The ideal resolution for digital art?
Hi! I'm and aspiring traditional and digital artist
- and I draw most of my digital art (and scan in traditional) at roughly 1080p (1920 x 1080) or 1080 x 1080.
Even when uploading those images to scratch they come out really low quality (which is why I haven't posted much).
How can I fix this? // Is there a way to keep my images high quality?
I upload 24-bit PNGs with transparency (if that helps)..
Thanks!

It submitted without me realising it, and I hadn't fully said what I meant.. Do you mean the resolution of the paint editor?

The resolution in the Paint Editor in Scratch is 480x360.
Please also keep in mind that images always upload in bitmap, which could also be why your images might be looking lower quality.

I recommend putting it through google drawings and save the file through there, that usually works for me.

If you convert the paint editor of the costume from bit map to vector (in the bottom left), then upload the picture using the import button, they should turn out better.

I usually do my art at 2048 by 1536- Scratch's project editor is 480x360, or a 4:3 ratio.
Doing map parts, I don't want to use up many megabytes so I just import them without saving them as an svg, sometimes for featured unshared projects through on my profile I'll make it high quality.
but
I use Inkscape, which makes the picture incredibly large in pixels when you put it into SVE but you get high quality fast. You have to import your png into Inkscape, then save it as a SVG and import it into SVE.

is a good solution, the only issue is I found Google Docs laggy. I recommend putting it through google drawings and save the file through there, that usually works for me.

Thanks to all of you! I will try all of these methods and fine my favourite!
