serious game team forming - experience and skill required

Welcome to the first Team Update for LocoHouse! First off, I really have to extend a huge thanks to everyone involved so far.
Shall0w - pixel artist / writer
AlphaAndBeta - coder / pixel artist
BirdLover198 - vector artist
zuwel - sound tech / musician / coder / vector artist
invited feedback - PintOfMilk
The short version of our history is I formed the team 1. to collab with people 2. who would learn how to use a the Scratch version of a professional development cycle to complete awesome games. Our design principle is to build a simple, rock solid foundation and then build up from that.
We made plans for the team to start with simple projects but fell into the classic pitfall of abandoning our own development plan more or less out of sheer enthusiasm for our ROG game idea. The amazing thing is how quickly we realized as a team the problems that would grow from this and in spite of our enthusiasm nobody wanted to jeopardize the future of our first RPG project, Shadowlands.
So we've decided to get back on track with our original plan. Shadowlands has become our first long term project. I will be creating a outline planning its production schedule with specific goals. Our our more immediate goals will focus on developing at least 2 other simpler games. This will enable all team members to get involved, even our two other coders, and allow us to get some finished games released to the Scratch public quickly.
Shall0w has already kicked things off with artwork for one of our new games. The game itself is a cookie clicker type game, meaning coding will be about as easy as it gets. I will create the base for the program using an old clicker project of mine and if one of our other coders wants to take over from there they are welcome to. I think our current plans are to incorporate art and game animations into the player's purchase and upgrade of production buttons/methods.

We've discussed working on a platformer but we will hold off on that for the moment. We need to brainstorm on ideas for more simple games and pick at least one other to develop along with our clicker. So take some time to think of what you've played, do some looking around Scratch, your phone, etc and come up with a list of ideas. I will do the same.

Also, we will begin reserving this discussion post for future team recruitment only. So add these to your bookmarks…

1. our new official discussion post for general team development talk
2. we will also create dedicated posts for any game we have under production, all linked to from the top post of the above post so we now have a post dedicated to Shadowlands and another post dedicated to our clicker gamed, currently titled The Woods. To see Shall0w's current pixel and animation work, go here.

I'll be fine if you don't pick me, but please consider. I have at least 6 years under my belt. I've done lot's of projects, mainly games. I'm trying to make my games bigger, but it's a slow process. Hope you enjoy my projects.

These are some of my most prized projects. I have more if you'd like.

Im not really art, more of empathy and general game design.

Well my idea is that you should introduce a variable
(MAP ID)
(Each Map has a map ID)
The thing is you are using a list right?
You are using a list for just blockers for just one Map ID? That's good but you need to be smarter!

You are using the blockers in a format where for example a list is where X and Y are different terms. That in my opinion should be scrapped.

Create a bit of code so that string “x/y/z” is equal to list
Now you just need to load the engine every time you create a new map.
Now you can use
(item (MAP ID) of [list v] :: list)

Hello all,

I'm not much of an animator, so I can't really fill that last open team position, but I'd be interested in think tank / beta-testing / feedback sorts of roles.

Ok. I'll add you to both lists, the feedback team and the testing team.

I just started new discussion pages so we can reserve this page for applications. Here are the new pages…
The general discussion page
The continuation of our Shadowlands RPG discussion (moved there from here)
Our new clicker game The Woods (base code to be released later today)
and our team page on Scratch

Sorry, I closed applications last month. I thought I posted that here, which makes me wonder where I did post it? I did update the top post though.
