harder to fight, a single wild pokemon, than Mars.
Still I wasted an entire day setting the clock incorrectly for Drifloon to appear.. This is the first time in a main series game I cried. Good job game freak you finally got me to cry like how the PMD games have been doing, but for all of the wrong reasons. But then I found out about an exploit of setting the DS clock and everything was great again.

Too easy and too hard options
You know the Mars fight? I was selecting pound the entire time, that's how bad disobedience is. It took until turn nine to use pound once. Nine turns for one pound. To be honest the only thing I can reliably use Wish for is heal fodder for Buguitar, in which both I and Buguitar find sad. The only fights he participates in anymore is if a trainer has a second pokemon in which Wish switches in due to Humility. I think Wish's power is starting to go down, but I can't really tell as disobedience is clouding everything else about Wish. I can't get the second badge soon enough. Still even then I have to worry about Wish growing over level 30 where disobedience will kick in again until after I get the 4th badge. But after that disobedience shouldn't pop up again.

I have an idea for a Gible (That evolves into Gabite and eventually Garchomp) based on the Garchomp/Lucario budget Deck from the Pokémon TCG. I’ll post it in a few more hours when I’ve finished brainstorming
