i have an idea for a collab, but i would like to check it by the scratch team first.
My idea is called “Scratch Rights”
It will be used so that people will know who came up with the idea first, since there's no real way to just stop people from copying another, it will not want to because people will know they are not the first to make it.
We will have a company sign along with some sign to signal that something was the first idea, much like the copyright signs.
I just wanted to see if it was okay with the scratch team.

When a project is remixed, it is automatically marked as a remix and it is a permanent tag, you cannot make it look like it was your own. I support the idea, (even though I am not on the ST) but there is no real important reason to have it.

We don't allow for project copying (and we encourage users to flag the project if they are sure that it is a case of project copying) but you must keep in mind that one of the ideas behind Scratch is remixing, and that we encourage users to share and remix projects, ideas, art, music, scripts, or any other media found on Scratch because we have seen how it can lead to more interesting creations.

Besides, no one really truly *owns* an individual idea - in fact, a lot of ideas and creations around the world are built of off other ideas that came before, such as Edison's lightbulb (which was based off of previous lightbulb designs that came in the past), or Tolkein's “The Lord of the Rings” (which incorporates ideas from pre-existing mythology stories such as “Beowulf”).

If you allow people to copyright ideas, you very quickly end up with a world where people have to ask permission to explore new ideas just because they *might* be related to old ones. Try to imagine if someone decided that you couldn't share your gravity simulator project because gravity simulators are not new and been created on Scratch many times before. That's not what we want for Scratch.

I meant for collabs, and it wouldn't stop them from doing it, it just shows which idea was made first, but okay
