Idea for a Logo Change [Scratch 3.0]

Well I was thinking about the Scratch logo, and it seems a little… well, ugly.
I had an idea for a new one that retained some of the playfulness of the old one, but also looks a lot cleaner – I've included .svg and .png files of my design. Hope you like!

P. S. The font is a modified version of Questrial.
P. P. S. The SVG file might be a bit broken – vector files are finnicky.

It looks nice! It's unlikely that it'll be used, though.

Looks good… but shouldn't the Scratch logo be in the Scratch font?

That would basically make the new logo that is being suggested into the current Scratch logo. That would destroy the point of the logo being suggested.

If the font in the suggested logo is changed to the Scratch font, it'd basically be the same as the inverted variation of the Scratch logo that appears when you hover your mouse over the logo in the upper left.

True, and that can mean that the logo being suggested could be the new Scratch logo, only if the Scratch Team will more likely be considering suggestions.

It's unlikely they're going to make any major changes because of trademark issues.

Anyways, support, it looks clean, and its nice, and it still keeps the style of the Scratch logo, just in a different font.

I like it - it looks clean and simplistic.
One problem, though - it doesn't really fit in with the 3.0 website to me, for some reason.

I don't know, it seems too much like all the other bland new logos, like Google, Spotify, AirBnb, Pinterest, etc. That being said, simple design is pretty pleasing to the eyes.

I find it a bit hard to read, the logo suggested by @100DiMENSIONS is more simplistic, easier to read, smoother, etc.
I highly doubt this would be added and that they would change their minds at the last moment, but perhaps they could at least make the logo have a smoother font that is easier to read?
