I tried to download Scratch 2 Offline Editor, and the installing process went perfectly smooth. Whenever I tried to open it though, it opened for about 1 second, and then force closed. I tried reinstalling both Adobe AIR and Scratch 2, and clicking on both the shortcut and the actual .exe file. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem - tried several times
checked Adobe Falsh player & Air, Chrome and Firefox are up to date
Reinstalled and uninstalled several times
shows for a nano second and then closes
very frustrating

My operating system is Windows 7 home premium

I also have the same problem and have remove and installed multiple times.

Scratch 2.0 and Adobe Air 4.0 both seem to install properly, but when I go to open scratch 2.0, the window pops up for a second and then disappears.

My operating system I am running is Windows 8.1.

Thanks for looking into this and hopefully there is a resolution soon.

There seems to be something with the current installer file, because I installed Scratch 2 offline a while ago and I don't have this issue.
Latest version of Adobe Air, latest version of Offline Editor.

If there is a older version or down revision of scratch 2.0, would love to try it as it is working on my other laptop running Windows 7.

It's not perfect but I just posted a work-around here.

I was having the same problem as everyone else and it solved it for me. Someone else is having trouble with it though. Could you test it out?

Thanks for reporting this bug. Adobe has released an update for AIR that causes our offline editor to close immediately after opening. We've fixed the issue and plan to release an updated version of the editor later today!
