Hello, and welcome to The NEW Shop Directory! For years now, ever since @shiguy101 had the idea back during Scratch 1.4, the requests forum has had a convenient list of currently active shops in the form of The Shop Directory. Scratchers could come to the directory to find neatly categorized lists of shops, and bypass the tedious task of searching through shop names, hoping to find the right shop for them. Alphabetical List of Shops (39)
An alphabetical list of all shops currently added to the directory. This only lists their names and links, if you want information about the shop, go to one of the category links below instead.

Advertisements (4)
Shops that offer advertisements are the place to go if you're looking to get yourself out there! From banners in signatures to features in Scratch Newspapers, these shops want to help get you more views!

Animations (3)
Animation shops will typically make you a costume animation (like walking, or jumping) or .gif to your specifications! If you're not good with making believable animations for your games and projects, definitely stop by one of these shops.

Backrounds (6)
Shops meant for backgrounds specialize in making drawings that take up the full 480x360 pixels of your project's screen. Good backgrounds can really change the feel of the project, so definitely take a look at these!

Banners/Signatures (10)
Ever see a neat image in someone's signature or shop and think, “Man, I wish I had one like that!” Chances are they got it from a banner shop. Banners are usually made quickly, and banner shop owners are open to making changes till it fits exactly like you want it!

BBCode (5)
BBCode is what makes all the fancy stuff on forum posts. Quote boxes, emoticons Big Text, crossed out text and most importantly, Scratchblocks. Tell these shops what you want your post to look like, and they'll make it happen!

Debugging (3)
If ever you have a problem with your scripts, you have 2 options. The first is to post a new topic on the Help With Scripts forum, and get mostly helpful (but potentially unthorough) responses from Scratchers like me, deck26, or asivi. (We do try our best. ) The second is to go to a debugging shop, where they'll take a look a your code, and try to fix every problem they find. Either way works!

Federation (2)
These are a combination of shops and collaborations, as they are shops banding together to try and streamline their services while helping each other get more visibility. Most commonly, they use a representative style of government to work together to create standards and rules to hold themselves accountable to. If you're a shop owner, you might consider joining one!

Ideas (4)
Idea shops are for those who've hit a creative slump, and need some extra inspiration to get a project out the door. These range from feature ideas to whole project concepts.

Intros/Outros (2)
Want to give your projects more of a personal flair? How about a custom Intro? These shops will help you come up with one and make it come to life!

Logos (14)
I got my profile picture logo from a Scratch shop, and so have many other Scratchers here on the forums. Definitely give one of these shops a try if you're trying to rebrand yourself!

Music (4)
Looking for a master composer to write some flowing scores for your games? Well ok, they may not be “masters,” but Scratch has had some pretty darn good musicians on here over the years. Check out these shops to give them a shot at making some great bgm for your projects!

Reviews (11)
Hands down, the best shop type out there. And I'm not just saying that because I own one…ok maybe I am. Shameless plug aside, review shops review the things you give them a link to, be it a project, forum post, user profile, or even other shops. Different review shops style their reviews differently, and some are more harsh/critical than others. It's always a good idea to get your projects reviewed, and it doesn't hurt to get more than one opinion either!

Scripts and Custom Blocks (11)
Script shops will make scripts on demand to do whatever you want them to. They're usually backpackable, meaning you can put the script/custom block in your backpack, then put it in any project you like! The more complicated the request, the longer it might take, so keep that in mind when ordering!

Sound Effects (2)
If you just need effects, but not full blown songs, a sound effects shop is the place to look. They're willing to dive into the deepest depths of google searching, sometimes even venturing to the second page, to find the perfect sound effects for you. You might think that's sarcastic, but I and my searching talents were unable to find some seemingly simple sounds quickly, so these shops really are a huge time saver. Definitely stop by if you want to add some extra polish!

Sprites (11)
These shops make full sprites for you, complete with all necessary costumes and animations. Some sprite shops will even script the sprites for you as well! Great for those with no artistic talent, like me. No really, my games need serious help.

Text Art (4)
These shops are all about making those neat little drawings you may have seen online, made completely with characters from your keyboard, and other ASCII characters! This category also includes those that specialize in enhancing text, via .gifs, LED signs, and more. If you have something in mind that you'd like to spam to literally everyone ahem, post appropriately online, give these shops a visit!

Voice Acting (1)
Some Scratchers have microphones. Some of these Scratchers with microphones are willing to voice act lines for your cutscenes and animations. If you want to really diversify your animations, ask these shops to help!

Writing (4)
Sum sratcherres right gud. Uh, I mean they're great at using words…to form sentences…oh I give up. Check out these shops if you want some good dialogue for your characters, or even just some proofreading and revision.

Epilogue

I hope you find this directory to be useful! The reason for the delay in getting a new Directory up is the fact that a couple of Scratchers, CStafford-14 and CCPlymJoe, intend on making a brand new site to automate the whole directory, and make sure it's always up to date. Unfortunately, it hasn't gotten done as fast as they had hoped, but a link will be provided here as soon as it's finished! If you'd like to help them with it, they are taking applications here!

In the mean time, I will keep this updated to the best of my ability. Scratch On!
