support .bmp files
scratch should support .bmp files! why?
well, some of the images that i REALLY want to import are .bmp files, and I have no idea how to convert them…. and not everybody has the software to (i.e library computer or a computer that is to old to support software and you are afraid of converting websites as they may be dangerous]

Support. .bmp stands for bitmap, so it would work.
Also next time you bump you should to .bump

Semi-support. This would be nice but you can just use an online converter.
