Two of the most difficult things to get used to with Scratch is the way variables are scoped and there are no functions in the sense of call/return
You will see how custom blocks are almost like functions that you can't return from but if you won't be able to create variables scoped to the block
If that doesn't make sense and you need more help, please let me know.
