Hello there!
I've been a Scratcher for nine years now, and I'm always happy to help!

Will there be a way for the sprite to point to an object or go to an object using the camera extension?
Give me an internet! I only have 3 as of April 8th, 2018.

RIPI have seen both vertical and horizontal blocks for Scratch 3.0. Will you be able to switch between them or are the vertical, graphic based blocks only going to be available on tablets? Or was that an old idea?
No. The horizontal blocks are something we will use for the next version of ScratchJr in the future. One nice thing about the 3.0 technical architecture though is that we can re-use the vast majority of what we built for 3.0 to build future versions of both Scratch and ScratchJr.
I like to make drawings move elsewhere, but on here I do mainly coding experiments. Check them out if you want!

There's going to be a project size limit for Scratch 3, Im imagining its bigger than Scratch 2's 50MB limit.. So my question is, what's the project size limit for Scratch 3.0?

That's what I just wanted to know! There's going to be a project size limit for Scratch 3, Im imagining its bigger than Scratch 2's 50MB limit.. So my question is, what's the project size limit for Scratch 3.0?
My project is too large to fit the current limit..
I hope the answer from Scratch Team.

They also changed the icons of the tabs for sprites/backdrops. Instead of saying “scripts,” it now says “code.” Strange choice in my opinion.

I think “script” implies something that is written or typed; most senses of the noun “script” have something to do with writing. “Code” implies a broader range of forms of communication. It will be the same size, but the exciting thing is that we have greatly improved compression in Scratch 3.0 so you should be able to fit bigger / more complex projects with the same number of bytes.

I've seen this is true project-wise – I've seen the work on improving the SB3 format – but are assets also going to be compressed better? The issue I've seen most people face is from uploading too many sounds or pictures. There's going to be a project size limit for Scratch 3, Im imagining its bigger than Scratch 2's 50MB limit.. The project size limit would be the same even if compressed. The number of megabytes would still stay the same, but the projects could have more sprites, scripts, etc. The size is measured in megabytes, so the size would still stay the same.I've seen this is true project-wise – I've seen the work on improving the SB3 format – but are assets also going to be compressed better? Usually, most of a project are considered to consist of resource files (i.e. PNG image).
However, the resource files are compressed in itself.
Therefore, I wonder how much it can be compressed.
From now on, the amount of resource files tend to increase, especially with extension functions.
So, I think extending the limit of a project size is needed for Scratch 3.0.

Not sure if the person who said that Scratch 3.0 ran faster with clones did accurate testing. I tested a project of mine with it and it ran dreadfully slow compared to the 2.0 project. Although I did notice that the bug with full screen position calculating was fixed.

Sorry for out of topic.
But, this is an advanced matter of the original question.
I would like to know what Scratch Team think about this.
Of course, I understand the matter of the server maintenance.
However, I think this limit disturbs “Wide Walls” Design Principles.

Low Floor & Wide Walls
In order to encourage a varied and diverse set of interactions,
we explicitly include elements and features that are easy for kids to understand (low floor),
but general enough to support diverse uses (wide walls).

Over time, yes. Particularly for sounds there is quite a bit we can improve.

Good catch. There are some aspects of clones that are faster, but actually creating a clone is still slower than we would like it to be. You'll see quite a bit of work go into performance this month.
