[ANNOUNCEMENT] ScratchNetwork - A NEW WEBSITE - ADVERTISE, PROVIDE HOW TO's AND MORE!
Announcing
SCRATCHNETWORK

- Advertise your shop!
- Request anything from experienced Scratchers! Banners, Profile Pictures, Help With Scripts, anything!
- Take orders for your shop and easily manage them.
- Add updates and posts for your followers
- Get constructive reviews for your Shop, Studio or Project.
- All posts are reviewed before posting
- No account required! - Just sign in with your Scratch profile by leaving a randomly generated comment.
About
Currently, ScratchNetwork has been in development for nearly two months and contains nearly 2000 lines of code, all written by me, @myed. It is still in BETA so all the screenshots won't reflect the final version.
How it works
There are 4 different roles. Curator, Trusted Curator, Moderator and Admin.
- Curator - These users can add their projects or posts but it is expected they find other Scratchers projects, studios and shops and post them to the network. Curator posts need to be approved before they are shown publicly. Please note that you have to be promoted from a normal user to a curator by a moderator or admin. Just ask on their Scratch Profile.
- Trusted Curator - These users can approve posts to be released to the network and can also submit a “Priority Report” which sends me an email instead of a report going to a moderator. Note that anybody logged in can report a post.
- Moderator - These users can edit, delete and modify posts. They can also promote and demote users.
- Admin - These users can ban users and have full control of moderation.

That's great, when will it launch?
You can access it now at this link.
You might want to be promoted. That's great! Apply here!
I've worked hard on this, so PLEASE tell your friends and fellow Scratchers.
Thank you.

Cool! Is this a website? If so, you should probably register it and move it to Things I'm Making And Creating.

I have reported it to be moved. I can't register it until I'm done and it's released publicly. Cool! Is this a website? If so, you should probably register it and move it to Things I'm Making And Creating.

Why you want to be a curator: To help improve the software in its early stages. If I am able to help with other things (like the code) I might be able to help as well.

Thank you for inviting me to be a trusted curator of Scratch Network. Anyway what are your plans for organizing topics? Are you going to allow responding to topics in a future update? The sign in system is good and easy to understand. May I suggest adding the ability to visit posts by opening them in new tabs. Right now when I try to do that it just opens the page I am on in a new tab. This would be handy for people who like to look .at a page of topics and open all of them that they are interested in reading in new tabs. The current layout of ScratchNetwork has a nice design to look at. Also the button to click on for fun was very fun and insightful XD
Also I have some questions on your guide to post a good review. What are the requirements for a project to get each of the star rating? Also what is the summary of the review mean? For the pros and cons what would you do if you can't find at least 4 pros and/or 2 cons of a project? Would you make something up? Would you stretch the bullets like you did in the sample forum? Just what are you suppost to do if you are asked to review a project that is just a black line on a white backdrop with no scripts?

Ordering from shops will be added today(hopefully) and you should be able to view orders when you open the post as an OP.

This seems really interesting, just one question because I was a bit confused while reading the OP- will every user be able to use this or only the people who apply to use it?

Anyone can view but only signed in users can report and do things like that to it. For now, though, only people who apply have been sent the link. So it's in a kind of limited release for testing then when it's done every user can sign in or have I misinterpreted it?Anyone can view but only signed in users can report and do things like that to it. Thanks for asking! I'm still working on editing but when I'm done it should be for the original poster and moderators. Can curators edit posts?
