What will happen to Scratch if Net Neutrality is killed?

Half of these posts are literally saying that our providers will block Scratch. But most likely, this is not the case. First off, Scratch is a KIDS site! Most kids don't really have a steady way of getting enough money. And most parents wont open up their wallets for something on the internet unless they see that their kids are really happy with it and a holiday is coming up. Second, Scratch isn't that big! Well, I mean, it is big, but not compared to Youtube. I doubt they will ever make you pay for Scratch unless it gets MAJORLY popular. Like, more popular than Snapchat. Course, this is my opinion, but don't expect any changes in Scratch. You can email them if you want if you are REALLY worried, but they might get annoyed with all the other emails about it.

Since the ISPs will see that they can't make money off of Scratch, they'll block it.

True, but what are the chances of that happening? They will most likely go for the big stuff like SnapChat and just ignore Scratch in general. They can't just get a couple people to code in some prices for random websites every day.

But still, Scratch might be a good choice in their eyes considering that parents are all for paying for educational stuff. But then again, Scratch is used in many schools. And a lot of schools are pretty low budget. So they probably wouldn't want to spend the money on it. They could get it for free from the gouverment though.

No this process will take 2 months. Thankfully. But sadly it will happen.

At least I'll have 2 months before I'll have to leave Scratch.
There's no guarantee they'll block scratch, it's just a kids site, why would they care?

It's VERY popular.

Apparently, Scratch is the #1119th visited site in the world. Is that enough to get it blocked?

It is popular, but not as popular as, say, Facebook.

Not to mention, their popularity would go way down as soon as a headline appears in the news that says: “KIDS SITE SHUTDOWN BY TELECOM COMPANY”

If Scratch's ISP blocks Scatch, then yes. But any other site founded in the US that gets blocked by their ISP (ex. Google, Facebook) then still, yes.

Oh dear… Wishing you all the best of luck on this. There is a video on YouTube about net neutrality, find it by searching up, “ CPG Grey net neutrality”.
Wonder how many people will move out the USA after this…

No, your ISP stops you from viewing it, not theirs.

Well really, yes. The servers need an internet connection from their ISP too. So if their ISP blocks access to that particular server, then all devices won't be able to find the server, because it's blocked.

Could this possibly be happening right now for Cable One users? I know it's two months away, but my YT has been REALLY slow today. Even worse for the ads. The ads have been buffering for three seconds at a time before showing me 1 second of footage.

Not sure. I do know that Verizon was throttling YT earlier this year.

Google is probably just putting up more ads so google can get their hands around this whole Net Neutrality trash. Google doesn't seem to like it at the moment.
