We have a workbook, “coding with scratch” and page 16 has us learning about loops. The workbook tells us to write the code:

when green flag clicked
turn cw (15) degrees
change [color] effect by (25)

Then we are to loop this in a forever loop. Everything I try, the cat won't change color. He turns fine. What am I missing? My code looks the same as the workbook. I've tried different sprites, I've tried changing the color in costumes, and I've tried other options like warp, fisheye, and brightness. The only ones I can see working are brightness and ghost. The sprite disappears when I select those and click the green flag.

I also have tried removing the turn command and only looping the change color effect. It does nothing. The workbook suggests that the cat should first change green and then when looped it should continue to change colors by 25 each time making a rainbow effect.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm stumped.
